Structure of planar integral self‐affine tilings

For a self‐affine tile in $\mathbf {R}^2$ generated by an expanding matrix $A\in M_2(\mathbf {Z})$ and an integral consecutive collinear digit set ${\mathcal D}$, Leung and Lau [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 359 , 3337–3355 (2007).] provided a necessary and sufficient algebraic condition for it to be disklike. They also characterized the neighborhood structure of all disklike tiles in terms of the algebraic data A and ${\mathcal D}$. In this paper, we completely characterize the neighborhood structure of those non‐disklike tiles. While disklike tiles can only have either six or eight edge or vertex neighbors, non‐disklike tiles have much richer neighborhood structure. In particular, other than a finite set, a Cantor set, or a set containing a nontrivial continuum, neighbors can intersect in a union of a Cantor set and a countable set.     

Similarity classification of holomorphic curves

Let H be a complex separable Hilbert space. For Ω an open connected subset of C, we shall say that a map is a holomorphic curve, if there exist n holomorphic H-valued functions γ₁,γ₂,…,γn on Ω such that f(λ)=?{γ₁(λ),…,γn(λ)}, ∀λ∈Ω, where Gr(n,H) denotes the Grassmann manifold, the set of all n-dimensional subspaces of H.In the paper, we give a similarity classification of some holomorphic curves by using the K-group of its commutant algebra as an invariant.     

Existence of Periodic Solutions in Impulsive Differential Equations

In this paper, we are concerned with the problem of existence of periodic solutions for a class of second order impulsive differential equations. By Poincaré-Bohl theorem, we give several criteria to guarantee that the impulsive differential equation has periodic solutions under assumptions that the nonlinear term satisfies the linear growth conditions. Two specific examples are presented to illustrate the obtained results.     

The Weyl’s Theorem and Its Perturbations in Semisimple Banach Algebra

Denote a semisimple Banach algebra with an identity e by A.This paper studies the Fredholm,Weyl and Browder spectral theories in a semisimple Banach algebra,and meanwhile considers the properties of the Fredholm element,the Weyl element and the Browder element.Further,for a∈A,we give the Weyl's theorem and the Browder's theorem for a,and characterize necessary and sufficient conditions that both a and f(a) satisfy the Weyl's theorem or the Browder's theorem,where f is a complex-valued function analytic on a neighborhood of σ(a).In addition,the perturbations of the Weyl's theorem and the Browder's theorem are investigated.
