This paper reports on the 1H(28Ne,28Ne) and 1H(28Ne,27Ne)
reactions studied at intermediate energy using a liquid hydrogen target. From
the cross section populating the first 2+ excited state of 28Ne, and using the previously
determined B(E2) value, the neutron quadrupole transition matrix element has been
calculated to be Mn=13.8 ±3.7 fm2.
In the neutron knock-out reaction, two low-lying excited states were populated in 27Ne.
Only one of them can be interpreted by the sd shell model while the additional state
may intrude from the fp shell. These experimental observations
are consistent with the presence of fp shell configurations at low excitation energy
in 27,28Ne nuclei caused by a vanishing N=20 shell gap at Z=10. 相似文献

The longitudinal momentum transferred to a target nucleus (ΔP) has been studied for light-particle emission in the 14N-induced reaction on 232Th at 208 MeV. The transferred momentum was deduced by measuring folding angles between two fission fragments resulting from the sequential decay of the target-like nucleus. It was found that the fraction averaged over light-particle energy was about 0.68, almost independent of light-particle species and detection angle, where Pbeam is the initial momentum of the beam particle and Pout∥, the momentum component parallel to the beam carried away by the observed light particle. A possible mechanism for describing the phenomena is discussed. 相似文献

The neutron-rich oxygen isotope 23O has been investigated via proton inelastic scattering on a liquid hydrogen target at 63.5 MeV/nucleon. The invariant mass method in inverse kinematics was employed to reconstruct the energy spectrum. A sharp resonance state was observed at 42(5) keV above the neutron threshold. A comparison of the differential cross section leading to this state with a microscopic DWBA calculation allowed a J π assignment of 5/2+ for this state. 相似文献

Nonequilibrium light-particle emissions have been investigated in the reaction 93Nb + 14N at 132, 159 and 208 MeV by measuring inclusive differential cross sections of p, d, t, 3He and α. The experimental data were analyzed in terms of three models: (i) an extended exciton model, (ii) a coalescence model, and (iii) a moving thermal source model. The angle-integrated energy spectra of the protons were well described by the extended exciton model in which projectile nucleons were assumed to be transferred to the target one by one, but those of composite particles were not. On the other hand, the composite particle spectra (except for α at forward angles) were successfully described by the coalescence model using spectra consistent with those for the protons. Extracted coalescence radii P0 were about 140 MeV/c for d and t, and about 220 MeV/c for α. The light-particle spectra were also fitted by the moving-source model assuming isotropic emission from a source moving with approximately half of the beam velocity and with much higher temperature than that of the compound nucleus. Extracted temperatures followed the systematics of a recent compilation for the various reactions. A discussion of these analyses is given. 相似文献

A new on-line isotope separator was constructed and used successfully for the study on short-lived isotopes at the Bevalac
at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. The isotopes were produced through projectile fragmentation processes of high energy heavy-ion
reactions. Various isotopes were rigidity-separated by use of a beam line and, finally, the desired single isotope was range

Space-resolved emission spectroscopy was used to study the evolution of 13.5 nm line intensity and electron temperature of the plasma generated by laser ablation of lithium target. Two-proton relative momentum distributions from the break-up channels 23Al→p+p+21Na and 22Mg→p+p+20Ne at an energy of 60–70 A MeV have been measured together with two-proton opening angles at the projectile fragment separator beamline (RIPS) in the RIKEN Ring Cyclotron Facility. The neutron-rich carbon isotopes 19,17C have been investigated via proton inelastic scattering on a liquid hydrogen target at 70 MeV/nucleon. The invariant mass method in inverse kinematics was employed to reconstruct the energy spectrum, in which fast neutrons and charged fragments were detected in coincidence using a neutron hodoscope and a dipole magnet system. A peak has been observed with an excitation energy of 1.46(10) MeV in 19C, while three peaks with energies of 2.20(3), 3.05(3), and 6.13(9) MeV have been observed in 17C. Deduced cross sections are compared with microscopic DWBA calculations based on p-sd shell model wave functions and modern nucleon–nucleus optical potentials. Jπ assignments are made for the four observed states as well as the ground states of both nuclei. 相似文献
