We show that the semi-leptonic decay can be used as a source of information for two-pion distribution amplitudes. The connection between these amplitudes and the B-meson decay width is achieved by the light cone sum rule method. We report here the effect of γ-irradiation on the particle size and size distribution dependent spectroscopic and magneto-optic properties of ferrofluids, synthesized by a co-precipitation method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) study exhibits magnetite (Fe3O4) phase of the particles while electron microscopic and dynamic light scattering (DLS) studies have predicted particle growth upon γ-irradiation. Further, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy studies ensured that no dissociation has occurred due to irradiation effect. As a consequence of magneto-optic behavior reflected in the Faraday rotation (FR) measurement, the Verdet constant increased from a value of 0.64×10−2 for the pristine sample to 5.6×10−2 deg/Gauss-cm for the sample irradiated with the highest dose (2.635 kGy). The substantial enhancement in the FR is assigned to the improvement in associated chaining effect owing to adequate particle growth where an increased stoichiometry variation of Fe2+/Fe3+ is assured.  相似文献

Electrical bistability in electrostatic assemblies of CdSe nanoparticles   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We report electrical bistability in electrostatic assembly of CdSe nanoparticles. We obtained thin films of the nanoparticles via layer-by-layer electrostatic assembly technique, which provided a nanoscale control to tune the thickness. Devices based on such thin films exhibit electrical bistability along with memory phenomenon. The bistability is due to charge confinement in the nanoparticles. Conduction mechanism changes from an injection-dominated to a bulk one during switching from a low- to a high-conducting state. Additionally, results from impedance spectroscopy show that the dielectric constant of the material increases during the transition. Both random-access and read-only memory applications are observed in these systems.  相似文献

Measurements of the local susceptibility and 3d spin relaxation rate for single Fe impurities embedded in a nanocrystalline Nb host indicates the emergence of a local moment on Fe at and below a critical size of 11?nm. Our ab?initio electronic structure calculations show that the moment formation occurs due to Stoner enhancement arising from a size dependent lattice expansion and a consequent shift in the Fermi level. We also show that a size-induced positive host spin polarization of the Nb-4d band electrons strongly influences the fluctuation rate of the Fe moment.  相似文献

Root release of organic compounds and rate of the vascular sap flow are important for understanding the nutrient and the source-sink dynamics in plants, however, their determination is procedurally cumbersome and time consuming. We report here a simple method involving 14C labeling for rapid and reliable measurement of root exudates and vascular sap flow rate in a variable groundnut population developed through seed gamma irradiation using a cobalt source (60Co). An experimental hypothesis that a higher 14C level in the vascular sap would indicate a higher root release of carbon by the roots into the rhizosphere was verified.  相似文献

Three new 2-component unsubstituted ( 4P ), diiodo- ( 5P ), and dibromo- ( 6P ) distyryl-BODIPY-bridged cyclotriphosphazene dimers were designed and synthesized. The newly synthesized BODIPY-cyclotriphosphazene systems were characterized by 1 H, 13 C, and 31 P NMR spectroscopy. The photophysical properties of the distryl-BODIPYs (4–6) and BODIPY-cyclotriphosphazene dyads ( 4P – 6P ) were studied by UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence emission spectroscopy. In these derivatives, the bino-type cyclotriphosphazene derivative bearing unsubstituted BODIPY unit 4P exhibited high fluorescence and no singlet oxygen generation due to the lack of spin converter. The attachment of heavy atoms (iodine and bromine) enabled the production of singlet oxygen. The bino-type BODIPY-cyclotriphosphazenes ( 5P and 6P ) were also used as triplet photosensitizers in the photooxidation of 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran to endoperoxide via generation of the singlet oxygen in dichloromethane. The singlet oxygen production of these compounds was also investigated via a direct method and produced a singlet oxygen phosphorescence peak at 1270 nm.  相似文献

Low energy Ar+-ion irradiation at normal incidence is used to fabricate nanostructured GaAs surface. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) images reveal the formation of GaAs surface nanodots with an average size of about 25-35 nm. The swelling of irradiated surface is observed at a higher energy due to the ion beam-induced porosity in the amorphized GaAs surface. Micro-Raman scattering shows a gradual increase in the downward shift and line shape broadening of optical phonon modes from the nanostructured GaAs prepared with increasing ion dose and beam energy. The rapid broadening of the transverse-optical phonon mode at a higher energy and dose represents the onset of plastic deformation of the irradiated surface. Furthermore, the influence of rapid thermal annealing (RTA) shows a reverse LO and TO phonon peakshift and the change in the lineshape due to reduction of the amorphous disorder.  相似文献

The magnetic, electronic, and Mo?ssbauer spectral properties of [Fe(2)L(μ-OAc)(2)]ClO(4), 1, where L is the dianion of the tetraimino-diphenolate macrocyclic ligand, H(2)L, indicate that 1 is a class III mixed valence iron(II∕III) complex with an electron that is fully delocalized between two crystallographically inequivalent iron sites to yield a [Fe(2)](V) cationic configuration with a S(t) = 9∕2 ground state. Fits of the dc magnetic susceptibility between 2 and 300 K and of the isofield variable-temperature magnetization of 1 yield an isotropic magnetic exchange parameter, J, of -32(2) cm(-1) for an electron transfer parameter, B, of 950 cm(-1), a zero-field uniaxial D(9∕2) parameter of -0.9(1) cm(-1), and g = 1.95(5). In agreement with the presence of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, ac susceptibility measurements reveal that 1 is a single-molecule magnet at low temperature with a single molecule magnetic effective relaxation barrier, U(eff), of 9.8 cm(-1). At 5.25 K the Mo?ssbauer spectra of 1 exhibit two spectral components, assigned to the two crystallographically inequivalent iron sites with a static effective hyperfine field; as the temperature increases from 7 to 310 K, the spectra exhibit increasingly rapid relaxation of the hyperfine field on the iron-57 Larmor precession time of 5 × 10(-8) s. A fit of the temperature dependence of the average effective hyperfine field yields |D(9∕2)| = 0.9 cm(-1). An Arrhenius plot of the logarithm of the relaxation frequency between 5 and 85 K yields a relaxation barrier of 17 cm(-1).  相似文献
