The uranyl tellurite mineral moctezumite, Pb(UO2)(TeO3)2, was studied by Raman spectroscopy and complemented with infrared spectroscopy. The presence of the stretching and bending vibrations of uranyl (UO2)2+ and tellurite (TeO3)2− ions was inferred, and the observed bands were assigned to uranyl and tellurite units vibrations. U O bond lengths calculated from the spectra with two empirical relations are close to those inferred from the X‐ray single‐crystal structure of moctezumite. Two hydrated hydroxy magnesium carbonate minerals brugnatellite and coalingite with a hydrotalcite‐like structure were studied by Raman spectroscopy. Intense bands are observed at 1094 cm−1 for brugnatellite and at 1093 cm−1 for coalingite attributed to the CO32−ν1 symmetric stretching mode. Additional low intensity bands are observed at 1064 cm−1. The existence of two symmetric stretching modes is accounted for in terms of different anion structural arrangements. Very low intensity bands at 1377 and 1451 cm−1 are observed for brugnatellite, and the Raman spectrum of coalingite displays two bands at 1420 and 1465 cm−1 attributed to the (CO3)2−ν3 antisymmetric stretching modes. Very low intensity bands at 792 cm−1 for brugnatellite and 797 cm−1 for coalingite are assigned to the CO32− out‐of‐plane bend (ν2). X‐ray diffraction studies by other researchers have shown that these minerals are disordered. This is reflected in the difficulty of obtaining Raman spectra of reasonable quality and explains why the Raman spectra of these minerals have not been previously or sufficiently described. Bismuth ferrite is doped with a dilute concentration of cobalt, BiFe1XCoXO3BiFe1XCoXO3; X=0, 0.01, 0.02 is prepared by sol-gel auto combustion technique. X-ray diffraction data refined via Reitveld method shows single phase and shrinkage in cell volume for Co doped BiFeO3. Various magnetic ground states viz. superparamagnetic, glassy antiferromagnetic and glassy ferrimagnetic behavior is observed for X=0, 0.01, 0.02, respectively. A first-order magnetic transition is observed in the Arrott plot data of cobalt doped BiFeO3. Possibility of thermally induced magnetic transition is also seen in the magnetization data of cobalt doped BiFeO3. A model based on the existing spinoidal cyclic arrangement of spins is proposed to explain the observed data. Finally, a very dilute concentration of Co+3Co+3 in BiFeO3 is found sufficient to tailor the magnetic properties.  相似文献

The influence of the degree of envelope modulation and periodicity on the loudness and effectiveness of sounds as forward maskers was investigated. In the first experiment, listeners matched the loudness of complex tones and noise. The tones had a fundamental frequency (F0) of 62.5 or 250 Hz and were filtered into a frequency range from the 10th harmonic to 5000 Hz. The Gaussian noise was filtered in the same way. The components of the complex tones were added either in cosine phase (CPH), giving a large crest factor, or in random phase (RPH), giving a smaller crest factor. For each F0, subjects matched the loudness between all possible stimulus pairs. Six different levels of the fixed stimulus were used, ranging from about 30 dB SPL to about 80 dB SPL in 10-dB steps. Results showed that, at a given overall level, the CPH and the RPH tones were louder than the noise, and that the CPH tone was louder than the RPH tone. The difference in loudness was larger at medium than at low levels and was only slightly reduced by the addition of a noise intended to mask combination tones. The differences in loudness were slightly smaller for the higher than for the lower F0. In the second experiment, the stimuli with the lower F0s were used as forward maskers of a 20-ms sinusoid, presented at various frequencies within the spectral range of the maskers. Results showed that the CPH tone was the least effective forward masker, even though it was the loudest. The differences in effectiveness as forward maskers depended on masker level and signal frequency; in order to produce equal masking, the level of the CPH tone had to be up to 35 dB above that of the RPH tone and the noise. The implications of these results for models of loudness are discussed and a model is presented based on neural activity patterns in the auditory nerve; this predicts the general pattern of loudness matches. It is suggested that the effects observed in the experiments may have been influenced by two factors: cochlear compression and suppression.  相似文献

