The flow of a gravity current past a circular cylinder mounted above a bottom wall is studied by means of two-dimensional Navier–Stokes simulations. The investigation focuses on the effects of the gap size on the forces acting on the cylinder. The interaction of the current with the cylinder can be divided into an impact, a transient, and a quasisteady stage. During the impact stage, the gravity current meets the cylinder, and the drag increases towards a maximum, while the lift undergoes a drastic fluctuation which increases noticeably with the gap size. During the quasisteady stage, the flow past the cylinder resembles that observed in constant-density boundary layer flows past cylinders: Karman vortex shedding is observed for sufficiently large gap sizes, while a vorticity cancellation mechanism is responsible for the suppression of vortex shedding at small gap sizes. On the other hand, interesting differences that distinguish the gravity current case from the constant-density case are the presence in the gravity current flow of a component of the mean quasisteady lift due to buoyancy, and another component from the deflection of the wake towards the wall by the constriction of the dense fluid flow downstream of the cylinder, as well as the cancellation of vortex shedding for all gap sizes when the ratio of the channel depth to lock height is decreased from 5 to 1.  相似文献

Starting from 4-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid 1, compounds 210 (N-alkoxy-3,5-dinitro-4-aminobenzoic acid esters where alkoxy stands for methoxy, carboxymethoxy, triphenylmethoxy, or corresponding amides) have been obtained, from which compounds 35 and 710 are new, and for the known compounds 2 and 6 the synthetic procedure has been improved. The new derivatives have been characterized by appropriate means (IR, UV–Vis, 1H- and 13C-NMR, fluorescence) and their properties were studied. Thus, depending on their structure, the compounds have acid properties, fluorescence and complexing properties with alkaline cations.  相似文献

Starting from N-hydroxyphthalimide 1 and the reactive fluoro- or chloro-nitroaryl derivatives 2, 3 and 4a-e (2-chloro-3,5-dinitropyridine; 3, NBD-chloride; 4a, 1-fluoro-2,4-dinitrobenzene; 4b, picryl chloride; 4c, 4-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzotrifluoride; 4d, 2-chloro-3,5- dinitrobenzotrifluoride; 4e, 4-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid) the corresponding N-(2-nitroaryloxy)-phthalimide derivatives 5a-e, or 6 and 7 were obtained and characterized by IR, UV-Vis 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The TLC behavior and the hydrophobicity of these derivatives have been experimentally evaluated by RM0 parameters (using RP-TLC). The experimental RM0 parameters were compared with the calculated partition coefficient, log P. A QSPR study was also performed to establish possible correlations between the structure and physical properties (λmax and RM0) of compounds 5a-e, 6, and 7.   相似文献

An olfactory biosensor based on a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) field‐effect transistor (FET), functionalized by the odorant‐binding protein 14 (OBP14) from the honey bee (Apis mellifera) has been designed for the in situ and real‐time monitoring of a broad spectrum of odorants in aqueous solutions known to be attractants for bees. The electrical measurements of the binding of all tested odorants are shown to follow the Langmuir model for ligand–receptor interactions. The results demonstrate that OBP14 is able to bind odorants even after immobilization on rGO and can discriminate between ligands binding within a range of dissociation constants from Kd=4 μM to Kd=3.3 mM . The strongest ligands, such as homovanillic acid, eugenol, and methyl vanillate all contain a hydroxy group which is apparently important for the strong interaction with the protein.  相似文献

The short-lived isotopes of W and their descendants have been isolated from the products of the bombardment of144Sm with24Mg by a fast continuous ion-exchange method, using HF solution media. The feasibility of this method for isolation of element 106 is discussed.  相似文献

Some short-lived isotopes of Hf, Ta and W, synthesized at the U-400 cyclotron of JINR-Dubna, have been isolated using a previously elaborated fast continuous method of chemical isolation of element 104 from nuclear reaction products. The products were transported by a NaCl aerosol jet, from the irradiated targets to a separation device in which Hf, Ta and W were isolated by using three coupled ion-exchange columns.  相似文献

The preemission of neutrons from 11Li halo nuclei is considered. The present problems of investigation of 11Li halo nucleus structure by means of the C nn correlation function are briefly presented. The influence of the target screening on the halo neutron preemission is described. It is shown that, owing to the diminishing of the screening effect, the yield of preemission neutron pairs is expected to be much larger in the case of 12C than in the case of Si target. It is shown that a new experiment on a 12C target will allow one to solve the standing problems of C nn and to test experimentally a recent new theory of C nn.
