We introduce a U(1) lattice gauge theory with dual gauge fields and study its phase structure. This system is partly motivated by unconventional superconductors like extended s-wave and d -wave superconductors in the strongly-correlated electron systems and also studies of the t–J model in the slave-particle representation. In this theory, the “Cooper-pair” (or RVB spinon-pair) field is put on links of a cubic lattice due to strong on-site repulsion between original electrons in contrast to the ordinary s -wave pair field on sites. This pair field behaves as a gauge field dual to the U(1) gauge field coupled with the hopping of electrons or quasi-particles of the t–J model, holons and spinons. By Monte Carlo simulations we study this lattice gauge model and find a first-order phase transition from the normal state to the Higgs (superconducting) phase. Each gauge field works as a Higgs field for the other gauge field. This mechanism requires no scalar fields in contrast to the ordinary Higgs mechanism. An explicit microscopic model is introduced, the low-energy effective theory of which is viewed as a special case of the present model. 相似文献

Precise characterization of noncollinear optical parametric amplifier idler pulses that have bandwidths of more than an octave with a center wavelength at 990 nm was demonstrated. The method employed was cross-correlation frequency-resolved optical gating with broadband sum-frequency mixing to take advantage of the idler's angular dispersion. Metabolite concentrations in normal adult brains and in gliomas were quantitatively analyzed by in vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) using the fully relaxed water signal as an internal standard. Between January 1998 and October 2001, 28 healthy volunteers and 18 patients with gliomas were examined by in vivo proton MRS. Single-voxel spectra were acquired using the point-resolved spectroscopic (PRESS) pulse sequence with a 1.5 T scanner (TR/TE/Ave = 3000 ms/30 ms/64). The calculated concentrations of N-acetyl-aspartate (NAA), creatine (Cre), choline (Cho), and water(H(2)O) in the normal hemispheric white matter were 23.59 +/- 2.62 mM (mean +/- SD), 13.06 +/- 1.8 mM, 4.28 +/- 0.8 mM, and 47280.96 +/- 5414.85 mM, respectively. The metabolite concentrations were not necessarily uniform in different parts of the brain. The concentrations of NAA and Cre decreased in all gliomas (p < 0.001). The NAA/Cho and NAA/H(2)O ratios can distinguish the normal brain from gliomas and low-grade from high-grade astrocytoma (p < 0.001). The concentration of taurine (Tau) in medulloblastomas was 29.64 +/- 5.76 mM. This is the first quantitative analysis of Tau in medulloblastoma in vivo and confirms earlier in vitro findings. 相似文献

Optical properties of ZnO thin films with/without MgO-buffer annealing were investigated by low and room temperature photoluminescence measurements. The ZnO films were grown on c-sapphire substrates by plasma-assisted molecular-beam epitaxy employing a thin MgO-buffer layer. Dislocation density of ZnO layer was reduced from 5.3 × 109 to 1.9 × 109 cm−2 by annealing MgO-buffer prior to the growth of ZnO. The intensity of free exciton emission from the sample with MgO-buffer annealing was almost twice of that from the sample without annealing, while the deep level emission from the sample with MgO-buffer annealing was about 1/3 of that without annealing. The MgO-buffer annealing improves optical quality of overgrown ZnO films. 相似文献

The formation of a deeply-bound K?? –? pp state by the 3He(in-flight K? –, n) reaction is investigated theoretically in a distorted-wave impulse approximation using the Green’s function method. The expected inclusive and semi-exclusive spectra at $p_{K^-} = 1.0$ GeV/c and $\theta_n = 0^{\circ}$ are calculated for the forthcoming J-PARC E15 experiment. We discuss these spectra with some K? –-“pp” optical potentials, taking into account the energy-dependence of the imaginary part of the potentials by a phase space suppression factor. 相似文献
