This Communication reports a low-temperature diamond synthesis technique, in which diamonds (10-250 mum) can form at a temperature as low as 440 degrees C by reduction of dense CO2 with metallic Na. The X-ray diffraction pattern of a powder sample shows three reflection peaks, indexed with 111, 220, and 311, corresponding unambiguously to cubic diamond. The Raman spectrum of the product exhibits an intense first-order peak at 1332 cm-1, which is the characteristic signature of the cubic diamond, indicating the formation of well-crystallized diamond. Carbon dioxide is a nontoxic low-energy molecule, abundant on earth. This novel reduction method could allow studies of large-size diamond growth using CO2 as the carbon source. 相似文献

Laser-induced temperature jumps (LITJs) at gold nanoparticle-coated indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes in contact with electrolyte solutions have been measured using temperature-sensitive redox probes and an infrared charge-coupled device. Upon irradiation with 532 nm light, interfacial temperature changes of ca. 20 degrees C were recorded for particle coverages of ca. 1 x 1010 cm-2. In the presence of a redox molecule, LITJ yields open-circuit photovoltages and photocurrents that are proportional to the number of particles on the surface. When ssDNA was used to chemisorb nanoparticles to the ITO surface, solution concentrations as low as 100 fM of target ssDNA-modified nanoparticles could be detected at the electrode surface. 相似文献

We investigate adiabatic evolution of quantum states as governed by the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation and provide examples of applications with a nonlinear tunneling model for Bose-Einstein condensates. Our analysis not only spells out conditions for adiabatic evolution of eigenstates but also characterizes the motion of noneigenstates which cannot be obtained from the former in the absence of the superposition principle. We find that Aharonov-Anandan phases play the role of classical canonical actions and are conserved in the adiabatic evolution of noneigenstates. 相似文献

Big changes in resistivity along with the changing of local structure in some oxide systems, such as high-temperature superconductors and colossal magnetoresistance system, strongly suggest the need of a systematic investigation of their local electronic and atomic structures. In this work we present the high-resolution X-ray emission spectra and the spin-polarized X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy (SPXANES) data at the Mn K-edge in the La(1-x)Sr(x)MnO(3). This experiment is based on a high-resolution large-acceptance crystal analyzer based on Si (111) and optimized for X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. With a spherical bent crystal monochromator, a Mn Kbeta emission spectra with high resolution was obtained with a short collection time and SPXANES spectra of La(1-x)Sr(x)MnO(3) at room temperature were also measured at high temperature. 相似文献

This study investigated the visible-light catalysis mediated by zeolite NaY on the oxidation of dyes with H2O2. The results demonstrated that zeolite NaY acts as a sink for the electron from the photo-excited dye in the heterogeneous catalysis. Furthermore, the electron can effectively activate H2O2 to produce ·OH radical that is a powerful oxidant for the oxidation of dye at room temperature. In this paper, two long chain aliphatic carboxylic acids (oleic acid [OLA] and stearic acid [STA]) are modified with cross-linking molecules (N-2-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl-methyl-dimethoxylsiliane, (AEAPMMS, H(2) N(CH(2))(2)HN(CH(2))(3)SiCH(3)(OCH(3))(2) and 3-aminopropyl-methyl-diethoxylsiliane (APMES, H(2) N(CH(2))(3)SiCH(3)(OC(2)H(5))(2)) resulting in four new kinds of structural molecular bridge OLA (STA)-AEAPMMS (APMES). Subsequently, ternary molecular complex systems with four molecular bridges OLA (STA)-AEAPMMS (APMES) and 2,2-bipyridyl (bipy) of lanthanides (terbium and europium) or zinc ions were assembled, which resulted in four novel kinds of quaternary molecular hybrid materials (named as bipy-Ln (Zn)-OLA (STA)-AEAPMMS (APMES) with strong chemical bonds (N-Ln(Zn)-O coordination bonds and Si-O covalent bonds) after a sol-gel (cohydrolysis and copolycondensation) process of the modified molecular bridges (as structural ligand) with inorganic precursor (tetraethoxysilane, TEOS). And especially bipy behaves as functional ligand to sensitize the luminescence of terbium or europium ions through the effective intramolecular energy transfer process, which gives rise to the characteristic emission of metal ions. A novel complex-assisted hydrothermal route is presented to fabricate ultralong Ag/C nanocables with length ranging from 100 to 180 microm on a large scale, based on the reaction of sulfamic acid silver and salicylic acid. By chemical etching of these Ag/C nanocables, high-quality carbonaceous nanotubes can be obtained at room temperature. Using the as-prepared Ag/C nanocables as templates, a new strategy for introducing guest materials into hollow nanotubes is addressed. We take Ag(2)Se as an example and validate the feasibility of this strategy. All of the products are characterized in detail by multiform techniques: X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform IR, energy-dispersive X-ray analysis, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and high-resolution TEM.
