The heats of formation of C3 and C4 alkyl nitrites (RONO) have been determined via their heats of combustion by bomb calorimetry, thereby providing a complete set of values of ΔHºf for C1-C4 alkyl nitrites. The experimental values are in excellent agreement with values derived from group additivity rules. For branched compounds these calculations involve corrections for gauche interactions. In these cases, the gauche interactions are reflected in the activation energies E1 determined by recent kinetic studies, required for breaking the RO-NO bond. The heats of formation of the alkoxy radicals involved together with ΔHºf(NO) = 21.6 kcal/mole leads to the result D(RO-NO) = 41.5 ± 1 kcal/mole. The concordance between D(thermochemical) and D(kinetic), unlike previous kinetic studies, implies that E2 = 0 ± 1 kcal/mole.  相似文献

The mass spectral fragmentation patterns of 3-methyl-4-arylaminomethyleneisoxazol-5-ones obtained by electron impact have been elucidated. The base peaks are due to the molecular ions. The main fragmentation routes involve loss of H, OH, H2O, CO2 and COOH from the molecular ions as well as rupture of the exocyclic CH-NH bond.  相似文献

Two experiments on the discrimination of time-varying tactile stimuli were performed, with comparison of stimulus delivery to the distal pad of the right index finger and to the right wrist (palmar surface). Subjects were required to perceive differences in short sequences of computer-generated stimulus elements (experiment 1) or differences in short tactile stimuli derived from a speech signal (experiment 2). The pulse-train stimuli were distinguished by differences in frequency (i.e., pulse repetition rate) and amplitude, and by the presence/absence of gaps (approximately 100-ms duration). Stimulation levels were 10 dB higher at the wrist than at the fingertip, to compensate for the lower vibration sensitivity at the wrist. Results indicate similar gap detection at wrist and fingertip and similar perception of frequency differences. However, perception of amplitude differences was found to be better at the wrist than at the fingertip. Maximum information transfer rates for the stimuli in experiment 1 were estimated at 7 bits s(-1) at the wrist and 5 bits s(-1) at the fingertip.  相似文献

CdSe nanocrystals in solution and films can enter a metastable state in which the highly luminescent nanocrystals become dark. This change, which we attribute to a surface transformation, can be caused by heating or by changing the environment of the nanocrystals at room temperature. The metastable transformation is reversed upon illumination of above-band-gap light, at which point the nanocrystals are again highly luminescent.  相似文献

This report covers initial studies in the coaggregation of nickel (Ni2+) and lanthanide (Ln3+) metal ions to form complexes with interesting structural and magnetic properties. The tripodal amine phenol ligand H3tam (1,1,1-tris(((2-hydroxybenzyl)amino)methyl)ethane) is shown to be particularly accommodating with respect to the geometric constraints of both transition and lanthanide metal ions, forming isolable complexes with both of these ion types. In the solid-state structure of [Ni(H2tam)(CH3CN)]PF6.2.5CH3CN.0.5CH3OH (1), the Ni(II) center has a distorted octahedral geometry, with an N3O2 donor set from the [H2tam]- ligand and a coordinated solvent (acetonitrile) occupying the sixth site. The reaction of stoichiometric amounts of H3tam with the Ni(II) ion in the presence of lanthanide(III) ions provides [LnNi2(tam)2]+ cationic complexes which contain coaggregated metal ions. These complexes are isolable and have been characterized by a variety of analytical techniques, with mass spectrometry proving to be particularly diagnostic. The solid-state structures of [LaNi2(tam)2(CH3OH)1/2(CH3CH2OH)1/2(H2O)]ClO4.0.5CH3OH.0.5CH3CH2OH.4H2O (2), [DyNi2(tam)2(CH3OH)(H2O)]ClO4.CH3OH. H2O(6), and [YbNi2(tam)2(H2O)]ClO4.2.58H2O(9) have been determined. Each complex contains two octahedral Ni(II) ions, each of which is encapsulated by the ligand tam3- in an N3O3 coordination sphere; each [Ni(tam)]-unit caps the lanthanide(III) ion via bridging phenoxy oxygen donor atoms. In 2, La3+ is eight-coordinated, while in 6, Dy(III) is seven- (to "weakly eight-") coordinated, and Yb(III) in 9 has a six-coordination environment. The complexes are symmetrically different, 2 possessing C2 symmetry and 6 and 9 having C1 symmetry. Magnetic studies of 2, 6, and 9 indicate that antiferromagnetic exchange coupling between the Ni(II) and Ln(III) ions increases with decreasing ionic radius of Ln(III).  相似文献

Variation in duration and frequency during two readings of each of four sentences by 15 normal 9- and 10-year-old children were compared. Instructions to the children included overt cues designed specifically to elicit durational and frequency changes. Children demonstrated increased sentence variability in their voices when they were cued. Specific key words in the four sentences were also analyzed and results indicated that semantic content in addition to parameter-specific cognitive cues provided a significant effect. The male 9 and 10-year-old subjects showed less variability in “no cue” readings than the females, but showed a greater increase in voice change during the “cognitive cue” readings. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.  相似文献

Harmonic complexes comprised of the same spectral components in either positive-Schroeder (+Schr) or negative-Schroeder (-Schr) phase [see Schroeder, IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 16, 85-89 (1970)] have identical long-term spectra and similar waveform envelopes. However, localized patterns of basilar-membrane (BM) excitation can be quite different in response to these two stimuli. Measurements in chinchillas showed more modulated (peakier) BM excitation for +Schr than -Schr complexes [Recio and Rhode, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 108, 2281-2298 (2000)]. In the current study, laser velocimetry was used to examine BM responses at a location tuned to approximately 17 kHz in the basal turn of the guinea-pig cochlea, for +Schr and -Schr complexes with a 203-Hz fundamental frequency and including 101 equal-amplitude components from 2031 to 22,344 Hz. At 35-dB SPL, +Schr response waveforms showed greater amplitude modulation than -Schr responses. With increasing stimulation level, internal modulation decreased for both complexes. To understand the observed phenomena quantitatively, responses were predicted on the basis of a linearized model of the cochlea. Prediction was based on an "indirect impulse response" measured in the same animal. Response waveforms for Schroeder-phase signals were accurately predicted, provided that the level of the indirect impulse used in prediction closely matched the level of the Schroeder-phase stimulus. This result confirms that the underlying model, which originally was developed for noise stimuli, is valid for stimuli that produce completely different response waveforms. Moreover, it justifies explanation of cochlear filtering (i.e., differential treatment of different frequencies) in terms of a linear system.  相似文献
