A computational analysis has been performed on mixed convection in a double sided lid-driven cavity in the presence of volumetric heat generation or absorption. Effects of inclined magnetic field are also studied. The governing parameters are solved via Galerkin weighted residual finite element method in space and the Crank–Nicolson in time. Governing parameters are nanoparticle volume fraction (0.0?≤???≤?0.04), Richardson number (0.01?≤?Ri?≤?10), internal heat generation or absorption parameter inclination angle of magnetic field (0°?≤?γ?≤?90°) and Hartmann number (0?≤?Ha?≤?100). It is observed that the highest heat transfer is obtained in case of the maximum value of heat absorption. As a further finding, heat transfer decreases with increasing of Hartmann number and increases with increasing of nanoparticle volume fraction. 相似文献

Presence of external electrical field plays a vital role in heat transfer and fluid flow phenomena. Keeping this in view present article is a numerical investigation of stagnation point flow of water based nanoparticles suspended fluid under the influence of induced magnetic field. A detailed comparative analysis has been performed by considering Copper and Titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Utilization of similarity analysis leads to a simplified system of coupled nonlinear differential equations, which has been tackled numerically by means of shooting technique followed by Runge-Kutta of order 5. The solutions are computed correct up to 6 decimal places. Influence of pertinent parameters is examined for fluid flow, induced magnetic field, and temperature profile. One of the key findings includes that magnetic parameter plays a vital role in directing fluid flow and lowering temperature profile. The present work aims to investigate transverse Oldroyd-B nanofluid flow on a stretched panel with consideration of internal heat generation. Buongiorno model is utilized to study influence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects. A numerical procedure known as Keller box algorithm is used to solve the governed physical model. Graphically velocity, temperature and concentration of nanoparticles are expressed. Also, concerned physical measures such as heat and mass transfer are investigated numerically. The simulations performed revealed that fluid parameters play a significant role in heat transfer under Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects. Local heat flux is elevated while local mass flux is suppressed with enhancing Brownian motion parameter. Streamlines pattern exhibits that flow is more inclined in the presence of Deborah number effects. To the best of our knowledge, transverse flow of an Oldroyd-B type fluid which incorporates the thermal relaxation effects has never been reported before in the presence of Brownian motion and internal heating phenomenon. Therefore we intend to discuss these features in detail. The obtained results are a novel contribution, which can be benchmark for further relevant academic research related to polymer industry. 相似文献

Perylene diimide (PDI) and naphthalene diimides (NDIs) are compounds widely used in supramolecular structures due to their versatile and functional properties. They have high absorptions and photoluminescence capabilities, which make them ideal for electronic transition studies. Reflux method, a widely employed synthetic technique, was utilized to synthesize NDI and PDI derivatives. In this method, the respective amino acids and NTDA (naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylic dianhydride) were combined in acetic acid and the resulting mixture was subjected to reflux. This study centered on a diverse set of NDI and PDI ligands, comprising L-ala-NDI, B-ala-NDI, Gly-NDI, Imi-NDI, Pyr-NDI, L-ala-PDI, B-ala-PDI, Gly-PDI, Imi-PDI, and Pyr-PDI ligands. Crystal structures were obtained for three NDI ligands, while the characterization of all ligands involved several analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, UV, DFT, TD-DFT calculations, and single-crystal x-ray crystallography specifically for the NDI ligands. The investigation focused on studying the electron acceptor/donor behavior of the NDI and PDI ligands, identifying their potential for charge transfer applications. Furthermore, the NLO (nonlinear optical) response of all 10 NDI and PDI ligands was assessed through an analysis involving HOMO-LUMO, TDM, EDDM, NCI, Iso-surface, MEP, natural population, and DOS analysis. This evaluation encompassed the examination of linear polarizability, as well as first and second hyperpolarizability in the context of NLO. The findings of the study revealed that Gly-PDI, Imi-PDI, L-ala-PDI, and B-ala-PDI ligands displayed a higher NLO response compared with the other ligands. These results highlight the potential of these ligands for nonlinear optical applications. The comprehensive characterization and assessment of the NDI and PDI ligands contribute to a deeper understanding of their electron properties, positioning them as promising candidates for charge transfer and nonlinear optical materials. 相似文献

