Thermosetting blend system of co-cured cyanate ester with epoxy resin is receiving importance for high technological applications because of its wide range of thermo-mechanical, rheological, and electrical properties. However, processing of these system warrant proper knowledge of the rheological behavior of the blend during the curing process. A 3,3-sigmatropic rearrangement in the M+· of phenyl allenylmethyl ether is proposed for the observed losses of CO, C2H4, and CH3. Direct cyclization in the M+· also leads to the [M?CH3] ion. The presence of sulfur as the heteroatom in phenyl allenylmethyl sulfide does not significantly influence the occurrence of Claisen rearrangement. Ortho interaction of the nitro group with the allenyl double bond in the side chain leads to characteristic fragment ions in 2-nitrophenyl allenylmethyl ether. Linked scans, high-resolution mass spectrometry, collision-activated dissociation-B/E linked-scan spectra, and D-labeling have been employed to support the proposed mechanisms and ion structures. 相似文献

A novel simulation procedure for estimating the dehydration energies of NaCl solutions spanning a wide range of concentrations, which incorporates ionic and molecular sizes, ion-pair formation, etc., is proposed on geometric and phenomenological considerations. The extent of dehydration during each movement of the hydrated molecule is evaluated using the expected and actual displacement of the species and mean nearest-neighbor distances. The aggregation of alpha-synuclein in dopaminergic neurons of the substantia nigra is a critical step in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. We show that the antibiotic rifampicin inhibited alpha-synuclein fibrillation and disaggregated existing fibrils in a concentration-dependent manner. Size-exclusion chromatography data indicated that rifampicin stabilized alpha-synuclein as both a monomer and soluble oligomers comprised of partially folded alpha-synuclein. Experiments using aged samples of rifampicin indicated that the most active species in inhibiting fibrillation and disaggregating fibrils is an oxidation product of rifampicin, which was confirmed in experiments under anaerobic conditions. These results indicate that rifampicin-mediated inhibition of alpha-synuclein fibrillation and disaggregation of fibrils involves preferential stabilization of monomeric and soluble oligomeric forms, and that rifampicin potentially may have therapeutic application for Parkinson's disease. 相似文献

Recent research has shown that, like porphyrins, phycocyanin (PC) too can produce singlet oxygen upon excitation with the appropriate radiation and hence could be useful in photodynamic therapy (PDT) for cancer. Unlike porphyrins, PC has the advantage of being a non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, soluble protein. However, the challenge would be to target the fluorescent phycobiliprotein to malignant cells. We report here that the tumor-specific lectin, jacalin, binds PC specifically in a carbohydrate-independent manner and with affinities better than that for porphyrins. Hence the lectin could prove to be a useful carrier for targeted delivery of PC. The interaction involves both ionic and hydrophobic interactions and more than one contact site. 相似文献

The paper deals with the comparative study of nanocrystalline Lanthanum hexaboride (LaB6) thin films grown on various substrates by Pulsed laser deposition and Arc plasma method. Field emission studies were carried
out on LaB6 films deposited on various substrates show metallic behavior of the emitters. The high value of field enhancement factors,
indicating that the electron emission from LaB6 nanoscale protrusions deposited on emitter surface. The post field emission surface morphology of the emitters showed no
significant erosion of the films during continuous operation. The observed behavior indicates that it is linked with the growth
of LaB6 films on substrate crystal structure. The LaB6 nanocrystallites/nanowires films were synthesized using arc plasma method shows good emission current stability. The LaB6 micro/nanocrystallites were also obtained by picosecond laser irradiation which gives high enhancement β factor, and good emission current stability along with high current density. The results reveal that nanocrystalline LaB6 films, exhibit high resistance to ion bombardment and excellent structural stability and are more promising emitters for
