Experimental investigation on the sensible effectiveness of LiCl wheel is reported. The measurements were made for balanced flow (C* = 1) for a wide range of rotational speed 0–10 rpm, regeneration temperature of 50–70°C and airflow rate 150–550 kg/h. The results revealed that the operation rotational speed for LiCl wheel is about 5 rpm which is significantly lower that for Silica gel wheel. It is also found that the sensible effectiveness is independent of the regeneration temperature. The experimental results are also fitted to the existing correlation of Simonson et al. (ASHRAE Trans 106(1):301–310, 2000). For the range of the applicability of the correlation, most of the experimental data fit the correlation within an error band of ±5%.  相似文献

In this preliminary report, benign (n=8) and malignant (n=5) prostate tissues, in vitro, have been taken through autofluorescence spectroscopy. Employing Stokes' shift spectra and fluorescence emission spectra as tools of analysis, we were able to discriminate the two sets of tissues with sensitivity and specificity in excess of 85%. When the excised prostate chips were scanned with a spatial resolution of 1 mm, the epicenter of malignancy also could be delineated.  相似文献

In this paper, we report results of Fluorescence Emission Spectra (FES) and Stokes Shift Spectra (SSS) of 19 cancer tissue of invasive ductal carcinoma of different grades in comparison with normal breast tissues (obtained away from tumor regions). We were able to get distinct differences in the spectral features of normal and malignant tissues in terms of the ratios of concentrations of biomolecules like tryptophan, collagen and NADH. The sensitivity and specificity were in the range of 75%. What was all the more important was the parallelism in the spectral features of normal and malignant breast tissue pieces of above set of subjects. The objective of our research is to evolve one such protocol and the first step is the spectral characterization of in vitro optical analyses of excised tumor tissues.  相似文献

In this work, we study an elliptic differential equation set in three habitats with skewness boundary conditions at the interfaces. It represents the linear stationary case of dispersal problems of population dynamics which incorporate responses at interfaces between the habitats. Existence, uniqueness and regularity of the solution of these problems are obtained in Hölder spaces under necessary and sufficient conditions on the data. Our techniques are based on the semigroup theory, the fractional powers of linear operators, the \(H^{\infty }\) functional calculus for sectorial operators in Banach spaces and some properties of real interpolation spaces.  相似文献

Following the achievement of superhydrophobicity which prevents water adhesion on a surface, superomniphobicity extends this high repellency property to a wide range of liquids, including oils, solvents, and other low surface energy liquids. Recent theoretical approaches have yield to specific microstructures design criterion to achieve such surfaces, leading to superomniphobic structured silicon substrate. To transfer this technology on a flexible substrate, we use a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) molding process followed by surface chemical modification. It results in so-called sticky superomniphobic surfaces, exhibiting large apparent contact angles (>150°) along with large contact angle hysteresis (>10°). We then focus on the modified Cassie equation, considering the 1D aspect of wetting, to explain the behavior of droplets on these surfaces and compare experimental data to previous works to confirm the validity of this model.  相似文献

The calculation of the structural, mechanical and thermodynamic properties of the alkali hydrides XH (X?=?K, Rb and Cs) in rock-salt (RS), cesium chloride (CsCl), zinc-blende (ZB) and wurtzite (WZ) phases are done by using the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method within the frame work of the density functional theory (DFT) as implemented in the WIEN2K code. The Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof generalized gradient approximation (PBE-GGA) was used for the exchange-correlation potential.The elastic constants and their related properties, as well as the thermodynamic properties, were obtained by using the IRelast package. The calculated elastic constants for the alkali hydrides, with the four structures RS, CsCl, ZB and WZ, at ambient pressure are mechanically stable. The elastic constants and their related properties in the RS structure are changeable with increasing pressure. Elastic constants, bulk modulus, shear modulus (stiffness) and Debye temperatures of these compounds are decreased as going from K to Cs in the periodic table. These compounds in the RS structure are mechanically stronger at ambient conditions.  相似文献

The octahedral molybdenum cluster‐based compound, Cs2Mo6Bri8Bra6 was immobilized on graphene oxide (GO) by using a facile approach. High resolution transmission electron microscopy results revealed that molybdenum clusters were uniformly distributed on the GO nanosheets. Cs2Mo6Bri8Bra6 was attached to the GO support via chemical interaction between apical ligands of Mo6Bri8Bra6 cluster units and oxygen functionalities of GO, as revealed by XPS studies. The developed material was used for the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate by reduction of carbon dioxide. The synthesized catalyst, that is, GO–Cs2Mo6Bri8Brax, exhibited higher catalytic efficiency than its homogeneous analogue without using dehydrating agent. The catalyst was found to be efficiently recyclable without significant loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

The sorption and transport properties of CO2 in miscible PS/PVME blends at 20°C are reported as a function of pressure from 1 to 15 atm. The complex shape of isotherms for glassy blends and the concentration-dependent diffusion coefficient for rubbery blends reveal a plasticization by sorbed CO2. The significant depression in Tg has to be taken into account in the analysis of the sorption data. Diffusion coefficient for CO2 passes through a minimum when plotted against the blend composition. Such a behavior can be quantitatively related to the negative volume mixing of the PS/PVME system in the framework of the theories based on unoccupied volume. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