Angular distributions of elastic scattering and inelastic scattering from 2+1 state are measured for 16O+142,144,146Nd systems at several energies in the vicinity of the Coulomb barrier. The angular distributions are systematically analyzed in coupled channel framework. Renormalized double folded real optical and coupling potentials with DDM3Y interaction have been used in the calculation. Relevant nuclear densities needed to generate the potentials are derived from shell model wavefunctions. A truncated shell model calculation has been performed and the calculated energy levels are compared with the experimental ones. To simulate the absorption, a ‘hybrid’ approach is adopted. The contribution to the imaginary potential of couplings to the inelastic channels, other than the 2+1 target excitation channel, is calculated in the Feshbach formalism. This calculated imaginary potential along with a short ranged volume Woods–Saxon potential to simulate the absorption in fusion channel reproduces the angular distributions for 16O+146Nd quite well. But for 16O+142,144Nd systems additional surface absorption is found to be necessary to fit the angular distribution data. The variations of this additional absorption term with incident energy and the mass of the target are explored.  相似文献

We consider a modification of the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations and other hydrodynamical evolution equations with space-periodic initial conditions in which the usual Laplacian of the dissipation operator is replaced by an operator whose Fourier symbol grows exponentially as e|k|/kd{{{\rm e}^{|k|/k_{\rm d}}}} at high wavenumbers |k|. Using estimates in suitable classes of analytic functions, we show that the solutions with initially finite energy become immediately entire in the space variables and that the Fourier coefficients decay faster than e-C(k/kd) ln(|k|/kd){{{\rm e}^{-C(k/k_{\rm d})\,{\rm ln}(|k|/k_{\rm d})}}} for any C < 1/(2 ln 2). The same result holds for the one-dimensional Burgers equation with exponential dissipation but can be improved: heuristic arguments and very precise simulations, analyzed by the method of asymptotic extrapolation of van der Hoeven, indicate that the leading-order asymptotics is precisely of the above form with C = C * = 1/ ln 2. The same behavior with a universal constant C * is conjectured for the Navier–Stokes equations with exponential dissipation in any space dimension. This universality prevents the strong growth of intermittency in the far dissipation range which is obtained for ordinary Navier–Stokes turbulence. Possible applications to improved spectral simulations are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Because of the long propagation distances, Computational Aeroacoustics schemes must propagate the waves at the correct wave speeds and lower the isotropy error as much as possible. The spatial differencing schemes are most frequently analyzed and optimized for one-dimensional test cases. Therefore, in multidimensional problems such optimized schemes may not have isotropic behavior. In this work, optimized finite difference schemes for multidimensional Computational Aeroacoustics are derived which are designed to have improved isotropy compared to existing schemes. The derivation is performed based on both Taylor series expansion and Fourier analysis. Various explicit centered finite difference schemes and the associated boundary stencils have been derived and analyzed. The isotropy corrector factor, a parameter of the schemes, can be determined by minimizing the integrated error between the phase or group velocities on different spatial directions. The order of accuracy of the optimized schemes is the same as that of the classical schemes, the advantage being in reducing the isotropy error. The present schemes are restricted to equally-spaced Cartesian grids, so the generalized curvilinear transformation method and Cartesian grid methods are good candidates. The optimized schemes are tested by solving various multidimensional problems of Aeroacoustics.  相似文献

The Fermilab KTeV experiment has searched for lepton-flavor-violating decays of the K(L) meson in three decay modes. We observe no events in the signal region for any of the modes studied, and we set the following upper limits for their branching ratios at the 90% C.L.: BR(K(L) --> pi(0) micro(+/-) e(-/+)) <7.6 x 10(-11); BR(K(L) --> pi(0)pi(0) micro(+/-) e(-/+)) <1.7 x 10(-10); BR(pi(0) --> micro(+/-) e(-/+)) <3.6 x 10(-10). This result represents a factor of 82 improvement in the branching ratio limit for K(L) --> pi(0) micro(+/-) e(-/+) and is the first reported limit for K(L) --> pi(0)pi(0) micro(+/-) e(-/+).  相似文献
