A grapevine nanostructure based on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) covalently functionalized with [60]fullerene (C60) has been synthesized and characterized in detail. Investigations into the ball-on-tube carbon nanostructure by ESR spectroscopy indicate a tendency for ground-state electron transfer from the SWNT to the C60 moieties. The cyclic-voltammetric response of the nanostructure film exhibits reversible multiple-step electrochemical reactions of the dispersed C60, which are strikingly similar to those of the C60 derivatives in solution, but with consistent negative shifts in the redox potential. This results from the covalent linkage of C60 to the surfaces of the SWNTs in the form of monomers and manifests the electronic interaction between the C60 and SWNT moieties. 相似文献

Protein adsorption on poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and oligo(ethylene oxide) (OEO) monolayers is studied at different packing densities using the Langmuir technique. In the case of a PEO monolayer, a protein adsorption minimum is revealed at sigma(-1) = 10 nm(2) for both lysozyme and fibrinogen. Manifested are two packing density regimes of steric repulsion and compressive attraction between PEO and a protein on top of the overall attraction of the protein to the air/water interface. The observed protein adsorption minimum coincides with the maximum of the surface segment density at sigma(-1) = 10 nm(2). However, OEO monolayer presents a different scenario, namely that the amount of protein adsorbed decreases monotonically with increasing packing density, indicating that the OEO chains merely act as a steric barrier to protein adsorption onto the air/water interface. Besides, in the adsorption of fibrinogen, three distinct kinetic regimes controlled by diffusion, penetration and rearrangement are recognized, whereas only the latter two were made out in the adsorption of lysozyme. 相似文献

Surface‐enhanced Raman scattering of p‐aminothiophenol and p‐nitrothiophenol were obtained on the surface of Cu2O nanoparticles, showing novel spectral changes with morphology‐dependent and time‐dependent characteristics. The measured Raman signals were believed to partly originate from the newly produced surface species p,p′‐dimercaptoazobenzene. The nature of surface chemisorption status during Raman measurement was investigated experimentally and theoretically via combined surface‐enhanced Raman scattering and density functional theory study, indicating that surface catalytic reaction of p‐aminothiophenol and p‐nitrothiophenol could take place on the surface of oxide nanostructures as well as coinage metal material. This work identifies the dithiafulvenyl unit as an excellent electron donor for constructing D-π-A-type metal-free organic sensitizers of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Synthesized and tested are three sensitizers all with this donor and a cyanoacrylic acid acceptor but differing in the phenyl (DTF-C1), biphenyl (DTF-C2), and phenyl-thiopheneyl-phenyl π-bridges (DTF-C3). Devices based on these dyes exhibit a dramatically improved performance with the increasing π-bridge length, culminating with DTF-C3 in η = 8.29% under standard global AM 1.5 illumination. 相似文献

The tributylphosphane-promoted [3 + 2] annulation reactions of 3-hydroxyoxindoles with acrylates have been developed to give a variety of pharmaceutically attractive spirocyclic oxindole-lactone derivatives in good to excellent yields. The structures of all the compounds were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS.
