Zirconium aluminium oxynitride multiphase composite film is deposited on zirconium substrate using energetic nitrogen ions delivered from dense plasma Focus device. X-ray diffractometer (XRD) results show that five Focus shots are sufficient to initiate the nucleation of ZrN and Al2O3 whereas 10 Focus shots are sufficient to initiate the nucleation of AlN. XRD results reveal that crystal growth of nitrides/oxides increases by increasing Focus shots (up to 30 Focus shots) and resputtering of the previously deposited film is taken place by further increase in Focus shots (40 Focus shots). Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) results indicate the uniform distribution of spherical grains (∼35 nm). A smoother surface is observed for 20 Focus shots at 0° angular position. SEM results also show a net-type microstructure (thread like features) of the sample treated for 30 Focus shots whereas rough surface morphology is observed for 40 Focus shots. Energy dispersive spectroscopic profiles show the distribution of different elements present in the deposited composite films. A typical microhardness value of the deposited composite films is 5255 ± 10 MPa for 10 grams imposed load which is 3.3 times than the microhardness values of unexposed sample. The microhardness values of the exposed samples increases with increasing Focus shots (up to 30 Focus shots) and decreases for 40 Focus shots treatment due to resputtering of the previously deposited composite film. The microhardness values of the composite films decreases by increasing the sample's angular position. 相似文献

Diamond-like carbon films containing Ag and Cu in nanocrystalline form were deposited onto SnO2-coated glass substrates by electrochemical technique. Relative amount of silver and copper to be incorporated in the DLC matrix was tailored by varying the amount of silver and copper containing salts in the electrolyte. Current density was adjusted to obtain films with different crystallite size while the volume fraction of the metal nanocrystallites was altered by varying the dilution of the solution containing the salts. Raman studies indicated the presence of two peaks located at ∼1350 cm−1 (D-line) and 1566 cm−1 (G-line) for all the films and the relative intensities of these peaks changed with the amount of metal incorporation in it. The FTIR spectra were seen to be dominated by a peak at 975 cm−1 for C-H out of plane deformation modes along with peaks for C-H bending, C-H stretching and C-C stretching modes at 858, 1113 and 1189 cm−1, respectively. The optical absorption spectra showed a single plasmon band instead of two characteristic bands for Ag and Cu. We ascribe this to nanophase limited interfacial alloying at the Ag-Cu interface. Abstract In his communication on the detection limits for thermal emission spectroscopy of metallic species in flame media, Fassel (1) attacks our previous statement that detection limits for Al, Be and Mo were available only for turbulent oxygen-supported hydrogen or acetylene flames. It should be borne in mind that he was referring to a preliminary communication (2) which naturally does not carry an extensive bibliography. It should also be noted that we were concerned, in context, with a comparison of the separated flame with conventional flames, not with highly unconventional flames such as those to which he refers. Whilst the point with which he takes issue was a very minor one, incorporated in our preliminary communication mainly as an “aside”, we firmly disagree with his observation. The flame he refers to (3) (4) is, in fact, a diluted oxy-acetylene flame which is supported by venting some air (and therefore nitrogen) to dilute the fuel-oxygen mixture. Fassel's communication (1) erroneously refers to this as a 'premixed oxy-acetylene flame', whereas elsewhere (5) it is described more correctly as an oxygen-nitrogen-acetylene flame. The burner he long-pathlength carbonaceous flames (10). Optical emission spectroscopy and Langmuir probe are used to investigate the low pressure inductively coupled Ar–N2 plasmas as function of rf power, filling pressure and Ar content in N2 discharge. It is observed that the active species generation, dissociation fraction and electron temperature significantly depends on discharge parameters and may be used to optimize the plasma reactor. Mixture of SWCNTs and MWCNTs are treated for different treatment time (0–120 min) at optimum discharge conditions. Changes induced in the elemental composition, surface morphology, crystallographic structure, and structural disorder in the plasma irradiated CNTs are analyzed by EDX, FTIR, SEM, XRD and Raman spectroscopy, respectively. Ar–N2 mixture plasma treatment of CNTs lead to a significant increase in the electrical conductivity, modify the microstructure and induce structural disorder and cause a transition of crystalline phase from well crystalline to an amorphous structure. 相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical model for the generation of right circularly polarized terahertz (THz) radiation by the beating of two cross focused Gaussian laser beams, in axially magnetized plasma. The presence of a finite ponderomotive force causes the redistribution of charge carriers, which changes the dielectric constant and results in cross focusing of the laser beams. The results reveal that the presence of a static magnetic field significantly enhances the cross focusing of the beams. Due to the mutual interaction between the focused beams, the electrons also experiences a nonlinear force at the beat wave frequency. The nonlinear velocity component at the beat wave frequency then couples with the pre-existing density ripple and results in a nonlinear current density generation at THz frequency. A series of six organotin(IV) carboxylates [Me2SnL2] (1), [n-Bu2SnL2] (2), [n-Oct2SnL2] (3), [Me3SnL] (4), n-Bu3SnL (5) and [Ph3SnL] (6), where L = 3-(4-cyanophenyl) acrylic acid have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and NMR (1H, 13C). The complex (4) was also analyzed by single crystal X-ray analysis which showed distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry with polymeric bridging behavior. The complexes 1–6 were screened for antimicrobial activities and cytotoxicity. The results showed significant activity with few exceptions. The catalytic activity of complexes was assessed in transesterification reaction of Brassica campestris oil (triglycerides) to produce biodiesel (fatty acid methyl esters). An efficient blood plasma clean-up method was developed, where methanol protein precipitation was applied, followed by zirconium silicate assisted exclusion of residual proteins. A strong binding of zirconium (IV) silicate to the proteins enabled the elimination of remaining proteins after solvent deproteinization through a rapid solid-phase extraction (SPE) procedure. Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI/TOF MS) was used for monitoring the proteins during clean-up practice applied to human plasma samples. The proteins were quantified by colorimetric detection using the bicinchoninic acid (BCA) assay. The presented analytical strategy resulted in the depletion of >99.6% proteins from human plasma samples. Furthermore, high-performance liquid chromatography hyphenated to diode-array and electrospray ionization mass spectrometric detection (HPLC–DAD/ESI MS) was applied for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the caffeoylquinic acids (CQAs) and their metabolites in human plasma. The procedure demonstrated high recoveries for the standard compounds spiked at different concentrations. Cynarin and chlorogenic acid were recovered in the range of 81–86% and 78–83%, respectively. Caffeic acid was extracted in the excess of 89–92%, while ferulic acid and dihydroxyhydrocinnamic acid showed a recovery of 87–91% and 92–95%, respectively. The method was partially validated in accordance with FDA-Industry Guidelines for Bioanalytical Method Validation (2001). The presented scheme improves the clean-up efficacy of the methanol deproteinization, significantly reduces the matrix effects and provides a great analytical tool for the isolation of small molecules from human plasma. 相似文献
