The first catalytic enantioselective Michael addition of deconjugated butyrolactams to N-arylmaleimides is developed with the help of a bifunctional tertiary aminosquaramide catalyst. Unlike the widely explored and structurally related vinylogous nucleophile – deconjugated butenolides, deconjugated butyrolactams are found to be exclusively α-selective. The resulting highly substituted and densely functionalized products, bearing contiguous all-carbon quaternary and tertiary stereocenters, are formed in good yields with moderate diastereoselectivity and good to excellent enantioselectivity (up to 99:1 er).  相似文献

Three new series of photoluminescent nickel(II) metallomesogens, [NiL]; H2L = N,N′-Bis(4-n-alkoxysalicylidene)-4-fluoro/bromo/chloro-1,2-diaminobenzene (n = 12, 14, 16) based on ‘salphen’ ligands have been synthesised and their mesomorphic and photophysical properties explored. The complexes, isolated as orange microcrystalline solids were characterised by elemental analyses, FT-IR, 1H NMR and UV-visible spectroscopy. Thermal studies show all the compounds to be enantiotropic liquid crystals displaying columnar mesophase over a wide temperature range. Electronegativity and steric requirement of the halogen substituent at the ligand’s spacer remarkably influence the 2-D packing of the columns in the lattice in these complexes controlling the supramolecular mesomorphic order and photoluminescence. The mesophase behaviour of the fluoro-substituted complex is characterised by a transition from a columnar oblique (p1) to columnar rectangular (p2mm) phase, former stable till ambient temperature. The chloro and bromo analogues, on the other hand, displayed exclusively columnar rectangular (p2mm) mesophase with the former transforming into a glassy state and latter into a crystalline phase during cooling to ambient temperature. Molecular model based on interdigitated anti-parallel and back to back arrangements in the different columnar mesophase are proposed on the basis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies. The complexes emit in the blue region when excited with near UV wavelength.  相似文献

The flame curvature statistics of turbulent premixed Bunsen flames have been analysed in this paper using a Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) database of turbulent Bunsen flames at ambient and elevated pressures. In order to be able to perform a large parametric study in terms of pressure, heat release parameter, turbulence conditions and nozzle diameter, a single step Arrhenius type irreversible chemistry has been used for the purpose of computational economy, where thermo-chemical parameters are adjusted to match the behavior of stoichiometric methane-air flames. This analysis focuses on the characterization of the local flame geometry in response to turbulence and hydro-dynamic instability. The shape of the flame front is found to be consistent with existing experimental data. Although the Darrieus Landau instability promotes cusp formation, a qualitatively similar flame morphology can be observed for hydro-dynamically stable flames. A criterion has been suggested for the curvature PDF to become negatively skewed.  相似文献

Applying a many mode Floquet formalism for magnetically trapped atoms interacting with a polychromatic rf-field, we predict a large two photon transition probability in the atomic system of cold 87Rb atoms. The physical origin of this enormous increase in the two photon transition probability is due to the formation of avoided crossings between eigen-energy levels originating from different Floquet sub-manifolds and redistribution of population in the resonant intermediate levels to give rise to the resonance enhancement effect. Other exquisite features of the studied atom-field composite system include the splitting of the generated avoided crossings at the strong field strength limit and a periodic variation of the single and two photon transition probabilities with the mode separation frequency of the polychromatic rf-field. This work can find applications to characterize properties of cold atom clouds in the magnetic traps using rf-spectroscopy techniques.  相似文献

NOR gate response in a double quantum ring, where each ring is threaded by a magnetic flux , is investigated. The double quantum ring is sandwiched symmetrically between two semi-infinite one-dimensional metallic electrodes, and two gate voltages, namely, Va and Vb, are applied, respectively, in lower arms of the two rings those are treated as the two inputs of the NOR gate. A simple tight-binding model is used to describe the system, and all the calculations are done through the Green’s function formalism. Here we calculate exactly the conductance–energy and current–voltage characteristics as functions of the ring-to-electrode coupling strengths, magnetic flux and gate voltages. Our numerical study predicts that, for a typical value of the magnetic flux =0/2 (0=ch/e, the elementary flux-quantum), a high output current (1) (in the logical sense) appears if both the inputs to the gate are low (0), while if one or both are high (1), a low output current (0) results. It clearly demonstrates the NOR gate behavior, and this aspect may be utilized in designing an electronic logic gate.  相似文献

We critically revisit the various attempts to prove one-eighth law in two-dimensional (2D) turbulence and reconcile them. Herein, the one-eighth law has been proved for unforced 2D incompressible high Reynolds number turbulence. This article proposes a handcrafted fuzzy rule-based system for segmentation and identification of different tissue types in magnetic resonance (MR) brain images. The proposed fuzzy system uses a combination of histogram and spatial neighborhood-based features. The intensity variation from one type of tissue to another is gradual at the boundaries due to the inherent nature of the MR signal (MR physics). A fuzzy rule-based approach is expected to better handle these variations and variability in features corresponding to different types of tissues. The proposed segmentation is tested to classify the pixels of the T2-weighted axial MR images of the brain into three primary tissue types: white matter, gray matter and cerebral-spinal fluid. The results are compared with those from manual segmentation by an expert, demonstrating good agreement between them.  相似文献
