The TEXONO-CDEX Collaboration (Taiwan experiment on neutrino?CChina dark matter experiment) explores high-purity germanium (HPGe) detection technology to develop a sub-keV threshold detector for pursuing studies on low mass weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs), properties of neutrino and the possibilities of neutrino-nucleus coherent scattering observation. This article will introduce the facilities of newly established China Jing-Ping Underground Laboratory (CJPL), preliminary result of cosmic ray background studies at CJPL, the dark matter studies pursued at Kuo-Sheng Neutrino Laboratory (KSNL) and research efforts to accomplish our physics goals.  相似文献

The problem of the creeping flow through a spherical droplet with a nonhomogenous porous layer in a spherical container has been studied analytically. Attempts have been made to explore the exact periodic and solitary wave solutions of nonlinear reaction diffusion (RD) equation involving cubic–quintic nonlinearity along with time-dependent convection coefficients. Effect of varying model coefficients on the physical parameters of solitary wave solutions is demonstrated. Depending upon the parametric condition, the periodic, double-kink, bell and antikink-type solutions for cubic–quintic nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation are extracted. Microscopy using visible electromagnetic radiation can be used to investigate living cells in various environments. But bright field microscopy only provides two-dimensional (2D) intensity distribution at a single object plane. One of the ways to retrieve object height/thickness information is to employ quantitative phase microscopic (QPM) techniques. Interferometric QPM techniques are widely used for this. Digital holographic microscopy (DHM) is one of the state-of-the-art methods for quantitative three-dimensional (3D) imaging. Usually it is implemented in two-beam geometry, which is prone to mechanical vibrations. But to study dynamics of objects like red blood cells, one needs temporal stability much better than the fluctuations of the object, which the two-beam geometry fails to deliver. One way to overcome this hurdle is to use self-referencing techniques, in which a portion of the object beam will act as the reference beam. Here the development of self-referencing QPM techniques is described along with the results.  相似文献

The kinetics of Ru(III)‐catalyzed and Hg(II)‐co‐catalyzed oxidation of D‐glucose (Glc) and cellobiose (Cel) by N‐bromoacetamide (NBA) in the presence of perchloric acid at 40 °C have been investigated. The reactions exhibit the first order kinetics with respect to NBA, but tend towards the zeroth order to higher NBA. The reactions are the first order with respect to Ru(III) and are fractional positive order with respect to [reducing sugar]. Positive effect of Cl? and Hg(OAc)2 on the rate of reaction is also evident in the oxidation of both reducing sugars. A negative effect of variation of H+ and acetamide was observed whereas the ionic strength (µ) of the medium had no influence on the oxidation rate. The rate of reaction decreased with the increase in dielectric constant and this enabled the computation of dAB, the size of the activated complex. Various activation parameters have been evaluated and suitable explanation for the formation of the most reactive activated complex has been given. The main products of the oxidation are the corresponding arabinonic acid and formic acid. HOBr and [RuCl3(H2O)2OH]? were postulated as the reactive species of oxidant and catalyst respectively. A common mechanism, consistent with the kinetic data and supported by the observed effect of ionic strength, dielectric constant and multiple regression analysis, has been proposed. Formation of complex species such as [RuCl3·S·(H2O)OH]? and RuCl3·S·OHgBr·OH during the course of reaction was fully supported by kinetic and spectral evidences.  相似文献

We investigate the influence of dispersion interaction on a variety of thermodynamic properties of discotic nematic liquid crystals at the discotic nematic-isotropic transition. We report calculations for a hard oblate ellipsoidal system, superposed with an attractive interaction represented by dispersion interaction subjected to different external pressures ranging from 1 to 300 bar. We consider a model system (which simulates a discotic nematic liquid crystal) in which molecules are assumed to interact via a pair potential having both repulsive and attractive parts. The repulsion part is represented by a repulsion between hard oblate ellipsoids of revolution and is a short range, rapidly varying potential. The attractive potential, a function of centre of mass distance and relative orientation between two molecules, is represented by dispersion interaction. The properties of the reference system and first order perturbation term are evaluated using a decoupling approximation which decouples orientational from translational degrees of freedom. The inclusion of fourth and sixth rank orientational order parameters in the calculation slightly improves the result. The role of pressure on phase transition parameters has also been studied.  相似文献

In this article, we focus to study about modified objective function approach for multiobjective optimization problem with vanishing constraints. An equivalent η-approximated multiobjective optimization problem is constructed by a modification of the objective function in the original considered optimization problem. Raman spectra of TB10A were recorded in the regions, 925-1000 and 1140-1220cm-1 from room temperature down to 20 K, during cooling and heating cycles. The subtle changes in the spectral features of the bands at 975 and 1195cm-1 at 47 K were attributed to a hitherto unreported stable-metastable phase transition in TB10A. The dynamics of the new phase transition have been explained in terms of splitting of the non-planar mode at 975cm-1 owing to strong intermolecular interaction due to close molecular packing in the low temperature phase. The spectral anomaly of the 975cm-1 band, in terms of variation of relative intensity with respect to temperature, also shows the hysterisis linked with the process of stable-metastable-stable modification in TB10A.  相似文献

Suppose that \(G =\mathbb{S}^1\) acts freely on a finitistic space X whose (mod p) cohomology ring is isomorphic to that of a lens space \(L^{2m-1}(p;q_1,\ldots,q_m)\) or \(\mathbb{S}^1\times \mathbb{C}P^{m-1}\). The mod p index of the action is defined to be the largest integer n such that α n ?≠?0, where \(\alpha \,\epsilon\, H^2(X/G;\mathbb{Z}_p)\) is the nonzero characteristic class of the \(\mathbb{S}^1\)-bundle \(\mathbb{S}^1\hookrightarrow X\rightarrow X/G\). We show that the mod p index of a free action of G on \(\mathbb{S}^1\times \mathbb{C}P^{m-1}\) is p???1, when it is defined. Using this, we obtain a Borsuk–Ulam type theorem for a free G-action on \(\mathbb{S}^1\times \mathbb{C}P^{m-1}\). It is note worthy that the mod p index for free G-actions on the cohomology lens space is not defined.  相似文献

In this paper, coupled Higgs field equation and Hamiltonian amplitude equation are studied using the Lie classical method. Symmetry reductions and exact solutions are reported for Higgs equation and Hamiltonian amplitude equation. We also establish the travelling wave solutions involving parameters of the coupled Higgs equation and Hamiltonian amplitude equation using (G??/G)-expansion method, where G?=?G(??) satisfies a second-order linear ordinary differential equation (ODE). The travelling wave solutions expressed by hyperbolic, trigonometric and the rational functions are obtained.  相似文献
