Clover detector has been used as a Compton polarimeter to measure the linear polarization of γ-rays produced in heavy ion fusion reaction. The polarization sensitivity of the clover detector has been measured over γ-ray energies ranging from 386 to 1368 ke V. The E1 multipolarity of the 1117 keV transition in 99Rh has been established using this polarimeter. This has resulted in the assignment of negative parity to the band head at 3710 keV in 99Rh.  相似文献

Single crystals of ruby have been obtained from fluxed melts based on the systems Li2O–MoO3, Li2O–WO3, Na2O–WO3, 2PbO–3V2O5, PbO–V2O5–WO3, PbF2–Bi2O3 and Na3AlF6 by both the TSSG method and spontaneous crystallization at the temperatures 1330–900 °C. Al2O3 solubility has been measured for the flux composition of 2Bi2O3–5PbF2 in the temperature range 1200–1000 °C and dissolution enthalpy has been defined as 29.4 KJ/Mol. The composition of grown crystals was studied by electron microprobe analysis. The synthetic ruby contains from 0.51 to 6.38 at% of chromium admixture depending on the crystal growth conditions. Experimental results on growth conditions, composition and morphology of grown crystals are presented for each flux and temperature interval.  相似文献

For the first time, the CuFeO2 single crystal has been studied by 63,65Cu nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The measurements have been carried out in the temperature range of T = 100?350 K in the magnetic field H = 117 kOe applied along different crystallographic directions. The components of the electric field gradient tensor and the hyperfine coupling constants are determined. It is shown that electrons of copper 4s and 3d orbitals are involved in the spin polarization transfer Fe → Cu. The occupancies of these orbitals are estimated.  相似文献

The crystal structure as well as the temperature and composition dependences of the lattice parameters, the thermal expansion coefficients in the high-temperature superconducting Ba1–xBiO3 system were determined by an X-ray powder diffraction method at temperatures between 80 and 650 K. The character of variation of intensity, profiles, and line widths of the diffraction lines for different perovskite structures as a function of the content x and temperatures was found. The correlation between the behaviour of the thermal expansion coefficients and potassium content was revealed at different temperatures. It is shown that the thermal expansion coefficients vary inversely with rising x at any temperature in the range from 80 to 400 K.  相似文献
