Summary Flow-through electrochemical cells with porous working electrodes made of crushed reticulated vitreous carbon and plated with mercury were used for absolute analysis of trace amounts of lead by anodic stripping coulometry with collection (ASCWC) in a flow system. The role of mercury coating, flow rate and pH were investigated. The coulombic content of the collection peak corresponded to the theoretical values calculated by Faraday's law in a concentration range from about 10–9 to 10–6 mol/l. The relative error and the relative standard deviation was +0.15% and 0.8%, respectively for 2×10–6 mol/l analyte concentration. The absolute detection limit (3 s) was 0.1 ng of Pb, the linear response range 7×104.

The crystal structure of 1-[3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-propenoyl]pyrrolidine (C15H19NO3) (I) has been determined by X-ray analysis. It crystallizes orthorhombic space group Pbca with a = 24.295(3), b = 15.086(3), c = 7.552(3)A, V = 2768(1)A3, Z = 8, Dcalc = 1.254 g/cm3, mu = (Mo K(alpha)) = 0.87 cm(-1). The surface of polystyrene was modified with the bovine serum albumin-Tween 80 complex. The adsorption of the complex and the formation of films on the surface of polystyrene were studied using the piezoelectric weighing method. The state of the modified surface was evaluated by contact angle measurements. The stability of the modifying layer was determined based on the critical interfacial energy values of the surface equilibrated with water. A conclusion was drawn that the complex can be effectively used to enhance the biocompatibility of polymer materials. 相似文献

An automated procedure was developed for monitoring fast changes in the size of spherical samples of polymers during their
contact with a solvent or drying. The kinetics of bulk deformation in these processes was studied for a series of cross-linked
polymers, viz., gel-type and porous styrene—divinylbenzene copolymers and poly(divinylbenzenes), and hypercrosslinked polystyrenes. Gel,
macroporous, and hypercrosslinked polystyrenes are substantially different in the rate, mechanism, and degree of swelling,
which is associated with the principal differences in their physical structures. An unusual effect of a sharp decrease followed
by a temporary increase in the volume of porous polystyrene and poly(divinylbenzene) materials were observed during desorption
(evaporation) of organic solvents. Water desorption is accompanied by an excessive bulk compression of porous granules giving
rise to negative deformations, which gradually relax to the state equilibrium for the dry polymer. The results of dynamic
desorption porometry (for water desorption) are indicative of a bimodal size distribution of micropores in hypercrosslinked
polystyrene.

We introduce and investigate the properties of Hochschild cohomology of algebras in an abelian monoidal category M. We show that the second Hochschild cohomology group of an algebra in M classifies extensions of A up to an equivalence. We characterize algebras of Hochschild dimension 0 (separable algebras), and of Hochschild dimension ≤1 (formally smooth algebras).
