A series of dinuclear complexes, [Tp(R)M--M'L(n)] [Tp(iPr(2) )M--Co(CO)(4) (1; M=Ni, Co, Fe, Mn); Tp(#)M--Co(CO)(4) (1'; M=Ni, Co); Tp(#)Ni--RuCp(CO)(2) (3')] (Tp(iPr(2) )=hydrotris(3,5-diisopropylpyrazolyl)borato; Tp(#) (Tp(Me(2),4-Br))=hydrotris(3,5-dimethyl-4-bromopyrazolyl)borato), has been prepared by treatment of the cationic complexes [Tp(iPr(2) )M(NCMe)(3)]PF(6) or the halo complexes [Tp(#)M--X] with the appropriate metalates. Spectroscopic and crystallographic characterization of 1-3' reveals that the tetrahedral, high-spin Tp(R)M fragment and the coordinatively saturated carbonyl-metal fragment (M'L(n)) are connected only by a metal-metal interaction and, thus, the dinuclear complexes belong to a unique class of xenophilic complexes. The metal-metal interaction in the xenophilic complexes is polarized, as revealed by their nu(CO) vibrations and structural features, which fall between those of reference complexes: covalently bonded species [R--M'L(n)] and ionic species [M'L(n)](-). Unrestricted DFT calculations for the model complexes [Tp(H(2) )Ni--Co(CO)(4)], [Tp(H(2) )Ni--Co(CO)(3)(PH(3))], and [Tp(H(2) )Ni--RuCp(CO)(2)] prove that the two metal centers are held together not by covalent interactions, but by electrostatic attractions. In other words, the obtained xenophilic complexes can be regarded as carbonylmetalates, in which the cationic counterpart interacts with the metal center rather than the oxygen atom of the carbonyl ligand. The xenophilic complexes show divergent reactivity dependent on the properties of donor molecules. Hard (N and O donors) and soft donors (P and C donors) attack the Tp(R)M part and the ML(n) moiety, respectively. The selectivity has been interpreted in terms of the hard-soft theory, and the reactions of the high-spin species 1-3' with singlet donor molecules should involve a spin-crossover process.  相似文献

Ab initio molecular orbital calculations have been performed to investigate the structures and quantum effects of the proton motion in NH(3):HCl:(H(2)O)(n) (n = 0-3) clusters using a MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ level of theory. Three new stable structures and one transition-state structure are investigated for these clusters. The detailed analyses of the intermolecular interactions suggest that three-body interactions play an important role to determine the relative stability in each size of cluster. The quantum effects of the proton motion result in frequency shifts for proton-stretching modes. Our one-dimensional and two-dimensional models fairly closely reproduce the experimental proton-stretching vibrational frequency of the NH(3):HCl cluster. The most stable isomer for n = 1 has a proton-transfer structure, which is weakened by the quantum effects of the proton motion.  相似文献

Topics concerning the cationic ring‐opening polymerization of cyclic imino ethers and functional material production based on the resulting polymers are reviewed. Cyclic imino ethers are readily subjected to isomerization polymerization via cationic initiators. Mechanistic studies have provided a new concept, electrophilic polymerization. Double isomerization polymerization and no‐catalyst alternating copolymerization are interesting examples that show characteristics of the ring opening of cyclic imino ethers. The living polymerization of these monomers affords precisely controlled polymeric materials. Through the use of the unique properties of the product polymers, various functional polymeric materials, such as polymeric nonionic surfactants, compatibilizers, hydrogels, stabilizers for dispersion polymerization, biocatalyst modifiers, and supramolecular assemblies, have been developed. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Many researchers have stated that eugenol might inhibit lipid peroxidation at the stage of initiation, propagation, or both, and many attempts have been made to elucidate the mechanism of its antioxidant activity. Nevertheless, details of its mechanism are still obscure. This study was carried out to investigate the trapping effect of eugenol on hydroxyl radical generated from L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) in MiliQ water and the generation mechanism of the hydroxyl radical by this system which uses no metallic factor. This was studied by adding L-DOPA and 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline N-oxide (DMPO) to phosphate buffered saline (PBS) or MiliQ water, and the generation of hydroxyl radical was detected on an ESR spectrum. By this method, the effect of antioxidants was detected as a modification of ESR spectra. We found that the eugenol trapped hydroxyl radicals directly, because it had no iron chelating action, did not trap L-DOPA semiquinone radical and inhibited hydroxyl radicals with or without iron ion.  相似文献