A sensitive and accurate method was developed and validated for simultaneous analysis of perfluoroalkyl carboxylic acids, sulfonic acids, and phosphonic acids (PFPAs) at low picograms per gram concentrations in a variety of food matrices. The method employed extraction with acetonitrile/water and cleanup on a mixed-mode co-polymeric sorbent (C8?+?quaternary amine) using solid-phase extraction. High-performance liquid chromatographic separation was achieved on a C18 column using a mobile phase gradient containing 5?mM 1-methyl piperidine for optimal chromatographic resolution of PFPAs. A quadrupole time-of-flight high-resolution mass spectrometer operating in negative ion mode was used as detector. Method detection limits were in the range of 0.002 to 0.02?ng?g?1 for all analytes. Sample preparation (extraction and cleanup) recoveries at a spiking level of 0.1?ng?g?1 to a baby food composite were in the range of 59 to 98?%. A strong matrix effect was observed in the analysis of PFPAs in food extracts, which was tentatively assigned to sorption of PFPAs to the injection vial in the solvent-based calibration standard. Large-scale orthorhombic single-crystalline molybdenum trioxide nanowires were synthesized using a facile one-pot hydrothermal method. Lactate oxidase enzyme was immobilized on the nanowires to produce a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor for l-lactate detection. At an applied potential of 0.5 V, the sensor exhibited a high sensitivity of 0.87 μA/mM with a fast response to l-lactate (90% of response times within 10 s). A linear response was obtained over a concentration range from 0.5 to 8 mM with a detection limit of 0.15 mM (S/N?=?3). Powder samples of UHMWPE (GUR 1020) containing 0.1% by wt. vitamin E (??-tocopherol, ??-T) were irradiated at room temperature in air for doses of 30-kGy, 65-kGy or 100-kGy (60Co). After irradiation, they were stored at ?78.5°C (dry ice temperature) for one year and then opened to air at room temperature. Following the decay of the primary alkyl and allyl radicals (at room temperature in air), growth of the carbon-centered polyenyl R1 (?·CH?CH=CH?, m ?? 3), and the oxygen-centered dior tri-enyl R2 (?·OCH?CH=CH? m , m ?? 3) residual radicals were measured for eight weeks. An X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrometer was used for radical measurements. The initial relative radical concentrations (R2/R1) were found to be 10.13, 4.6 and 3.7 for the 65-kGy, 30-kGy and 100-kGy samples, respectively. R1 and R2 were both found to grow significantly in the 65-kGy samples while they grew only slightly in the 30-kGy and 100-kGy samples. In 65-kGy sample, R1 grew faster than R2 and the relative concentration R2/R1 was reduced from 10.13 to 2.9 for the 65-kGy sample while that for the 30-kGy and 100-kGy samples reduced only slightly, from 4.6 to 3.5 and 3.7 to 3.2, respectively. The behavior of the residual radicals can be explained by Raman spectroscopic data which suggest that the 65-kGy samples had a higher percentage of amorphous regions when compared to the 30-kGy or 100-kGy (21.7% compared to 15.7% or 17.9%) and also suggest a lower percentage of inter-phase regions (16.4% compared to 25.6% or 17.5%) and a lower level of structural disorder (0.26% compared to 0.44% or 0.27%). 相似文献

We report the first synthesis of a fused germaindacenodithiophene monomer and its polymerisation with 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole by Suzuki polycondensation. The resulting polymer, PGeTPTBT, is semicrystalline, despite the presence of four bulky 2-ethylhexyl groups. Blends with P(70)CBM afford solar cells with efficiencies of 5.02%. 相似文献
