We present cross sections for heavy flavour production through photon gluon fusion in electron proton collisions at HERA energy. The electron photon vertex is taken into account explicitly, and theQ 2 of the exchanged photon ranges from nearly zero (almost real photon) to the kinematically allowed maximum. In our approach the scale is set by the mass of the produced quarks. Our formalism is also applicable to the production of light quarks as long as the invariant mass of the pair is sufficiently high, so we also give cross sections for \(u\bar u,d\bar d\) and \(s\bar s\) production. 相似文献

Mesoporous RuO2 films were electrochemically fabricated on ITO-coated glass substrate from aqueous ruthenium chloride (RuCl3·nH2O) solution. To achieve highly stable mesoporous structure, an aqueous mixture of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) was used as a templating agent.The mesoporous structure was confirmed by small angle X-ray diffraction (SAXRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The addition of small amount (10wt%) of CTAB significantly improved the stability of porous structure. The crystallinity of synthesized RuO2 thin film was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Specific capacitance of the synthesized films was evaluated by measuring cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charge-discharge curves in 0.5 M H2SO4. Compared with non-porous electrode, mesoporous RuO2 showed higher supercapacitor performance. 相似文献

CO oxidation reactivity of bare and TiO2-coated nanoparticles consisting of both NiO and Ni(OH)2 surfaces was studied. For the deposition of TiO2, atomic layer deposition was used, and formation of three-dimensional domains of TiO2 on NiO-Ni(OH)2 could be identified. Based on the data of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, we suggest that upon TiO2 deposition only Ni(OH)2 was remained on the surface, whereas NiO surface disappeared. Both CO adsorption and CO oxidation took place on NiO-Ni(OH)2 surfaces under our experimental conditions. CO adsorption was almost completely suppressed after TiO2 deposition, whereas CO oxidation activity was maintained to large extent. It is proposed that bare NiO cannot be active for CO oxidation, and can only uptake CO under our experimental condition, whereas hydroxylated surface of NiO can be active for CO oxidation. 相似文献

We report on the fabrication of efficient annealing-free organic solar cells using co-solvent solution considered as a promising method for low-cost and time-saving manufacturing. Higher device efficiency could be obtained compared to the pure solvent casted device, resulting from the improved crystallinity, optical absorption and transport properties. The power conversion efficiency of 2.8% was obtained, demonstrating the feasibility of achieving low-cost and high-efficiency organic solar cells without any additional treatment and processing additives. 相似文献

Sodium magnetic resonance (MR) imaging is a promising technique for detecting changes of proteoglycan (PG) content in cartilage associated with knee osteoarthritis. Despite its potential clinical benefit, sodium MR imaging in vivo is challenging because of intrinsically low sodium concentration and low MR signal sensitivity. Some of the challenges in sodium MR imaging may be eliminated by the use of a high-sensitivity radiofrequency (RF) coil, specifically, a dual-tuned (DT) proton/sodium RF coil which facilitates the co-registration of sodium and proton MR images and the evaluation of both physiochemical and structural properties of knee cartilage. Nevertheless, implementation of a DT proton/sodium RF coil is technically difficult because of the coupling effect between the coil elements (particularly at high field) and the required compact design with improved coil sensitivity. In this study, we applied a multitransceiver RF coil design to develop a DT proton/sodium coil for knee cartilage imaging at 3 T. With the new design, the size of the coil was minimized, and a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) was achieved. DT coil exhibited high levels of reflection S11 (~-21 dB) and transmission coefficient S12 (~-19 dB) for both the proton and sodium coils. High SNR (range 27-38) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) (range 15-21) were achieved in sodium MR imaging of knee cartilage in vivo at 3-mm(3) isotropic resolution. This DT coil performance was comparable to that measured using a sodium-only birdcage coil (SNR of 28 and CNR of 20). Clinical evaluation of the DT coil on four normal subjects demonstrated a consistent acquisition of high-resolution proton images and measurement of relative sodium concentrations of knee cartilages without repositioning of the subjects during the same MR scanning session. 相似文献

