Ordered nickel oxide nanowire arrays and their optical absorption properties

Ordered NiO nanowire arrays embedded in anodic alumina membranes have been prepared by using an electrochemical deposition method. After annealing at 300 °C, the NiO nanowire arrays were characterized using SEM, TEM, SAED, and XRD. SEM and TEM observations reveal that these nanowires are dense, continuous and arranged roughly parallel to one another. XRD and SAED analysis together indicate that these NiO nanowires crystallize with a polycrystalline structure. The optical absorption band gap of NiO nanowire arrays is 3.74 eV, and no obvious blue shift or red shift with respect of that of the bulk NiO can be observed.

本文报道含有3', 4'-亚甲二氧基, 3', 4'-亚乙二氧基, 3, 4'-三亚甲二氧基的异黄酮类化合物的合成, 所得25个新化合物的结构经元素分析、^1H NMR谱确证; 紫外光谱表明有异黄酮特征吸收。文中并对反应机理进行了探讨。     

Aerobic oxidation assisted by ligand-free palladium catalysts

Aerobic oxidation of electron-rich benzylic and phenyl allylic alcohols was achieved with high yields with only 0.1 mol.% of Pd(OAc)2 catalyst in the absence of any ligand. This procedure was expected to be valuable for realistic industrial-scale applications from both economic as well as environmental points of view.     

稀土在鼠肝中的物种分布

采用 ICP-MS、微量蛋白层析分离技术 ,研究了长时间、低剂量混合稀土及短时间、高剂量硝酸镧分别对大鼠及小鼠作用后 ,稀土在鼠肝中的代谢累积及其物种分布 .结果表明 ,鼠肝中各稀土含量随给药剂量的增加而增大 ,其累积速度大小顺序为 La>Ce>Nd>Pr;经柱层析分离未得到与稀土特异结合的鼠肝蛋白 ;稀土可与多种鼠肝蛋白 (包括多种重要的酶 )结合 ,在一定条件下 ,稀土与其结合蛋白可发生解离     

A combined diffraction and dielectric properties investigation of Ba3MnNb2O9 complex perovskites

A combined synthesis, diffraction and dielectric properties investigation of the dependence (and effect) of Mn²⁺/Nb⁵⁺ ordering in Ba₃MnNb₂O₉ (BMN) upon annealing atmosphere and processing conditions has been carried out. Annealing in different atmospheres was not found to significantly alter either nominal stoichiometry or structure type. The obtained structure type (disordered metrically cubic or ordered trigonal) as well as the measured electrical properties (in particular, the dielectric loss) were, however, found to be sensitive to the synthesis route. Samples obtained via solid-state reaction were found to be predominantly of 1:2 Mn²⁺/Nb⁵⁺ ordered, trigonal structure type whereas samples obtained via an aqueous solution route were found to be of a Mn²⁺/Nb⁵⁺ ‘disordered’, metrically cubic structure type. All solid-state synthesized samples showed reasonable dielectric properties. The microwave dielectric constant and dielectric quality factor, Q, at 8 GHz of an as-synthesized BMN sample were 38 and 100, respectively. By contrast, the dielectric loss of the metrically cubic, Mn²⁺/Nb⁵⁺ ‘disordered’ samples obtained via an aqueous solution synthesis process were significantly worse.     

Compatibility studies of styrene and hydroxyl containing styrene copolymers with poly(ethylene oxide)

Copolymers of styrene with vinylphenyl trifluoromethyl carbinol, p-vinylphenyl trifluoromethyl carbinol, vinylphenyl hexafluorodimethyl carbinol, and p-vinylphenol are conditionally compatible with poly(ethylene oxide), depending on their composition and blending ratios, whereas copolymers of styrene and vinylphenyl methyl carbinol are much less compatible with poly(ethylene oxide), as determined by T_g criteria and differential scanning calorimetry. The crystallinity of poly(ethylene oxide) is changed in the copolymer/poly(ethylene oxide) blends, as indicated by depressions of the poly(ethylene oxide) melting point. Hydrogen-bond formation has been studied in two selected blends by infrared (IR) spectroscopy. Hydrogen bonding dissociation and reassociation as a function of temperature are reported. The conformation changes of poly(ethylene oxide) in the blends, the interaction between copolymer and poly(ethylene oxide) as well as in the reference blend, polystyrene/poly(ethylene oxide), are also investigated.

Total synthesis of crotophorbolone

As a natural diterpenoid, crotophorbolone possesses a challenging trans,trans-5/7/6 framework decorated with six contiguous stereogenic centers and is structurally and biogenetically related to tigliane-type diterpenoids with intriguing bioactivities such as phorbol and prostratin. Based on the convergent strategy, we completed an eighteen-step total synthesis of crotophorbolone starting from (−)-carvone and (+)-dimethyl-2,3-O-isopropylidene-l-tartrate. The key elements of the synthesis involve expedient installation of the six-membered ring and the five-membered ring with multiple functional groups at an early stage, cyclization of the seven-membered ring through alkenylation of the ketone between the five-membered ring and the six-membered ring, functional group-sensitive ring-closing metathesis and final selective introduction of hydroxyls at C₂₀ and C₄.

Convergent total synthesis of crotophorbolone was accomplished in 18 longest linear steps. Observation of unexpected thermodynamic stability of a cis,trans-5/7/6 tricycle would benefit synthetic design of tigliane- and daphnane-related diterpenoids.
