The density of crystal lattice defects in Si: Er layers grown through sublimation molecular-beam epitaxy at temperatures ranging from 520 to 580°C is investigated by a metallographic method, and the Hall mobility of electrons in these layers is determined. It is found that the introduction of erbium at a concentration of up to ~5 × 1018 cm?3 into silicon layers is not accompanied by an increase in the density of crystal lattice defects but leads to a considerable decrease in the electron mobility. 相似文献

A numerical method has been developed for calculating the director configuration in ellipsoidal droplets of a nematic liquid crystal with strong tangential anchoring in a uniform magnetic field of an arbitrary orientation. A relation has been obtained for determining the Friedericksz threshold corresponding to the beginning of the reorientation of the central region of a droplet when the field is orthogonal to the biopolar axis. The effect of the breaking of the orthogonal condition on the threshold character of the orientation process is considered. The reorientation of the ensemble of bipolar droplets of the 5CB nematic liquid crystal dispersed in polyvinyl butyral has been studied by the magneto-optical method. Comparative analysis of calculation data and measured values of the threshold field has been performed. 相似文献

Nanostructured non-valence compounds based on coordination compounds of zinc(II) with phthalic and terephthalic acids have been prepared. The purity and composition of prepared compounds have been elucidated from X-ray diffraction analysis, IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetry studies; thermal decomposition of the non-valence compounds has been studied as well. The prepared self-assembled compounds are co-precipitated with one water molecule and 1.5 acetic acid molecules per unit of the dicarboxylic acid: [Zn4(OH)6·o-C6H4(COO)2]·H2O·1.5CH3COOH and [Zn4(OH)6·p-C6H4(COO)2]·H2O· 1.5CH3COOH. 相似文献

Polarization optic techniques have been applied to study specific features of the anisotropic interaction between a dye‐doped eutectic mixture of nematic liquid crystals p‐methoxybenzylidene‐p‐n‐butylaniline and p‐ethoxybenzylidene‐p‐n‐butylaniline and a polar surface of a ferroelectric triglycine sulphate crystal over the temperature range including the substrate Curie point T c. It has been found that the temperature‐induced structural changes in the nematic layer in the vicinity of T c are related to the changes in the orientational part of the tensor order parameter Qik . The temperature dependence of the director angle θ¯, averaged over the nematic layer, has been obtained from the effective dichroism values of solute absorption. It is established experimentally that the electroconductivity of individual molten chlorides of calcium, strontium, and barium increases with the electric field strength and reaches limiting values, which are dependent on the salt nature and the temperature. The limiting electroconductivity of molten calcium and strontium chlorides satisfactorily obeys the Nernst–Einstein relationship. The relaxation kinetics of excess conductivity induced by high-voltage pulsed discharges is studied. The relaxation time is equal to about 104 s. 相似文献

The dispersion and anisotropy of the permittivity of the liquid crystal 5CB in the solid, nematic, and isotropic phases are
investigated at frequencies ranging from 50 to 1000 MHz using discretely tunable hybrid microstrip cavities. Resonance features
which grow with increasing temperature are observed in the dielectric spectra. It is found that the section of the dispersion
which is due to oriented vibrations of the mesophase molecules covers the frequency range almost up to 300 MHz, and the resonances
found could be due to conformational vibrations of the molecules.

An original microstrip resonator design with a strip conductor split by a slot at one of its ends is investigated. It is demonstrated that at the optimal slot sizes, when the eigenfrequency of the second oscillation mode hits the center between the first and third oscillation modes, the resonator can work as a thirdorder bandpass filter. The structure formed from only two such resonators electromagnetically coupled by split conductor sections is a miniature six-order wideband filter with high selectivity. The test prototype of the filter with a central passband frequency of ~1.2 GHz and a passband width of ~0.75 GHz fabricated on a substrate ~(45 × 11 × 1) mm3 in size with a permittivity of 80 is characterized by minimum loss in a passband of 0.5 dB. The parametric synthesis of the filter structure was performed using electrodynamic analysis of the 3D model. The measured characteristics of the test prototype agree well with the calculated data. 相似文献

Specific features of the anisotropic interaction between a nematic mixture and a polar surface of a ferroelectric triglycine
sulfate crystal have been studied over a wide temperature range including the substrate's Curie point Tc. The mixture was composed of two nematic liquid crystals, 60% of p-methoxybenzylidene-p-n-butylaniline (MBBA) and 40% of p-ethoxybenzylidene-p-n-butylaniline (EBBA), and doped with a small amount of a dichroic dye. The temperature dependence of the polarized components
of optical density Dj of the dye absorption band for the nematic and isotropic phases of the MBBA+EBBA mixture has been obtained using polarization
optic techniques. The temperature-induced structural changes in the nematic layer near Tc were found to be related to the changes in the orientational part of the tensor order parameter Qik. The experimental data have been interpreted using the model, in which the dispersive van der Waals forces of the substrate
stabilize the planar orientation of the nematic in the bulk competing with the short-range anchoring forces in the vicinity
of Tc. At the same time, the anisotropic part of the surface energy has two terms with the orthogonal easy axes. The nature of
the surface electric field and its effect on the director alignment at the interface have been clarified. Taking into account
the known relation between anchoring strength and the nematic order parameter, the effective anchoring energy weff for the studied system has been determined as a function of temperature. 相似文献
