The masses of ten proton-rich nuclides, including the N=Z+1 nuclides ??Mo and ??Tc, were measured with the Penning trap mass spectrometer SHIPTRAP. Compared to the Atomic Mass Evaluation 2003 a systematic shift of the mass surface by up to 1.6 MeV is observed causing significant abundance changes of the ashes of astrophysical x-ray bursts. Surprisingly low α separation energies for neutron-deficient Mo and Tc are found, making the formation of a ZrNb cycle in the rp process possible. Such a cycle would impose an upper temperature limit for the synthesis of elements beyond Nb in the rp process. 相似文献

First experimental evidence for a high-spin isomer (25/2+) in 97Cd, a waiting point in the astrophysical rapid proton capture process, is presented. The data were obtained in β-decay studies at NSCL using the new RF Fragment Separator system and detecting β-delayed protons and β-delayed γ rays. Decays from ground and isomeric states were disentangled, and proton emission branches were determined for the first time. We find half-lives of 1.10(8) s and 3.8(2) s, and β-delayed proton emission branches of 12(2)% and 25(4)% were deduced for the ground and isomeric states, respectively. With these results, the nuclear data needed to determine an rp-process contribution to the unknown origin of solar 96Ru are in place. When the new data are included in astrophysical rp-process calculations, one finds that an rp-process origin of 96Ru is unlikely. 相似文献

Two {110}-faceted gold nanostructures--rhombic dodecahedra and obtuse triangular bipyramids--have been synthesized via a Ag-assisted, seed-mediated growth method. The combination of a Cl(-)-containing surfactant with a low concentration of Ag(+) plays a role in the stabilization of the {110} facets. The structural and magnetic properties of 3-nm-thick CoPt alloys grown on WSe2(0 0 0 1) at various temperature are investigated. Deposition at room temperature leads to the formation of a chemically disordered fcc CoPt alloy with [1 1 1] orientation. Growth at elevated temperatures induces L10 chemical order starting at 470 K accompanied with an increase in grain size and a change in grain morphology. As a consequence of the [1 1 1] growth direction, the CoPt grains can adopt one of the three possible variants of the L10 phase with tetragonal c-axis tilted from the normal to the film plane direction at 54°. The average long-range order parameter is found to be 0.35(±0.05) and does not change with the increase in the deposition temperature from 570 to 730 K. This behavior might be related to Se segregation towards the growing facets and surface disorder effects promoted by a high surface-to-volume ratio. Magnetic studies reveal a superparamagnetic behavior for the films grown at 570 and 730 K in agreement with the film morphology and degree of chemical order. The measurements at 10 K reveal the orientation of the easy axis of the magnetization lying basically in the film plane. 相似文献

Collective surface plasmon resonance (SPR) excitations in an ordered array of silver nanoshells have been theoretically studied
using generalized Mie theory. Near- and far-field radiative coupling between the nanoshells in the array result in a non-monotonic
shift of the collective SPR band. When the distance between the shells in the array approaches that of the collective SPR
wavelength, we observe narrowing of the collective SPR band due to constructive interference between the scattered electric
field from the particles in the array. Further increase of the distance between the nanoshells in the array leads to destructive
