Three anthraquinones, Cdc25B phosphatase inhibitors, were isolated from the methanolic extract of the roots of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. (Polygonaceae). Anthraquinones, physcion (1), emodin (2), and questin (3), inhibited the enzymatic activity of Cdc25B phosphatase with IC(50) values of 62.5, 30, and 34 microg mL(-1), respectively. Emodin (2) and questin (3) strongly inhibited the growth of human colon cancer cells, SW620 with GI(50) values of 6.1 and 0.9 microg mL(-1), respectively. Commercially available anthraquinones, chrysophanol (4), and rhein (5) also inhibited Cdc25B phosphatase with IC(50) values of 10.7 and 22.1 microg mL(-1), respectively.  相似文献

We have used time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy to study the light emission dynamics in a semiconductor microcavity as a function of excitation density and exciton-cavity detuning. We paid special attention to polariton spin relaxation by using circularly polarized excitation. We have found a striking behavior of the photoluminescence degree of polarization, which reaches its maximum value at a finite time. As the excitation density is increased and the system enters the stimulated emission regime, this maximum is followed by a negative dip, whose depth strongly depends on exciton-cavity detuning.  相似文献

Summary: A feasible method for the preparation of antimicrobial ultrafine fibers with silver nanoparticles was developed by direct electrospinning of a cellulose acetate (CA) solution with small amounts of silver nitrate followed by photoreduction. Silver nanoparticles in ultrafine CA fibers were stabilized by interactions with carbonyl oxygen atoms in CA. Ultrafine CA fibers with silver nanoparticles showed very strong antimicrobial activity.

The separation of six-component blends of chemically similar homopolymers utilising the full adsorption-desorption (FAD) process is presented. The main advantage of the FAD approach over other methods represents the successive and independent size- exclusion chromatography (SEC) characterisation of all blend components. The method is based on the full adsorption and retention of all n or n−1 components of the polymer blend from an adsorption promoting liquid (ADSORLI) in a small FAD column. Nonadsorbed macromolecules are forwarded directly into SEC for molecular characterisation. Next, appropriate displacers are successively applied to the FAD column to selectively release preadsorbed blend constituents into the on-line SEC column. Dynamic integral desorption isotherms for single constituents, as well as for polymer blends to be analysed, allow identification of optimal displacer compositions to release just one kind of macromolecule. Model polymer blends containing polystyrene (PS), poly(lauryl methacrylate), poly(butyl methacrylate), poly(ethyl methacrylate), poly(methyl methacrylate) and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) or, alternatively, PS, poly(2-ethylhexyl acrylate), poly(butyl acrylate), poly(ethyl acrylate), poly(methyl acrylate) and PEO of similar molar masses can be separated and characterised in one multistep run using nonporous silica FAD packing, toluene as an ADSORLI and its mixtures with a desorption promoting liquid such as ethyl acetate, tetrahydrofuran or dimetylformamide to form displacers with appropriate desorption strength. We present a method for the quantification and correction of geometrical/intensity distortions of magnetic resonance images predominantly caused by bulk magnetic susceptibility shifts due to susceptibility heterogeneities of measured biologic tissues and shape of the object under investigation. The method includes precise and fast measurements of the static magnetic-field distribution inside the measured object and automated data processing. Magnetic-field deviations in the range −2.4; 2.6 ppm were found in the human brain at B0 = 1.5 T. For routinely used imaging parameters, with a read gradient strength of about 1 mT/m, the magnetic-field perturbations in the human brain can cause geometrical distortions up to ±4 mm and intensity changes up to ±50%. MR images corrected by the described method are suitable for planning high precision applications in neurosurgery.  相似文献

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) microfibrils were prepared directly via the solution polymerization of acrylonitrile at specified ratios of controlling solvent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) to non‐solvent tert‐butyl alcohol. At first, gel formation occurred due to the interaction between DMSO and the cyano groups of PAN. The microfibrillar structure was then formed through the phase separation of PAN molecules from the gel. It is shown that very small variations in the solvent/non‐solvent ratio facilitate a major change in the gelation and phase separation processes.  相似文献

Memory deterioration in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is thought to be underpinned by aberrant amyloid β (Aβ) accumulation, which contributes to synaptic plasticity impairment. Avenanthramide-C (Avn-C), a polyphenol compound found predominantly in oats, has a range of biological properties. Herein, we performed methanolic extraction of the Avns-rich fraction (Fr. 2) from germinated oats using column chromatography, and examined the effects of Avn-C on synaptic correlates of memory in a mouse model of AD. Avn-C was identified in Fr. 2 based on 1H-NMR analysis. Electrophysiological recordings were performed to examine the effects of Avn-C on the hippocampal long-term potentiation (LTP) in a Tg2576 mouse model of AD. Avn-C from germinated oats restored impaired LTP in Tg2576 mouse hippocampal slices. Furthermore, Avn-C-facilitated LTP was associated with changes in the protein levels of phospho-glycogen synthase kinase-3β (p-GSK3β-S9) and cleaved caspase 3, which are involved in Aβ-induced synaptic impairment. Our findings suggest that the Avn-C extract from germinated oats may be beneficial for AD-related synaptic plasticity impairment and memory decline.  相似文献
