The Nernst?CPlanck equations with some additional assumptions was used in this study to investigate the forward kinetics and ion-exchange mechanism of heavy metal ions viz. Ni2+?CH+, Cu2+?CH+, Mn2+?CH+ and Zn2+?CH+ on the surface of carboxymethyl cellulose Sn(IV) phosphate composite nano-rod-like cation-exchanger. It was observed that heavy metals' exchange processes were imparted by the particle diffusion-controlled phenomenon. Some physical parameters i.e., fractional attainment of equilibrium U(??), self-diffusion coefficients (D o), energy of activation (E a), and entropy of activation (??S*) were estimated. These investigations revealed that the equilibrium is attained faster at higher temperature probably because of availability of thermally enlarged matrix of carboxymethyl cellulose Sn(IV) phosphate composite nano-rod-like cation-exchange material. The physical parameters observed for this composite cation exchanger were also compared with other composite ion exchangers. The results showed that the ion-exchange phenomenon is more feasible on the surface of this composite cation exchanger as compared with the other ion exchangers which indicated the usefulness of this composite ion exchanger in various applications.  相似文献

Fen soils from two sites of the Rhin-Havel-Luch, a peatland in the north-east of Germany, have been investigated. The samples have been collected in two horizons, representing different degrees of degradation and mineralisation of peat. Gravimetric measurements, energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF), elemental analysis, and 1H low resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (LR-NMR) of the fen soil samples have been performed. By multivariate analysis of all the experimental data, especially by the principal component analysis (PCA) and by the cluster analysis, respectively, it was possible to classify the fen soils, to identify their characteristic properties, to detect temporal and local variations, and to prove representative field sampling. Furthermore, the correlation between variables of the applied analytical methods could be interpreted in context to the composition of fen soils and mutual influences of their properties.  相似文献

POx bottle‐brush brushes (BBBs) are synthesized by SIPGP of 2‐isopropenyl‐2‐oxazoline and consecutive LCROP of 2‐oxazolines on 3‐aminopropyltrimethoxysilane‐modified silicon substrates. The side chain hydrophilicity and polarity are varied. The impact of the chemical composition and architecture of the BBB upon protein (fibronectin) adsorption and endothelial cell adhesion are investigated and prove extremely low protein adsorption and cell adhesion on BBBs with hydrophilic side chains such as poly(2‐methyl‐2‐oxazoline) and poly(2‐ethyl‐2‐oxazoline). The influence of the POx side chain terminal function upon adsorption and adhesion is minor but the side chain length has a significant effect on bioadsorption.

Methylcellulose (MC)-based films were prepared by casting from its 1% aqueous solution containing 0.5% vegetable oil, 0.25% glycerol and 0.025% Tween®-80. Puncture strength (PS), puncture deformation (PD) and water vapor permeability (WVP) of the films were found to be 147 N/mm, 3.46 mm, and 6.34 g mm/m2 day kPa, respectively. The monomer, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) (0.1–1%, w/w) was incorporated into the MC-based solution and films were prepared by casting. Films were then exposed to gamma radiation (5–25 kGy) and it revealed that 1% HEMA containing films showed the highest PS values (282 N/mm at 10 kGy). Silane monomer (3-aminopropyl tri-ethoxy silane) (0.1–1%, w/w) was also added into the MC-based films and were found to improve the strength of the films significantly. In comparison between HEMA and silane treatment onto MC-based films, it was observed that silane performed better strength and barrier properties. Surface morphology of the monomer treated films was examined by scanning electron microscopy and suggested better appearance than MC-based film.  相似文献

Chitosan–starch blend films (thickness 0.2 mm) of different composition were prepared by casting and their mechanical properties were studied. To improve the properties of chitosan–starch films, glycerol and mustard oil of different composition were used. Chitosan–starch films, incorporated with glycerol and mustard oil, were further modified with monomer 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) using gamma radiation. The modified films showed improvement in both tensile strength and elongation at break than the pure chitosan–starch films. Water uptake of the films reduced significantly than the pure chitosan–starch film. Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) showed that the modified films experience less thermal degradation than the pure films. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and FTIR were used to investigate the morphology and molecular interaction of the blend film, respectively.  相似文献

