Similarities and differences in vibrational behavior of two guitars having a symmetric Torres bracing pattern and an asymmetric pattern forming a lattice on a soundboard are investigated by means of the modal analysis technique and laser Doppler vibrometry (LDV) measurements. Instruments are investigated before and after a bridge and strings assembling (i.e., they are incomplete or complete). The bracing pattern and the absence/presence of the bridge and strings have some effect on modal frequencies and mode shapes. The bracing pattern does not affect the sequence of at least first three low frequency mode shapes of incomplete/complete instruments but affects their modal frequencies. Depending on frequency, the bridge behaves either as a rigid or a flexible structure.  相似文献

In this Letter we study a novel effect of a hidden sector coupling to the standard model Higgs boson: an enhancement of the Higgs pair production cross section near threshold due to bound state effects. After summing the ladder contributions of the hidden sector to the effective ggHH coupling, we find the amplitude for gluon-gluon scattering via a Higgs loop. We relate this amplitude to the double Higgs production cross section via the optical theorem. We find that enhancements of the O(100) for the partonic cross section near the threshold region can be obtained for a hidden sector strongly coupled to the Higgs boson. The corresponding cross section at the LHC can be as large as O(10) times the SM result for extreme values of the coupling. The detection of such an effect could in principle lead to important information about the hidden sector.  相似文献

Dinormal graphs     
A novel type of graph is described, where the graph G has an orientation \({\stackrel{\rightarrow}G}\) and reverse orientation \({\stackrel{\leftarrow}G}\) such that \({G={\stackrel{\rightarrow}G\cup\stackrel{\leftarrow}G}}\) and the adjacency matrices \({A(\stackrel{\rightarrow}G)}\) and \({A(\stackrel{\leftarrow}G)}\) of \({\stackrel{\rightarrow}G}\) and \({\stackrel{\leftarrow}G}\) commute. Some general characterization and examples are given, e.g., for toroidal graphs.  相似文献

We define a phased graph G to yield an adjacency matrix A(G) having general magnitude-1 values in the same locations as the usual unphased case, but subject to the restriction that A be Hermitian. Some characteristics of such phased graphs and their eigenspectra are contemplated and to some extent described. A simple, low cost, fast and sensitive method is reported for the determination of the four endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) 4-tert-butylphenol, 4-tert-octylphenol, bisphenol A and 17β-estradiol using pentafluoropyridine as the derivatizing reagent. These EDCs were determined by simultaneous extraction and derivatization in a solid phase analytical derivatization (SPAD) technique without the aid of any phase transfer catalyst (PTC) or an ion-pair mechanism. Recoveries of analytes as their tetrafluoropyridyl derivatives from water ranged from 71% for 4-tert-butylphenol to 106% for 17β-estradiol; from urine they ranged from 61% for 17β-estradiol to 91% for 4-tert-octylphenol; and from humic acids solution the ranged from 59% for 17β-estradiol to 104% for 4-tert-octylphenol in humic acid solutions. Calibration curves were constructed from a matrix of human male urine in the range 1-40 ng/mL and had coefficients of correlation greater than 0.99. For 4-tert-butylphenol, bisphenol A and 17β-estradiol the limits of quantitation were 5 ng/mL and for 4-tert-octylphenol it was 1 ng/mL. This method was applied to determine EDCs and detected 4-tert-octylphenol, bisphenol A and 17β-estradiol in concentrations comparable to those found in the literature. The method offers advantages in speed of analysis, reduced reagent and specificity of derivatization.  相似文献