The distance at which harbor porpoises can hear underwater detonation sounds is unknown, but depends, among other factors, on the hearing threshold of the species for impulsive sounds. Therefore, the underwater hearing threshold of a young harbor porpoise for an impulsive sound, designed to mimic a detonation pulse, was quantified by using a psychophysical technique. The synthetic exponential pulse with a 5?ms time constant was produced and transmitted by an underwater projector in a pool. The resulting underwater sound, though modified by the response of the projection system and by the pool, exhibited the characteristic features of detonation sounds: A zero to peak sound pressure level of at least 30?dB (re 1?s(-1)) higher than the sound exposure level, and a short duration (34?ms). The animal's 50% detection threshold for this impulsive sound occurred at a received unweighted broadband sound exposure level of 60?dB re 1?μPa(2)s. It is shown that the porpoise's audiogram for short-duration tonal signals [Kastelein et al., J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 128, 3211-3222 (2010)] can be used to estimate its hearing threshold for impulsive sounds. 相似文献

We report on the fabrication of a transparent photostable cell circuit composed of drive and resistor diodes which are face‐to‐face connected to each other with different device area. The diodes consisted of e‐beam evaporated p‐NiO on sputter‐deposited n‐ZnO for p/n diode formation on indium‐tin‐oxide glass. Our transparent diodes show photostable rectifying behavior, about 103 on/off current ratio and even dynamic rectification at a maximum frequency of 100 Hz AC input signal in ambient light. The noticeable photo‐responsivity of the circuit was obtained only under ultraviolet (UV) light. Optical properties of InGaAsN/GaAs and InGaAsN/GaAsN/GaAs quantum well structures with InGaP cladding layers were studied by photoreflectance at various temperatures. The excitonic interband transitions of the InGaAsN/GaAsN/GaAs QW systems were observed in the spectral range above hν=Eg(InGaAsN). The confinement potential of the system with strain compensating GaAsN barriers became one step broader, thus more quantum states and larger optical transition rate were observed. A matrix transfer algorithm was used to calculate the subband energies numerically. Band gap energies, effective masses were adopted from the band anti-crossing model with band-offset values adjusted to obtain the subband energies to best fit the observed optical transition features. A spectral feature below and near the GaAs band gap energy from GaAs barriers is enhanced by the GaAs/InGaP interface space charge accumulation induced internal field. 相似文献

Adopting both conducting polyaniline (PANI) and organic titanium dioxide (TiO2), which possesses a high dielectric constant, we synthesized PANI/TiO2 hybrids via in situ oxidative polymerization to prepare an electrorheological (ER) materials. These were then characterized via thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The ER responses and dielectric properties of the synthesized hybrids dispersed in silicone oil were measured as a function of different particle fractions of TiO2 under an applied electric field. Series of analyses revealed that composite composition (the ratio of TiO2 to PANI) plays a crucial role in affecting the ER performance, which exhibited interesting behaviors when the ratio of TiO2 to PANI approaches a critical value. Interestingly, we found that our proposed constitutive equation fit the shear stress in the low shear rate region better than the Bingham fluid model. The dielectric spectra of the ER fluid, along with polarizability, were found to explain the flow behaviors of the PANI/TiO2 under applied electric fields. 相似文献

ZnO nanowires were fabricated on c-plane (0 0 0 1), a-plane (1 1 2¯ 0) sapphire, and boron doped p-type (1 0 0) Si substrates in vacuum furnace by simple physical vapor deposition. Room temperature photoluminescence spectra of the nanowires show the near band-edge emission and the deep-level green light emission. The ZnO nanowires formed on sapphire (1 1 2¯ 0) substrates exhibited enhancement on optical properties and better crystalline structures than those of nanowires grown on other substrates. The formation mechanism and the effect of substrate direction on structural and optical properties of the nanowires are discussed. 相似文献
