Summary: In this work, an attempt was made to synthesize a novel Chitosan-Mesoporous silica (CS-MS) hybrid composite to design a drug delivery system based on ultrasound triggered stimuli-responsive smart release. The in-vitro drug release properties of both the Mesoporous Silica (MS) and Chitosan (CS) hybrids were investigated. Ibuprofen (Ibu) was used as a model drug. The results from powder X-Ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, and BET N2 adsorption isotherms exhibited that MS can accommodate drug molecules into the lumen of the channels and pores. Drug release, stimulated by temperature and pH of the release media was also investigated. We studied the Ultrasound (US) triggered release of Ibu in a simulated body fluid (pH 7.4). The results exhibited that US can be used as a non-invasive technique for drug release from polymeric materials. The enhancing effect of ultrasound on drug release is due to the Cavitation effect, without causing any significant destruction on the polymer morphology.  相似文献

This account provides an overview of current research activities on nanoparticles containing the earth‐abundant and inexpensive element copper (Cu) and Cu‐based nanoparticles, especially in the field of environmental catalysis. The different synthetic strategies with possible modification of the chemical/ physical properties of these nanoparticles using such strategies and/or conditions to improve catalytic activity are presented. The design and development of support and/or bimetallic systems (e. g., alloys, intermetallic, etc.) are also included. Herein, we report synthetic approaches of Cu and Cu‐based nanoparticles (monometallic copper, bimetallic copper and copper (II) oxide nanoparticles/nanostructures) and impregnation of such nanoparticles onto support material (e. g., Co3O4 nanostructure), along with their applications as environmental catalyst for various oxidation and reduction reactions. Finally, this account provides necessary advances and perspectives of Cu‐based nanoparticles in the environmental catalysis.  相似文献

Ordered, mesoporous SBA-15 functionalized with organic and inorganic moieties exhibits efficient catalytic activity in a variety of organic transformations. In this account, reviewing our own work, three-sets of surface-modified SBA-15 materials have been investigated. The first-set of materials consists of SBA-15 modified with organo-acidic (propyl thiol and propyl sulfonic acid) and basic (propyl amine and propyl adenine) moieties. The second-set of materials was prepared by grafting Mn complexes to the organo-functionalized SBA-15. The third-set composes of nanocrystalline metal oxides supported on SBA-15. All these catalysts have been characterized by structural and spectroscopic techniques. Catalytic activities of the first-set of solid materials have been investigated in acid/base-catalyzed reactions viz., ring-opening of epoxides with amines (producing β-amino alcohols), esterification, three-component-Mannich reactions and cycloaddition of CO2 to epoxides. The Mn complexes grafted on organofunctionalized SBA-15 are efficient catalysts for the chemo-, regio- and stereoselective aerial oxidation of monoterpenes at ambient conditions. TiOx, VOx, MoOx and WOx supported on SBA-15 catalyzed biomimetic oxyhalogenation of aromatic compounds. In all these reactions, the functionalized SBA-15 showed high selectivity.  相似文献

Organophosphites are nucleophilic in nature and can act as a good leaving group owing to the stability of the phosphite anion. This dual reactivity makes them good candidates for nucleophilic organocatalysis. However, phosphites were introduced only in 2004 as the umpolung catalyst for acylsilane substrates utilizing sequential Brook rearrangements. Very recently, phosphites have been reported to catalyze aza-rearrangements and radical reactions. In this review, we discuss the reactivity parameters to understand its lack of use, as well as the potential for catalysis.  相似文献

This report presents a theoretical model of extraordinary mode radiation in presence of low frequency whistler mode. We show that the generation mechanism of extraordinary mode emission in the presence of whistler mode is based on the plasma maser theory. Here, biogenic synthesis of Fe2O3@SiO2 nanoparticles using fruit extract of Zanthoxylum rhetsa is reported. The SiO2 nanoparticles was synthesized using paddy straw which is a byproduct obtained in cultivation of rice. The composite was characterised by spectroscopic method like XRD, SEM, TEM and EDX analysis. The ipso-hydroxylation reactions were carried out with excellent yield within a moderate time period with mild reaction condition in all cases. Therefore, this approach may be considered as simple, easy, cheap and greener, environment friendly protocol for ipso-hydroxylation of arylboronic acids at 50 °C temperature.  相似文献
