Synthesis of a Hematoside Analog Containing Phytosphingosine and α-Hydroxyfatty Acid

Abstract

The hematoside analog 1 [NeuGcα(2→3)Galβ(1→4)Glcβ(1→1)Cer], which contains a phytosphingosine as a sphingoid base and an α-hydroxyfatty acid, has been synthesized. Coupling of the methyl (methyl 5-benzyloxyacetamido-4,7,8,9-tetra-O-acetyl-3,5-dideoxy-2-thio-D-glycero-α- and -β-D-galacto-2-nonulopyranosid)onate 5, prepared from the corresponding 5-acetamido derivative 2, with a lactose derivative 6 afforded sialolactoside 7, which was converted to the corresponding trichloroacetimidate 10. Glycosylation of 10 with the ceramide tribenzoate 12 gave the protected hematoside analog 13, which was deprotected to the hematoside analog 1.     

Polymeric ytterbium(ii) complex with pyridyl amido ligands

The reaction of potassium pyridyl amido ligand {L = [N(R)(2-C5H3N-6-Me)]–, R = CH2But} with YbI2(thf)2 afforded the linear polymeric complex [K0.5(L)3YbiiK0.5]n, which was characterized by X-ray structure analysis.     

Scope and regioselectivity of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azides with methyl 2-perfluoroalkynoates for an easy,metal-free route to perfluoroalkylated 1,2,3-triazoles

1,3-Dipolar cycloadditions of methyl 2-perfluoroalkynoates with various azides have been examined, leading to a simple metal-free synthetic protocol for the synthesis of perfluoroalkylated 1,2,3-triazoles. The regiochemical results demonstrated that the cycloaddition was controlled by FMO (the frontier molecular obitals) interaction and steric hindrance in transition states.     

Polymer electrolyte membranes based on polystyrenes with phosphonic acid via long alkyl side chains

A series of polystyrenes with phosphonic acid ( 5 ) via long alkyl side chains (4, 6, and 8 methylene units) were prepared by the radical polymerization of the corresponding diethyl ω‐(4‐vinylphenoxy)alkylphosphonates, followed by the hydrolysis with trimethylsilyl bromide. The resulting phosphonated polystyrene membranes had a high oxidative stability against Fenton's reagent at room temperature. The membranes prepared from 5 exhibited a very low water uptake, similar to that of Nafion 117 over the wide range of 30 to 80% relative humidity (RH). The proton conductivities of these membranes are lower than that of Nafion 117 in the range of 30 to 90% RH, but comparable or higher than those of the reported phosphonated polymers with higher IEC values, such as the phosphonated poly(N‐phenylacrylamide) (PDPAA, IEC: 6.72 mequiv/g) and fluorinated polymers with pendant phosphonic acids (M47, IEC: 8.5 mequiv/g), at low RH conditions despite the much lower IEC values (3.0–3.8 mequiv/g) of these membranes. These results suggest that the flexible pendant side chains of 5 would contribute to the formation of hydrogen‐bonding networks by considering the very low water uptake of these polymers. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 镓一镁二元相图研究

本文用两种差热分析方法即“一步法”和“二步法”以及多晶X-射线衍射法对镓-镁二元系相图进行了研究.修正了前人的工作. 为了考察该二元体系的金属间化合物是否以镓原子多面体簇状结构存在,作者对富镓部分相图(镓原子百分含量大于71.4％)进行了较为细致的研究.在三种不同比例下(含镓量分别为85at.％、90at.％、95at.％)合成,分离得到了颗粒状晶体.对这些晶体进行了差热分析和多晶X-射线研究.分析结果表明:从这三种不同比例的合金中分离得到的晶体为同一金属间化合物Mg_2Ga_5,也是该二元系镓含量最高的金属间化合物.考察Ga-Mg体系中存在的五种金属间化合物的结构,未能发现镓原子以多面体簇状结构存在的现象.

Study on application of independent component analysis in the CSNS/RCS

The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) accelerators consist of a low energy H linac and a high energy proton Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RCS). The proton beam is accumulated in the RCS and accelerated from 80MeV to 1.6GeV with a repetition of 25Hz. Independent component analysis (ICA) is a robust method for processing the collected data (samples) recorded by the turn-by-turn beam position monitor (BPM), which was recently applied to the accelerator. The samples are decomposed to source signals, or the so-called independent components, which correspond to the inherent motion of samples, such as betatron motion and synchrotron motion. A study on the application of the ICA method to CSNS/RCS has been made. It shows that the beta function, phase advance, and dispersion can be well reconstructed by using ICA in CSNS/RCS. The effects of BPM errors on the ICA results are also studied. By comparing the different solving methods in ICA, the so-called SOBI has more advantages for isolating the independent components on the application of ICA to CSNS/RCS. Beam emittance dilution in the process of exciting the turn-by-turn samples is considered,and thus an RF kicker is adopted to avoid such emittance growth.
