Most of the important aspects of soliton propagation through optical fibers for transcontinental and transoceanic long distances can best be described using the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Optical solitons are electromagnetic waves that span in nonlinear dispersive media and permit the stress and intensity to stay unaltered as a result of the delicate balance between dispersion and nonlinearity effects. However, this study exploited the Jacobi elliptic method and obtained different soliton solutions of the decoupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation with ease. Discussions about the obtained solutions were made with the aid of some 3D graphs.  相似文献

Two facile and efficient methods, to synthesize zinc oxide (ZnO) particles with different morphologies, have been reported here. Thermal decomposition route yielded micron sized irregular shaped ZnO particles. While co‐precipitation method rendered transparent flakes which then transformed to hexagonal discs with relatively more uniform size and shape. These hexagonal discs were further converted to the cone type morphology when hexamethylenetetramine was added in the precursor solution. However, spherical type ZnO nanoparticles were obtained by incorporating polyvinyl alcohol during co‐precipitation strategy. XRD confirmed the formation of wurtzite structure in all the samples. FTIR spectroscopy revealed the presence of ZnO characteristic peaks. Moreover, 3‐D directional growths and the presence of UV‐Vis broadband multi‐absorption peaks, and green to orange photoluminescence emissions confirmed the potential application of the synthesized ZnO particles in various piezoelectric and luminescence applications.

A convenient synthesis of various biscoumarins by condensing a series of aldehydes with 4-hydroxycoumarin under microwave irradiation is reported for the first time along with a comparative account of the syntheses under conventional conditions. The reaction times have been reduced considerably with improvement in yields in comparison to thermal conditions. The reactions have been carried out in solvent as well as under solvent-free conditions, and the adopted procedure provides an energy-and time-saving protocol.  相似文献

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam waste (white pollutant) was utilised for the synthesis of novel chelating resin i.e. EPS-N = N-α-Benzoin oxime (EPS-N = N-Box). The synthesised resin was characterised by FT-IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis. A selective method for the preconcentration of Pb(II) ions on EPS-N = N-Box resin packed in mini-column was developed. The sorbed Pb(II) ions were eluted with 5.0 mL of 2.0 mol L?1 HCl and determined by microsample injection system coupled flame atomic absorption spectrometry (MIS-FAAS). The average recovery of Pb(II) ions was achieved 95.5% at optimum parameters such as pH 7, resin amount 400 mg, flow rates 1.0 mL min?1 (of eluent) and3.0 mL min?1 (of sample solution). The total saturation capacity of the resin, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) of Pb(II) ions were found to be 30 mg g?1, 0.033 μg L?1 and 0.107 μg L?1, respectively with preconcentration factor of 300. The accuracy, selectivity and validation of the method was checked by analysis of sea water (BCR-403), wastewater (BCR-715) and Tibet soil (NCS DC-78302) as certified reference materials (CRMs). The proposed method was applied successfully for the trace determination of Pb(II) ions in aqueous samples.  相似文献

Tandem reactions that involve chemoselective Knoevenagel/Perkin condensation-decarboxylation-Heck/Suzuki coupling or Heck-aldol sequences have been achieved. This enabled the first concise and efficient synthesis of several important hydroxy-functionalized compound classes, such as stilbene-cinnamoyl hybrids (potent protein tyrosine phosphatase1B inhibitors), cinnamoyl-cinnamic acid hybrids, asymmetric distyrylbenzenes, and biarylstyrenes. We study the problem where a robot has to pick up items of different sizes which are stored along a corridor. A natural requirement is that the items have to be collected in decreasing order of their sizes. We deal with various systems according to the location of the Entry/Exit station where the robot unloads the collected items after each trip along the corridor. The links of these systems with generalized coloring problems and other applications such that train shunting and pallet loading problems are discussed and related results are obtained. The formation of 3-(2-nitrophenyl)pyruvic acid and its amide and ester derivatives – key compounds for the Reissert indole synthesis – was achieved under various reaction conditions via the acid catalyzed hydrolysis of 5-(2-nitrobenzyliden)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-oxazolidin-4-one, which is readily available from 3-(2-nitrophenyl)oxirane-2-carboxamide. A new and highly efficient method for the synthesis of indole-2-carboxylic acid derivatives via the intramolecular reductive cyclization of o-nitrophenylpyruvic acid and its amide and ester derivatives was developed using Na2S2O4 in dioxane/water at reflux.  相似文献

Phytochemicals investigation of the whole plant of Zygophyllum atriplicoides resulted in the isolation of two new triterpenoidal saponins together with a known compound. The structure of the new compounds atriplicosaponin A (1) and atriplicosaponin B (2) were established as 3-O-[alpha-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-xylopyranosyl]-hederagenin and 27 alpha-hydroxyurs-12-ene-3-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->4)(2-O-sulpho)-beta-D-quinovopyranoside] and known compound was identified as 3-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl]-beta-sitosterol. The structure elucidations of the compounds were based primarily on 1D and 2D-NMR analysis, including COSY, HMBC and HMQC correlations.  相似文献
