The transient response of a central crack in an orthotropic strip under the in-plane shear impact loading is studied by using the dual integral equation method proposed by Copson and Sih. The general formula for the shear stress intensity factor near the crack tip is derived. Numerical results of with in various cases are obtained by solving the second kind Fredholm integral equation and by performing the inverse Laplace transform.  相似文献

It is well known in the theory of elastic shells that a first order approximation using the shell thickness as an expansion parameter leads to the membrane theory of shells. The membrane equations have as solutions thegeneralized analytic functions. These functions have been exhaustively studied by Ilya N. Vekua [6], [7] and his students. R.P. Gilbert and J. Hile [3] introduced an extension of these systems to include elliptic systems of 2n equations in the plane and named the solutions of these systemsgeneralized hyperanalytic functions.It is shown in this paper that the next order approximation to the shell, which permits, moreover, the introduction of bending, may be described in terms of the generalized hyperanalytic functions. It is strongly suspected that the higher order approximations may also be described in terms of corresponding hypercomplex systems.  相似文献

The influence of gas type (helium and argon) and bed temperature (77-473 K) on the fluidization behaviour of Geldart groups C and A particles was investigated. For both types of particles tested, i.e., Al2O3 (4.8 μm) and glass beads (39 μm), the fluidization quality in different gases shows the following priority sequence: Ar>He. In the same gaseous atmosphere, the particles when fluidized at an elevated temperature usually show larger bed voidages, higher bed pressure drops, and a lower umf for the group A powder, all indicating an enhancement in fluidization quality. Possible mechanisms governing the operations of gas type and temperature in influencing the fluidization behaviours of fine particles have been discussed with respect to the changes in both gas properties and interparticle forces (on the basis of the London-van der Waals theory). Gas viscosity (varying significantly with gas-type and temperature) proves to be the key parameter that influences the bed pressure drops and umf in fluidization of fine particles, while the interparticle forces (also varying with gas-type and temperature) may play an important role in fine-particle fluidization by affecting the expansion behaviour of the particle-bed.  相似文献

A new configuration for compression-shear soft-recovery experiments is presented. This technique is used to investigate various failure mechanisms during dynamic multiaxial loading of an Al2O3/SiC nanocomposite and TiB2. Velocity profiles of the target surface are measured with a variable sensitivity displacement interferometer, yielding normal and transverse velocity-time histories. A dynamic shear stress of approximately 280 MPa is obtained, in the Al2O3/SiC nanocomposite, for an imposed axial stress of about 3.45 GPa on a 540 m thick sample. This dynamic shear stress is well below the value predicted by elastic wave propagation theory. This could be the result of stress-induced damage and inelasticity in the bulk of the sample or inelasticity on the sample surface due to frictional sliding. To gain further insight into the possible failure mechanisms, an investigation of compression-shear recovery techniques, with simultaneous trapping of longitudinal and lateral release waves, is conducted.  相似文献

Velocity measurements were made in two jet flows, the first exiting from a smooth contraction nozzle and the second from a long pipe with a fully developed pipe flow profile. The Reynolds number, based on nozzle diameter and exit bulk velocity, was the same (䏪,000) in each flow. The smooth contraction jet flow developed much more rapidly and approached self-preservation more rapidly than the pipe jet. These differences were associated with differences in the turbulence structure in both the near and far fields between the two jets. Throughout the shear layer for x<3d, the peak in the v spectrum occurred at a lower frequency in the pipe jet than in the contraction jet. For x́d, the peaks in the two jets appeared to be nearly at the same frequency. In the pipe jet, the near-field distributions of f(r) and g(r), the longitudinal and transverse velocity correlation functions, differed significantly from the contraction jet. The integral length scale Lu was greater in the pipe jet, whereas Lv was smaller. In the far field, the distributions of f(r) and g(r) were nearly similar in the two flows. The larger initial shear layer thickness of the pipe jet produced a dimensionally lower frequency instability, resulting in longer wavelength structures, which developed and paired at larger downstream distances. The regular vortex formation and pairing were disrupted in the shear layer of the pipe jet. The streamwise vortices, which enhance entrainment and turbulent mixing, were absent in the shear layer of the pipe jet. The formation of large-scale structures should occur much farther downstream in the pipe jet than in the contraction jet.  相似文献

In the present work, successive self-nucleation and annealing (SSA) was applied to a series of tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene random copolymers (FEPs). Multiple melting peaks were observed for all FEP samples after SSA thermal treatment. The lamellar crystal thicknesses were calculated from the melting temperatures, and the mass percentages of the crystals of specific thickness were obtained from the areas of the melting peaks. As a result, distributions of the lamellar thickness, which can be correlated to the composition distribution, were determined. It was found that the composition distribution of the FEP samples tended to become more heterogeneous as the content of hexafluoropropylene (HFP) comonomer increases. Samples with the same HFP content might also have different composition distributions.  相似文献

Abstract

The ion conduction of a blend of poly(oxyethylene) (PEO) and lithium methoxy oligo(oxyethylene) sulfate (SAL8) and its electrochemical characteristics were studied. The maximum ambient conductivity of the blend reaches 1.2 × 10?6 S/cm. The blend exhibits single-ion conduction, excellent mechanical performance, and electrochemical stability. A battery of Li/PEO + SAL8/Li1+xV3O8 has a constant discharge capacity at different discharge current densities up to a certain voltage, while the discharge capacity of Li/P (MEO16-AM) + LiClO4/Li1+xV3O8 decreases with an increase of the discharge current density.  相似文献
