We resolve the thermal motion of a high-stress silicon nitride nanobeam at frequencies far below its fundamental flexural resonance (3.4 MHz) using cavity-enhanced optical interferometry. Over two decades, the displacement spectrum is well-modeled by that of a damped harmonic oscillator driven by a 1/f thermal force, suggesting that the loss angle of the beam material is frequency-independent. The inferred loss angle at 3.4 MHz, ?=4.5?10?6, agrees well with the quality factor (Q) of the fundamental beam mode (?=Q?1). In conjunction with Q measurements made on higher order flexural modes, and accounting for the mode dependence of stress-induced loss dilution, we find that the intrinsic (undiluted) loss angle of the beam changes by less than a factor of 2 between 50 kHz and 50 MHz. We discuss the impact of such “structural damping” on experiments in quantum optomechanics, in which the thermal force acting on a mechanical oscillator coupled to an optical cavity is overwhelmed by radiation pressure shot noise. As an illustration, we show that structural damping reduces the bandwidth of ponderomotive squeezing.  相似文献

A method to estimate the deformation operator for the 3D volumetric lung dynamics of human subjects is described in this paper. For known values of air flow and volumetric displacement, the deformation operator and subsequently the elastic properties of the lung are estimated in terms of a Green's function. A Hyper-Spherical Harmonic (HSH) transformation is employed to compute the deformation operator. The hyper-spherical coordinate transformation method discussed in this paper facilitates accounting for the heterogeneity of the deformation operator using a finite number of frequency coefficients. Spirometry measurements are used to provide values for the airflow inside the lung. Using a 3D optical flow-based method, the 3D volumetric displacement of the left and right lungs, which represents the local anatomy and deformation of a human subject, was estimated from 4D-CT dataset. Results from an implementation of the method show the estimation of the deformation operator for the left and right lungs of a human subject with non-small cell lung cancer. Validation of the proposed method shows that we can estimate the Young's modulus of each voxel within a 2% error level.  相似文献

We present spatially resolved spectral mode mapping of resonant plasmon gap antennas using two-photon luminescence microspectroscopy. The obtained maps are in good agreement with 3D calculations of the antenna modes. The evolution of the modal field with wavelength, both in the gap and along the two coupled gold nanowires forming the antenna, is directly visualized. At resonance, the luminescence for the gap area is enhanced at least 80 times and a comparison with the antenna extremities shows a dynamical charge redistribution due to the near-field coupling between the two arms.  相似文献

Electron-rich π-conjugated dianions are known to be ambient unstable and their stabilization in ambient water is yet to be realized. We report the first example of an exceptionally stable naphthalenediimide-based dianion in ambient and hot water, forming one of the most stable redox-active dianion. The half-life (t1/2) of dianion ( 1 a2− ) is more than four months in ambient water. The dianionic state was confirmed by X-ray crystallography and by various spectroscopic methods. The noncovalent electronic conduits introduced for the first time in dianions, embrace nOπ*C≡N interactions and aid in delocalizing the dianionic charge as validated from theoretical studies. The dianions harness strong NIR absorption and electron donor ability to organic acceptors and metal ions, which make them suitable for potential green energy applications.  相似文献

Abstract— In vitro phosphorylation of some polypeptides was affected in extracts obtained from 5-and 6-day-old plants irradiated with 5 min of red light. The phosphorylation of 55 kDa polypeptide in both 5- and 6-day-old plants, a 60 kDa, and 76 kDa polypeptide in 6-day-old plants and 70 kDa, 67 kDa polypeptide in 5-day-old plants was stimulated by red light. This effect was reversible by far-red light. The extent of stimulation by red light and reversal by far-red light varied for different polypeptides. No differential effect of red and far-red light was seen on the phosphorylation of 94 and 40 kDa polypeptides. In fact, phosphorylation of 94 kDa polypeptide in 6-day-old plants decreased on red light irradiation. These results show that the phosphorylation or dephosphorylation of some proteins is affected by phytochrome and the effect of light is also dependent on the age of the plant.  相似文献

Experimental results on multiplicity distributions in different pseudorapidity intervals of charged shower particles produced in proton-AgBr and proton-CNO collisions at 800 GeV are presented. The different distributions are described well by the negative binomial form. We successfully interpret our results in terms of the clan model. The values of the rapidity gap probability in terms of average number of clans in different pseudorapidity intervals are also determined.  相似文献

With diabetes being the 7th leading cause of death worldwide, overcoming issues limiting the oral administration of insulin is of global significance. The development of imine-linked-covalent organic framework (nCOF) nanoparticles for oral insulin delivery to overcome these delivery barriers is herein reported. A gastro-resistant nCOF was prepared from layered nanosheets with insulin loaded between the nanosheet layers. The insulin-loaded nCOF exhibited insulin protection in digestive fluids in vitro as well as glucose-responsive release, and this hyperglycemia-induced release was confirmed in vivo in diabetic rats without noticeable toxic effects. This is strong evidence that nCOF-based oral insulin delivery systems could replace traditional subcutaneous injections easing insulin therapy.

We report the successful use of a gastro-resistant covalent organic framework for in vivo oral delivery of insulin.  相似文献

C-2 Methylene glycosides were synthesized from C-2 propargyloxymethyl glycals in a stereoselective manner using a catalytic quantity of AuCl3. The Au-catalyzed reaction was explored using various aglycones. The current protocol enables the preparation of C-2 methylene glycosides, tolerates diverse functional groups and is fast, catalytic and mild.  相似文献
