Nuclear magnetic resonance study of Na (DxH1−x)3(SeO3)2 crystals

A comparison of the quadrupole perturbed deuteron magnetic resonance spectra of the α,β, and γ phase of partially deuterated sodium trihydrogen selenite crystals shows that not only in the monoclinic γ but also in the triclinic β phase the deutrons are ordered whereas they are disordered in the α phase. Spin-lattice relaxation time measurements show the existence of slow hindered rotations of the HSeO₃ and H₂SeO₃ groups at high temperatures as well as the existence of an overdamped ferroelectric soft mode which condenses at the paraelectric to ferroelectric transition.     

Functionallization of the δ-carbon atom by the ferrous ion induced decomposition of alkyl hydroperoxides in the presence of cupric salts

In the ferrous ion induced decomposition of alkyl hydroperoxides in the presence of cupric halides or pseudohalides, intramolecular functionalization, with ligand transfer from cupric salts to δ-carbon atom, is achieved.     

Measurement of internal conversionK/L 3 andK/L ratios forE2 transition

Internal conversionK/L ₃ ratio forE2 transitions was measured for nuclei with mass numbers from 152–198, and the energy interval of 80–500keV. The results of all the 11 transitions measured are in good agreement with theoretical values ofSliv andBand, Pauli, Bhalla andHager andSeltzer.¹⁵²Eu,¹⁶⁰Tb,¹⁶⁶Ho,¹⁸²Ta,¹⁸⁶Re,¹⁸⁸Re, Radioactivity¹⁹²Ir,¹⁹⁸Au/all (n, γ)/measuredc c ratios.

Nano‐antennae assisted emission of extreme ultraviolet radiation

High‐order harmonic generation in xenon with oscillator repetition rates is studied. The necessary intensity is reached via plasmonic field enhancement at nanostructured arrays of bow‐tie gold antennae. The theoretical analysis focuses on the thermal properties and the damage threshold of the bow‐tie antennae. On the experimental side the number of contributing atoms is determined and optimized. Extreme ultraviolet radiation is successfully observed with photon fluxes almost an order of magnitude larger than previously reported.     

Gradient enhanced third harmonic generation in a femtosecond filament

The third harmonic generated during femtosecond filamentation in air is studied. By establishing a gradient from atmospheric pressure to vacuum conditions, we truncate the filament abruptly at defined positions. The introduction of the pressure gradient leads to an enhancement of the generated third harmonic radiation by 3 orders of magnitude. This effect is attributed to an improved on-axis phase-matching condition. We investigate the spectral shape and the conversion efficiency of the third harmonic during the propagation in the filament.     

An Application of Differential Subordinations

By using the method of differential subordinations we obtain a result which gives some criteria for univalency in the unit disk.     

The 693 keV 2+′→2+ transition in154Gd

The multipolarity of the 2²⁺′→2⁺ transition in¹⁵⁴Gd has been investigated. The correlation coefficientA ₂₂=? 0.04±0.10 was determined on an electron — gamma directional correlation spectrometer, while the conversion coefficient α _K =0.046±0.002 was deduced by comparing the normalised electron and gamma intensities. From these values the quantities δ,q _K andX were calculated and compared with the theoretical predictions.
