Under the right conditions, bromine trifluoride can be a useful tool for generating new types of reactions and compounds. Thus, tris(methylthio)alkyl derivatives, easily prepared from the corresponding alkyl bromides, were converted to the corresponding RCHBrCF2SMe or RCHBrCF3 compounds. The bromine atom, however, could be easily reduced forming eventually R'CF2SMe or R'CF3. If desired, the bromine atom can serve as an entry for constructing terminal difluoroolefins.  相似文献

Electrospinning of fibers composed of poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT), fullerene derivative, phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM), and single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) is reported. While of great promise for photovoltaic applications, morphological control of functional structures is a great challenge for most processing methods. It is demonstrated that the use of a tailor‐made block‐copolymer for dispersion of individual SWNT enables the preparation of stable dispersions of individual tubes that may be further cospun from chloroform solutions with PCBM and P3HT into submicron fibers. The block copolymer used to mediate the colloidal and interfacial interactions in the combined system enables the spinning of centimeters long and uniform fibers. Structural characterization indicates a high degree of ordering and alignment within the fibers and absorption and quenching of the photoluminescence indicate significant interactions among the components. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An efficient transformation of the sulfur atoms to the sulfonyl group in a range of thienopyrroles was achieved by using the HOF·CH(3)CN complex. Mild conditions, high yields, and easy purification are the main features of this novel route. Star-shaped oligothiophenes are promising materials for applications in the organic electronics field. For the first time, a range of star-oligothiophenes was oxidized to the corresponding all-S,S-dioxides by using the HOF·CH(3)CN complex. These materials exhibit considerable thermal stability and red-shift absorptions in the UV/vis relative to the parent compounds.  相似文献

A novel synthesis of different aromatic and heteroaromatic difluorodioxole derivatives has been developed. The starting materials were catechols, which, after treatment with thiophosgene, formed at 0 °C the respective thiodioxoles. The latter were reacted for a short time with commercially available bromine trifluoride, producing potentially biologically important difluoroaryldioxoles in moderate to high yields.  相似文献