To diminish the time required for some diagnostic assays including polymerase chain reaction (PCR), loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP; due to mainly DNA extraction step) and also triple antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (TAS-ELISA) into a minimum level, an innovative immunocapture LAMP (IC-LAMP) and immunocapture PCR (IC-PCR) protocol on the basis of beet curly top virus (BCTV) genome was used and optimized. TAS-ELISA was employed first to validate the existence of the virus. All six IC-LAMP primers (i.e. forward outer primer (F3), backward outer primer (B3), forward inner primer (FIP), backward inner primer (BIP), loop forward (LF) and loop backward (LB)) together with IC-PCR primers were designed on the basis of the replication-associated protein (rep) gene (GenBank accession AF379637.1) of BCTV genome. Also, a novel colorimetric IC-LAMP assay for rapid and easy detection of BCTV was developed here, its potential compared with TAS-ELISA and IC-PCR assays. The method, on the whole, had the following advantages over the two mentioned procedures: (i) fascinatingly, no need of DNA extraction; (ii) no requirement of expensive and sophisticated tools for amplification and detection; (iii) no post-amplification treatment of the amplicons and (iv) a flexible and easy detection approach, which is visually detected by naked eyes using diverse visual dyes.  相似文献

Luciferin‐regenerating enzyme (LRE) contributes to in vitro recycling of D‐luciferin. In this study, reinvestigation of the luciferase‐based LRE assay is reported. Here, using quick change site‐directed mutagenesis seven T‐LRE (Lampyris turkestanicusLRE) mutants were constructed and the most functional mutant of T‐LRE (T69R) was selected for this research and the effects of D‐ and L‐cysteine on T69R T‐LRE‐luciferase‐coupled assay are examined. Our results demonstrate that bioluminescent signal of T69R T‐LRE‐luciferase‐coupled assay increases and then reach equilibrium state in the presence of 5 mm D‐cysteine. In addition, results reveal that 5 mm D‐ and L‐cysteine in the absence of T69R T‐LRE cause a significant increase in bioluminescence intensity of luciferase over a long time as well as decrease in decay rate. Based on activity measurements, far‐UV CD analysis, ANS fluorescence and DLS (Dynamic light scattering) results, D‐cysteine increases the activity of luciferase due to weak redox potential, antiaggregatory effects, induction of changes in conformational structure and kinetics properties. In conclusion, in spite of previous reports on the effect of LRE on luciferase bioluminescent intensity, the majority of increase in luciferase light output and time‐course originate from the direct effects of D‐cysteine on structure and activity of firefly luciferase.  相似文献

In the present work new nitro substituted thioureas, and their copper complexes have been synthesized and characterized by FTIR and multinuclear NMR techniques. Some of the compounds namely 1‐benzoyl‐3‐(4‐chloro‐3‐nitrophenyl) thiourea (A‐1), 1‐benzoyl‐3‐(4‐chloro‐3‐nitrophenyl) thiourea (A‐2) and 1‐benzoyl‐3‐(2‐methoxy‐4‐nitrophenyl) thiourea (A‐2) have also been characterized by single crystal XRD. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for DNA binding potencies (using cyclic voltametry, UV‐vis spectroscopy) and free radical scavanging activities.  相似文献

Erythrocentaurin is a relatively simple natural product present among the members of Gentianaceae. A preparative method for the isolation of erythrocentaurin from the ethyl acetate fraction of Enicostemma littorale using medium‐pressure liquid chromatography has been reported. The method consisted of a simple step gradient from 10 to 20% ethyl acetate in n‐hexane. Using a 70 × 460 mm Si60 column, this method is capable of processing 20 g of material in <3 h (purity ≈ 97%). The recovery of erythrocentaurin was 87.77%. Estimation of erythrocentaurin in extracts and fractions based on high‐pressure thin‐layer chromatography was carried out on silica gel 60 F254 plates with toluene/ethyl acetate/formic acid (80:18:2 v/v/v) as the mobile phase. The densitometric analysis was performed at 230 nm. A well‐separated compact band of erythrocentaurin appeared at Rf 0.54 ± 0.04. The analytical method showed good linearity in the concentration range of 200–1500 ng/band with a correlation coefficient of 0.99417. The limits of detection and quantification were found to be ≈60 and ≈180 ng/band, respectively. Erythrocentaurin exhibited a concentration‐dependent α‐amylase inhibition (IC50 1.67 ± 0.28 mg/mL). The outcome of the study should be considered for pharmacokinetic and biotransformation studies involving E. littorale.  相似文献
