δ-electron emission in elastic and dissipative collisions of U+Au at E/A = 8.65 MeV has been investigated. The velocity vectors of the reaction products were measured in coincidence with electrons of energies up to 3.2 MeV. The δ-electron yield measured for elastic collisions is in good agreement with coupled-channels calculations. The δ-electron spectra of dissipative reactions show a clear dependence on the violence of the collision, i.e. the total kinetic energy loss (TKEL). The shape of the spectra are analysed with an atomic model by a fitting procedure using phenomenological trajectories. The results indicate an increasing contact time of the united system with increasing total kinetic energy loss reaching 1.16(4) × 10?21 s at < TKEL > = 375 MeV. 相似文献

Hydrogenases are among the fastest H2 evolving catalysts known to date and have been extensively studied under in vitro conditions. Here, we report the first mechanistic investigation of an [FeFe]-hydrogenase under whole-cell conditions. Functional [FeFe]-hydrogenase from the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is generated in genetically modified Escherichia coli cells by addition of a synthetic cofactor to the growth medium. The assembly and reactivity of the resulting semi-synthetic enzyme was monitored using whole-cell electron paramagnetic resonance and Fourier-transform Infrared difference spectroscopy as well as scattering scanning near-field optical microscopy. Through a combination of gas treatments, pH titrations, and isotope editing we were able to corroborate the formation of a number of proposed catalytic intermediates in living cells, supporting their physiological relevance. Moreover, a previously incompletely characterized catalytic intermediate is reported herein, attributed to the formation of a protonated metal hydride species.The mechanism of hydrogen gas formation by [FeFe] hydrogenase is probed under whole cell conditions, revealing the formation of reactive metal hydride species under physiologically relevant conditions. 相似文献

The feasibility of the spectroscopy of dynamically ionized electrons (positrons) from heavy-ion collisions at intermediate
energies, e.g. Pb+Pb at 60 AMeV has been studied. We propose a magnetic toroid spectrometer for lepton spectroscopy in an energy range between 5 and 50
MeV. Special emphasis was laid on large solid angles, on broad-band characteristics and on a good suppression of secondary
events. The device is a versatile compact-size instrument for lepton detection in in-beam experiments at a moderate energy
resolution of %.
