Synthesis and antitumor activity of a group of diosgenyl glycosides

Using orthogonal protection-deprotection glycosylation strategy, a series of diosgenyl glycosides with same of monosaccharides component but different in sequence were synthesized. The antitumor activity in vitro of synthesized diosgenyl glycosides was evaluated by standard MTT assay. It was observed that diosgenyl glycosides with a rhamnopyranosyl at C2′ of glucopyranosyl residue show potent antitumor activity in vitro.

Sharp photonic Crystal Defect Modes and Their Response to Ultrashort Optical Pulses

Single photonic crystal defects based on an air-bridge structure were fabricated. We obtained sharp defect modes with quality factors higher than 600 and observed their response to ultrashort optical pulses by utilizing two-photon absorption.     

PERIODIC REACTION AND TURBULENCE OF CHEMICAL BRUSSELATOR

In this paper,we discuss the reaction model of tri-molecules and the exi- stence of periodic reaction under certain original density conditions of two ob- jects without diffusion phenomena.We prove that the periodic reaction exhibit some chemical phenomena that violate the second law of thermo-mechanics. Finally,we research similar properties and phenomena concerning Belousov- Zhabotinsky reaction model.

Homogeneous catalytic asymmetric dihydroxylation of olefins induced by an efficient and recoverable polymer‐bound ligand QN–AQN–OPEG‐OMe

A novel polymer‐bound alkaloid ligand QN–AQN–OPEG‐OMe, which was characterized by an anthraquinone core at the 9‐O position of quinine, was synthesized conveniently. It delivered up to 99% ees in the homogeneous catalytic asymmetric dihydroxylation of seven olefins, comparable to that reported for the homogeneous catalyst with free ligand (DHQ)₂AQN. This ligand was recovered almost quantitatively by a simple filtration and reused for five cycles without obvious decreased enantioselectivities and catalytic activities.
