A phenomenological theory of salt-induced Hofmeister phenomena is presented, based on a relation between protein solubility in salt solutions and protein-water interfacial tension. As a generalization of previous treatments, it implies that both kosmotropic salting out and chaotropic salting in are manifested via salt-induced changes of the hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties of protein-water interfaces. The theory is applied to describe the salt-dependent free energy profiles of proteins as a function of their water-exposed surface area. On this basis, three classes of protein conformations have been distinguished, and their existence experimentally demonstrated using the examples of bacteriorhodopsin and myoglobin. The experimental results support the ability of the new formalism to account for the diverse manifestations of salt effects on protein conformation, dynamics, and stability, and to resolve the puzzle of chaotropes stabilizing certain proteins (and other anomalies). It is also shown that the relation between interfacial tension and protein structural stability is straightforwardly linked to protein conformational fluctuations, providing a keystone for the microscopic interpretation of Hofmeister effects. Implications of the results concerning the use of Hofmeister effects in the experimental study of protein function are discussed.  相似文献

以水溶性聚合物为保护剂,采用化学还原法制备了银纳米粒子,分别利用透射电子显微镜、紫外可见光谱、同步光散射光谱等手段对其进行了表征,并探索了制备银纳米粒子的最佳实验条件。通过将银纳米粒子-聚合物溶液进行脱水,得到含有银纳米粒子的固态聚合物膜。将固态聚合物膜重新溶解于水,其水溶液的紫外可见光谱与脱水前的溶液进行了比较,发现两者性质并无明显差异。因此,将银纳米粒子分散固定在聚合物膜中是一种崭新而有效的银纳米粒子制备和存储方法。  相似文献

用强子和弦级联模型,JPCIAE及相应的Monte Carlo事例产生器,研究相对论性核–核碰撞中有限快度区间内正负荷电粒子比单事例起伏与能量、中心度、共振态衰变及快度间隔的关系.JPCIAE模型能够较好地符合CERN/SPS能区Pb+Pb碰撞的实验结果.本文还用此模型预言了RHIC能区Au+Au碰撞和ALICE能区Pb+Pb碰撞中的正负荷电粒子比单事例起伏.可以看出碰撞能量、中心度、共振态衰变及快度间隔对正负荷电粒子比单事例起伏的影响都不大.  相似文献

We calculate the exact Kohn-Sham potential that describes, within time-dependent density-functional theory, the propagation of an electron quasiparticle wave packet of nonzero crystal momentum added to a ground-state model semiconductor. The potential is observed to have a highly nonlocal functional dependence on the charge density, in both space and time, giving rise to features entirely lacking in local or adiabatic approximations. The dependence of the nonequilibrium part of the Kohn-Sham electric field on the local current and charge density is identified as a key element of the correct Kohn-Sham functional.  相似文献

A phenomenological Landau theory has been used to explain magnetic field-driven polarization flop in TbMnO 3. The Néel wall-like magnetic structure in spiral multiferroics induces a space-dependent internal magnetic field which exerts a torque on spins to rotate bc-spiral to ab-spiral. The external magnetic field is argued to be competing with easy axis anisotropy and the system stabilizes when anisotropy is minimum. With the help of Landau free energy with DM magnetoelectric coupling and a general ansatz for magnetization, the phenomenon of polarization flop has been explained. Relation between Tflop and critical magnetic field has been established and found to be in good agreement with the experiment. This could be an indication that anisotropy of the system is temperature- and magnetic field-dependent.  相似文献

The Incomplete-Fusion-nagmentation Model has been used to reproduce nicely the experimental evidence of liquid-gas phase transition probed in the reaction of Au + Au at 600A MeV. The analysis of the relative yields of decay modes for the projectile remnant as a function of bound> shows clearly the competition and transformation processes of various decay modes of projectile remnant with decreasing of bound>. The agreement between theoretical and experimental results for the anaJysis of relative yield of decay modes indicates that the experimental evidence of liquid-gas phase transition is composed of the decay mode transformations.  相似文献

Reactions of various five-and six-membered C-methylheterocycles with hot thionyl chloride gave chlorothio intermediates which were not characterized but which gave 1,2,4-thiadiazole derivatives when reacted with amidines and gave thioamides when reacted with amines. Catalytic reduction of 2-nitrofurans 2 gives low yields of 2-aminofurans 1 which are not isolated but are trapped using ethyl ethoxymethylenecyanoacetate ( 6 ) or ethoxymethylenemalononitrile ( 7 ). In these reactions 2-aminofuran ( 1a ) behaves like a dieneamine with substitution occurring at position 5 of the ring. When the 5-position is substituted reaction takes place at position 3 and thermal cyclisation of the product gives furo-[2,3-b]pyridine derivatives 16 . An AM1 calculation of the properties of 2-aminofuran ( 1a ) is reported and the results are consistent with observed properties.  相似文献
