This paper addresses an important class of disjunctive programs called facial disjunctive programs, examples of which include the zero-one linear integer programming problem and the linear complementarity problem. Balas has characterized some fundamental properties of such problems, one of which has been used by Jeroslow to obtain a finitely convergent procedure. This paper exploits another basic property of facial disjunctive programs in order to develop an alternative finitely convergent algorithm.  相似文献

A finite algorithm is presented in this study for solving Bilinear programs. This is accomplished by developing a suitable cutting plane which deletes at least a face of a polyhedral set. At an extreme point, a polar cut using negative edge extensions is used. At other points, disjunctive cuts are adopted. The reagent 2-mercaptobenzothiazole /2-HMBT/ has been used for the solvent extraction of Ru/III/. The extraction coefficient value of Ru/III/ has been evaluated, based on various parameters such as, effect of molarity of the acid, time of equilibration, time of heating, effect of various solvents and effect of various salts. The stoichiometry of the metal to reagent was determined by the method of substoichiometric extraction of slope-ratio method and was found to be 13. Separation factor and decontamination factor for various elements have also been studied.  相似文献

A new, sensitive, stability indicating gradient RP-LC related substances and assay method has been developed for the quantitative determination of entacapone in bulk drugs. Efficient chromatographic separation was achieved on a C18 stationary phase with simple mobile phase combination of buffer and acetonitrile. Buffer consisted of 0.1% orthophosphoric acid, delivered in a gradient mode and quantitation was carried out using ultraviolet detection at 220 nm with a flow rate of 1.5 mL min?1. In the developed LC method the resolution (R s ) between entacapone and its three potential process impurities were found to be >2.0. Regression analysis showed an r 2 value (correlation coefficient) >0.99 for entacapone and its three potential impurities. This method was capable to detect all three process impurities of entacapone at a level of 0.003% with respect to test concentration of 0.5 mg mL?1 for a 20 μL injection volume. The inter- and intra-day precision values for all three impurities and for entacapone was found to be within 2.0% RSD. The method has shown good and consistent recoveries for entacapone in bulk drugs (99.2–101.5%) and its three impurities (99.5–102.2%). The test solution was found to be stable in diluent for 48 h. The drug substances were subjected to stress conditions of hydrolysis, oxidation, photolysis and thermal degradation. Considerable degradation was found to occur in acid stress, base stress and oxidative conditions. The stressed test solutions were assayed against the qualified working standard of entacapone and the mass balance in each case was close to 99.7% indicating that the developed method was stability-indicating. The developed RP-LC method was validated with respect to linearity, accuracy, precision and robustness.  相似文献

Developing a material that can combat antibiotic‐resistant bacteria, a major global health threat, is an urgent requirement. To tackle this challenge, we synthesized a multifunctional subphthalocyanine (SubPc) polymer nanosphere that has the ability to target, label, and photoinactivate antibiotic‐resistant bacteria in a single treatment with more than 99 % efficiency, even with a dose as low as 4.2 J cm−2 and a loading concentration of 10 nM . The positively charged nanosphere shell composed of covalently linked SubPc units can increase the local concentration of photosensitizers at therapeutic sites. The nanosphere shows superior performance compared to corresponding monomers presumably because of their enhanced water dispersibility, higher efficiency of singlet‐oxygen generation, and phototoxicity. In addition, this material is useful in fluorescence labeling of living cells and shows promise in photoacoustic imaging of bacteria in vivo.  相似文献

Abstract

We have developed an economical and efficient method for the synthesis of medicinally and synthetically important indole-based triarylmethanes by using indoles and benzhydrols in the presence of propylphosphonic anhydride (T3P®). This methodology is an alternate approach for the C–C bond formation with good to excellent yields. In this T3P-mediated dehydration approach, the by-product is highly soluble in water, so that it can be done at larger scale also. In addition to that this efficient protocol has several advantages such as mild reaction conditions, short reaction time and operational simplicity. We have successfully synthesized pyrrole, imidazothiadiazole and imidazolo pyridine based triarylmethanes also.  相似文献

Glycine max was used as a model plant cell suspension culture to establish relationships among growth kinetics, phenolics production, elicitor action, and peroxidase activity. Timing of elictor addition through monitoring of peroxidase provided an excellent means of optimizing yields of phenolics and reduced the time span during which phenolics were formed, negating the need for a secondary production medium. We have also determined that calcium and other cellular effectors like polyamines and organic osmolytes, when used in conjunction with elicitors, enhance phenolics production. Calcium directly enhanced elicitation, whereas polyamines and other osmolytes such as glycerol and proline extended cell viability. The study also demonstrated potential for enhancing secondary metabolite production by a combination of elicitation, cell viability stabilizers, and by addition of nutrients at the time of elicitation.  相似文献