[Reaction: see text]. The synthesis of neuropeptide Y antagonist 1, currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of obesity, is described. The convergent synthesis from trans-spirolactone carboxylic acid intermediate 2a and aminopyrazole 3 is predicated on a stereoselective route to the former. The coupling reaction of ethyl 4-oxocyclohexanecarboxylate (10a) with lithiated isonicotinamide 11 was investigated in detail, but even optimized conditions only provided a 45:55 ratio of trans:cis isomers (12a:12b). While selective crystallization schemes were developed to isolate the thermodynamically less stable trans isomer 2a, improved stereocontrol was subsequentially achieved by the application of ketene chemistry. The ketene formation and quench was investigated under a variety of conditions aimed at maximizing the trans:cis ratio. Reacting a mixture of carboxylic acids 2a and 2b with POCl3 in THF, followed by concomitant addition of tert-butyl alcohol in the presence of TMEDA at 35 degrees C provided a 4:1 ratio of trans:cis tert-butyl esters (18a:18b) via in situ ketene formation. Ester hydrolysis, followed by selective crystallization of undesired 2b as the HCl salt, led to isolation of 2a in 47% overall yield. Aminopyrazole intermediate 3 was synthesized via the condensation reaction of 2-fluorophenylhydrazine hydrochloride (4a) with acrylonitrile derivative 5 in 65-70% yield. Coupling of advanced intermediates 2a and 3b via activation with thionyl chloride gave a 92% yield of 1.  相似文献

Packed column capillary electrochromatography (CEC), open-tubular CEC and microcolum liquid chromatography (LC) using a cholesteryl silica bonded phase have been studied to compare the retention behavior for benzodiazepines. It has been found that packed column CEC gives better resolution, faster analysis time than microcolumn LC for benzodiazepines maintaining similar selectivity except for some solutes which are charged species under the separation conditions. However, open-tubular CEC gave different selectivities to a larger extent for charged benzodiazepines from that which should be produced by the chromatographic properties of the cholesteryl silica phase. Charged species migration times are mainly influenced by electrophoretic mobility rather than the chromatographic interactions.  相似文献

The sandwich-shaped heterotopic trinuclear Ag+ complex Ag(3)1.2 was exclusively formed from two different tris(thiazolyl) and hexa(thiazolyl) disk-shaped ligands, 1 and 2, with the aid of three Ag+ ions. The variable-temperature 1H NMR study on its complexation behavior revealed that metal-ligand exchanges between the two neighboring thiazolyl nitrogen donors of 2 take place at the three Ag+ centers in concert. DeltaH++ and DeltaS++ for the exchange process were calculated to be 50.5 kJ mol(-1) and -26.7 J mol(-1) K(-1), respectively, and its energy barrier at 298 K was estimated to be 58.5 kJ mol(-1). Each concerted metal-ligand exchange leads to an intramolecular 60 degrees-rotational motion ((P) <==>(M) conversion) between the two disk-shaped ligands.  相似文献

Charge-discharge capacity and cyclicity of lithium ion battery (LIB) was evaluated in which 15Li2O·10Fe2O3·xSnO2·5P2O5·(70–x)V2O5 glass (x?=?0 and 20 in mol%, abbreviated as xLFSPV) was used as a cathode. A local structure of xLFSPV glass before and after charging was investigated by 57Fe- and 119Sn-Mössbauer spectroscopies. 57Fe-Mössbauer spectrum of xLFSPV glass with ‘x’ of 20 was composed of a doublet with isomer shift (δ) of 0.35±0.02 mm s???1 and quadrupole splitting (Δ) of 0.88±0.03 mm s???1 due to distorted FeIIIO4 tetrahedra. 119Sn-Mössbauer spectrum of this glass consisted of a doublet with δ of 0.08±0.01 and Δ of 0.52±0.01 mms???1 due to distorted SnVIO6 octahedra. After discharging the battery from 4.5 to 1.0 V, larger δ of 0.40±0.03 mm s???1 and Δ of 0.94±0.04 mm s???1 were obtained, indicating that both iconicity of Fe-O bonds and local distortion of FeIIIO4 tetrahedra were increased. On the contrary, identical δ of 0.09±0.01 mm s???1 and Δ of 0.50±0.01 mm s???1 were observed in the 119Sn-Mössbauer spectrum of 20LFSPV glass after the discharge, indicating that chemical environment of SnIVO6 octahedra was not affected after the discharge. Charge-discharge curve of LIB containing 20LFSPV glass as a cathode active material recorded under the current density of 8.3 mA g???1 (0.011 mA cm???2) between 1.0 and 4.5 V showed a large initial charge capacity of 431.1 mAh g???1 and discharge capacity of 382.3 mAh g???1, respectively. These results indicate that 20LFSPV glass could be a new cathode active material for LIB.  相似文献
