The energy density method is used to study the magic character of neutron and proton numbers corresponding to N > 126 and Z > 82. It is found that N = 184 and N = 228 are the next neutron magic numbers. For the protons, however, no sign of a shell closure appears for 82 < Z ? 130. Asymmetries and differential cross sections have been measured for elastic and inelastic scattering of 24.5 MeV polarized protons from the spherical nucleus 148Sm. The comparison with the results of an asymmetry measurement at the same proton energy on the rotational nucleus 152Sm shows significant differences for the first 2+ states. A coupled-channels analysis for the first 2+ and 3− states in 148Sm and for the 2+ and 4+ states of the ground-state rotational band in 152Sm fits the experimental data very well. 相似文献

Differential elastic cross sections and polarizations are calculated in a multiple-scattering formalism for proton-nucleus scattering at 1 GeV incident energy. The calculations include Coulomb and spin effects. Corrections to the Glauber model are studied. It is shown that for momentum transfer up to 2.0–2.5 fm?1 the reaction mechanism can be taken with confidence. Consequently, fits to the experimental data over this limited range in q can be considered to extract nuclear structure information. In the present case, use has been made of nuclear densities arising from self-consistent calculations. The calculations are compared with experimental data. 相似文献

We demonstrate coherent beam combining of two femtosecond fiber chirped-pulse amplifiers seeded by a common oscillator. Using a feedback loop based on an electro-optic phase modulator, an average power of 7.2?W before compression is obtained with a combining efficiency of 90%. The spatial and temporal qualities of the oscillator are retained, with a recombined pulse width of 325?fs.
