Interaction potentials of the iodine atom, atomic cation, and anion with light rare-gas atoms from He to Ar are calculated within the unified ab initio approach using the unrestricted coupled-cluster with singles and doubles and perturbative treatment of triples correlation treatment, relativistic small-core pseudopotential, and an extended basis set. Ab initio points are fit to a flexible analytical function. The calculated potentials are compared with available literature data, assessed in the I(-)-and I+-ion mobility calculations and the Ar-I(-)-anion zero electron kinetic-energy spectra simulations, and analyzed using the correlation rules. The results indicate a high precision of the reported potentials.  相似文献

A new synthesis of 6‐carbomethoxy‐1,2,3,5‐tetrahydroirnidazo[2,3‐b][1,3]benzodiazocines 13 by the intramolecular cycloaddition reaction of methyl 2‐(1‐aziridinylmethyl)‐3‐(2‐ureidophenyl)propenoates 10 under Appel's dehydration conditions is described. The latter were readily obtained from 2‐nitrobenzalde‐hyde with methyl acrylate through the Baylis‐Hillman reaction.  相似文献

Poly(arylene ether sulfone) (PSF), showing good thermal stability and excellent mechanical properties, was synthesized as an anion‐exchange matrix. It was synthesized by the condensation polymerization between bisphenol A and 4,4′‐dichlorodiphenylsulfone. 1°‐Amine‐containing poly(arylene ether sulfone) (1°‐APSF) was synthesized by the reduction reaction of a nitrated PSF. Then, it was transferred to 3°‐amine‐containing poly(arylene ether sulfone) (3°‐APSF) by the alkylation of the amine of 1°‐APSF. The properties of PSF, 1°‐APSF, and 3°‐APSF were investigated by Fourier transform infrared, 1H NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis. The introduction of the 3°‐amine group into PSF increased the glass‐transition temperature but decreased thermooxidative stability. The ion‐exchange capacities of 1°‐APSF and 3°‐APSF were shown to be 2.24 and 2.86 mequiv/g, respectively. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 40: 4281–4287, 2002  相似文献

Resveratrol has been shown to possess antioxidant and anticancer activities, but little is known on the effect of resveratrol derivatives. Recently we have isolated resveratrol and its dimers and trimers from peony (Paeonia lactiflora) seeds, and reported their strong antioxidant and cytotoxic activity. In the present study, we have evaluated cellular effects of resveratrol derivatives; viniferin, gnetin H, and suffruticosol B on the proliferation and apoptosis in HL-60 cells in vitro. All resveratrol and its derivatives reduced viability of HL-60 cells in a dose-dependent manner with their IC(50) values of 20-90 microM. Ascending orders of IC(50) values were suffruticosol B, gnetin H, viniferin and resveratrol respectively. HL-60 cells treated with the four stilbenes exhibited the distinct morphological changes characteristics of cell apoptosis such as chromatin condensation, apoptotic bodies, and DNA fragmentations. A time-dependent histogram of the cellular DNA analyzed by flow cytometry revealed a rapid increase in subdiploid cells and a concomitant decrease in diploid cells exposed to 100 microM resveratrol for 0-24 h. Cells treated with 25 microM of resveratrol, viniferin, gnetin H, and suffruticosol B for 24 h resulted in increment of sub-G1 population by 51, 5, 11 and 59%, respectively. Treatment of cells with 0-20 microM resveratrol for 5 h produced a concentration-dependent decrease in cytochrome P450 (CYP) 1B1 mRNA levels. Suffruticosol B also suppressed CYP1B1 gene expression. These results demonstrated that resveratrol oligomers also strongly suppressed HL-60 cell proliferation, and induced DNA damage. In addition, CYP1B1 gene supression may suggest an involvement in the resveratrol-induced apoptosis in HL-60 cells.  相似文献

To prepare water‐soluble, syndiotacticity‐rich poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) microfibrils for various industrial applications, we synthesized syndiotacticity‐rich, low molecular weight PVA by the solution polymerization of vinyl pivalate (VPi) in tetrahydrofuran (THF) at low temperatures with 2,2′‐azobis(2,4‐dimethylvaleronitrile) (ADMVN) as an initiator and successive saponification of poly(vinyl pivalate) (PVPi). Effects of the initiator and monomer concentrations and the polymerization temperature were investigated in terms of the polymerization behaviors and molecular structures of PVPi and the corresponding syndiotacticity‐rich PVA. The polymerization rate of VPi in THF was proportional to the 0.91 power of the ADMVN concentration, indicating the heterogeneous nature of THF polymerization. The low‐temperature solution polymerization of VPi in THF with ADMVN proved to be successful in obtaining water‐soluble PVA with a number‐average degree of polymerization (Pn) of 300–900, a syndiotactic dyad content of 60–63%, and an ultimate conversion of VPi into PVPi of over 75%. Despite the low molecular weight of PVA with Pn = 800, water‐soluble PVA microfibrillar fibers were prepared because of the high level of syndiotacticity. In contrast, for PVA with Pn = 330, shapeless and globular morphologies were observed, indicating that molecular weight has an important role in the in situ fibrillation of syndiotacticity‐rich PVA. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Agastache rugosa Kuntze (Korean mint) is used as a spice and in folk medicine in East Asia. The present study identified a total of 18 polyphenols from the flower, leaf, stem and roots of this plant using high‐performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. Fourteen of these compounds had not previously been identified in these plant tissues. Each polyphenol was validated in comparison with external calibration curves constructed using structurally related compounds, with determination coefficients >0.9993. The limits of detection and quantification were 0.092–0.650 and 0.307–2.167 mg/L, respectively. Recoveries of 61.92–116.44% were observed at two spiking levels, with 0.91–11% precision, expressed as relative standard deviation (except anthraquinone spiked at 10 mg/L). Hydroxycinnamic acid was the most abundant compound in the root, while the flowers showed the highest total flavonoid level. Antioxidant activities, determined in terms of reducing power, Fe2+ chelating activity and the radical scavenging activities using α,α‐diphenyl‐β‐picrylhydrazyl and 2‐2?‐azino‐bis‐3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulfonic acid, increased in a concentration‐dependent manner; the highest activity was identified in the stems, followed by leaves > flowers > roots. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of a physical water treatment (PWT) technology on fouling mitigation in a simulated cooling tower operating at high cycles of concentration. Hard water was produced by evaporating pure water in a circulating open cooling tower, where dissolved calcium carbonate ions became concentrated with time. Heat transfer tests were conducted in a rectangular channel by varying the cycle of concentration (COC) from 5 to 10, and fouling resistances were measured over 270 hrs for each case with and without the PWT treatment. Another test was conducted with no blowdown case with and without the PWT treatment. The fouling resistance at 5 cycles with the PWT treatment was about 70% less than that in the case without the PWT treatment at the end of 270-hr tests. Even at 10 cycles, the PWT treatment reduced the fouling resistance by 60% from the value for the no treatment case. Thus, one can conclude that the PWT technology can help circulating cooling-tower water at relatively high COC for significant freshwater conservation, while keeping fouling resistances below industry standards.  相似文献
