Semiclassical Symmetries

Essential properties of semiclassical approximation for quantum mechanics are viewed as axioms of an abstract semiclassical mechanics. Its symmetry properties are discussed. Semiclassical systems being invariant under Lie groups are considered. An infinitesimal analog of group relation is written. Sufficient conditions for reconstructing semiclassical group transformations (integrability of representation of Lie algebra) are discussed. The obtained results may be used for mathematical proof of Poincare invariance of semiclassical Hamiltonian field theory and for investigation of quantum anomalies.     

On the axiomatic approach to quasi-classical field theory

We study the connection between quasi-classical field theory and axiomatic statements of the quantum field theory, Schwinger source theory, and the Lehmann-Symanzik-Zimmermann (LSZ) formalism. The classical Schwinger source is connected with the classical field; the LSZ R-function is connected with the quantum field operator. The axioms of the quantum field theory are written in the context of the quasi-classical expansion. In the considered approach, the stationary action principle and canonical commutation relations for field operators are obtained as corollaries and are not postulated as initial statements of the theory.     

The effect of data scaling on dual prices and sensitivity analysis in linear programs

In many practical situations scaling the data is necessary to solve linear programs. This note explores the relationships in translating the sensitivity analysis between the original and the scaled problems.     

Upgrading of the RS-20E High-Current Accelerator for the Investigation of Shock-Wave Processes under Isochoric Energy Absorption

The scheme and parameters of the upgraded RS-20E electron beam generator on the basis of a plasma opening switch (POS) are presented. The output unit of the POS is modified to allow the use of optical diagnostics in investigating wave processes generated in transparent targets by the electron beam of the accelerator. A new optical diagnostic system is also presented. Its scheme allows the four-frame electron-optical registration of a sample in both its own glow and in the laser shadow during propagation of the shock wave generated by the electron beam.     

Functional derivatives of thiophene

The nitration of 3-ethoxycarbonyl-4-hydroxy-2-methyl- and 4-chloro-3-ethoxycarbonyl-2-methylthiophenes has given the corresponding 5-nitro derivatives of thiophene. The 4-chloro-3-ethoxycarbonyl-2-methylthiophene was synthesized by the decarboxylation of 3-chloro-4-ethoxycarbonyl-5-methylthiophene-2-carboxylic acid, which is formed by the oxidation of 3-chloro-4-ethoxycarbonyl-5-methylthiophene-2-carbaldehyde.For Communication IV, see [1].Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 8, pp. 1024–1025, August, 1973.     

Synthesis of derivatives of 2-aminothiophene and of thienoxazine

2-Amino-3-ethoxycarbonylthiophenes are synthesized by condensing alkylidenecyanoacetic esters with sulfur, and converted to a series of 2-aminothiophene derivatives. 4-Oxothienooxazine derivatives are synthesized by reaction of 2-acetylaminothiophene-3-carboxylic acid with acetic anhydride.
