Preconcentration of Cd(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) in saline matrices on Amberlite XAD-4 resins coated with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) and piperidine dithiocarbamate (pipDTC) and subsequent determination by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry were studied. Parameters such as effect of pH, effect of HNO(3) concentration on elution of metals from resin were studied. The results show that Amberlite XAD-4 coated with APDC was more efficient in the recovery of metal ions compared with Amberlite XAD-4 coated with pipDTC, in the concentration range of 0.1-200 mug l(-1), for 1 g of Amberlite XAD-4 coated resin. The detection limits for Cd(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II) are 0.1, 0.4, 0.3, 0.4, 0.6, 0.5 mug l(-1), respectively, for resin coated with APDC and 0.7, 1.0, 0.8, 0.9, 1.7 and 1.2 mug l(-1) for resin coated with pipDTC. The effect of diverse ions on the determination of aforesaid metals was studied. The method was applied for the determination of trace metal ions in artificial sea water and natural water samples. The effect of the quantity of sodium metasilicate and conditioning time in one set of experiments, and the effect of the solution concentration of sodium metasilicate, added at the same dosage and conditioning time to coal slurry, on flotability of a typical Indian coal in another set of experiments are studied. Two sets of 32 full factorial experiments are carried out to assess the effects of the aforementioned variables. The generated data are analyzed quantitatively and explained qualitatively. At 0.1% (w/v) solution concentration of solution added (0.02 g/kg) and 8 min conditioning time, sodium metasilicate acted as activator for kaolinite, whereas at 1.0% (w/v) solution concentration (0.2 g/kg), it acted as dispersant. The best observed condition of depressant is obtained at an added concentration of 10.0% (w/v, 0.2 g/kg) and 8 min conditioning time. The desired effect of the sodium metasilicate can be achieved by controlling its quantity, solution concentration added, and conditioning time.  相似文献

The compound 3-hydroxy-6-(4′-nitro)phenylazopyridine (1) was observed to incorporate several organic solvents of crystallisation, forming stable clathrates. These clathrates decompose upon heating and the host material is chemically transformed. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies on the ethanol clathrate lead to a reasonable model for the host structure. But the guest molecules are severely disordered. Alternatively, the compound forms twinned crystals. The chemically closely related compound2 does not form clathrates.  相似文献

Concurrent construction of five and six membered fused N-heretocyclic ring was achieved via a conceptually new three-component reaction affording 6,6a-dihydroisoindolo[2,1-a]quinazoline-5,11-diones as novel inhibitors of TNF-αin vitro. Composite films of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT)‐coated over functionalized multiwalled coiled and linear carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been fabricated by a simple oxidative electropolymerization route. The nanotubular morphology of the polymer–CNT composite is responsible for the lower charge transfer impedance, lower internal resistance, and superior capacitive response in comparison to that shown by the control PEDOT film doped by trifluoromethanesulfonate ions. This facile electrochemistry exhibited by the PEDOT–CNT composite film ensues in a remarkably high coloration efficiency of 367 cm2 · C−1 at 550 nm, hitherto unrealized for PEDOT; thus demonstrating the huge potential the PEDOT–CNT composite film has as cathode for the entire spectrum of electrochromic devices.

Two modified β‐cyclodextrins, H‐2 and H‐3 , having a flexible appended moiety were studied for the chiral discrimination of the enantiomers of various amino acids by means of fluorescence as signaling option. These hosts quenched the fluorescence intensities of amino acids upon binding. The d‐ enantiomers were better recognized by these hosts. The association constants (Ks) and enantioselectivity factors (α) of the host?guest complexes were calculated.  相似文献

Optical and physical properties of Ni2+ doped 20ZnO+xLi2O+(30-x)Na2O+50B2O3 (5≤x≤25) glasses are carried out at room temperature. Powder XRD pattern of all the glass samples confirms the amorphous nature. Several physical parameters are evaluated for all the glasses with respect to the composition. The optical absorption spectra confirm the site symmetry of the Ni2+ doped glasses are near octahedral. Crystal field and inter-electronic repulsion parameters are also evaluated. It is interesting to observe that the optical band gap and Urbach energies exhibit the mixed alkali effect. The FT-IR spectral investigations of Ni2+ doped glasses exhibit characteristic vibrations of BO3 and BO4 units.  相似文献

The effect of oxidation pretreatment temperature(500 ~ 1 000 ℃) on the catalytic activity of Kovar applied on hydrocarbon CO2reforming was examined. Catalytic performance evaluation using tetradecane at 800 ℃ with 70 μmol/s CO2revealed 700 and 1 000 ℃ as the best pre-oxidation temperature in producing CO and H2,respectively. XRD and SEM-EDX analyses showed that a separate metal oxide layer composed of iron oxide(Fe2O3and F3O4),nickel,cobalt,and possibly their respective oxides started to form when oxidation was conducted at 700 ℃ or higher.The presence of iron enhanced the stability of nickel in the structure while the compact structure of Fe3O4resulted into the formation of a thick and rigid metal oxide layer on the surface of the Kovar tube. The strong physical bond between the metal oxide layer and Kovar tube provided the catalyst good mechanical strength and consequently good catalytic activity.  相似文献
