Photopolymerized Cellulose Acetate/Poly(Acrylic Acid) Semi-IPN Films for Wound Dressing Applications
In this work, semi-IPN films, composed of cellulose acetate(CA) and crosslinked poly(acrylic acid), have been synthesized via benzophenone (BP) induced free radical photo-polymerization of acrylic acid (AAc) in the presence of dissolved cellulose acetate (CA) using N,N’ methylene bisacrylamise (MB) as the crosslinking agent. The mechanical properties were tested for the films having different compositions of MB, CA and AAc in the feed mixtures. The tensile strength (TS) and percent elongation (PE) were found to increase with a concentration of CA in the films, but showed decreasing trends with concentrations of CA in the films. However, with AAc content in the films, the TS increased and PE showed just the opposite trend. The film samples were also studied for water vapor and oxygen permeation studies. The water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) decreased with MB and CA contents, but showed an increasing trend with AAc contents in the films. Finally, a representative sample showed fair antibacterial and antifungal action against E. coli and Aspergillus flavus when studied using the ‘Zone of inhibition method’. 相似文献

Neutral pion transverse momentum spectra were measured in p+C and p+Pb collisions at sqrt[S{NN}]=17.4 GeV at midrapidity (2.3 less than or approximately equal eta{lab} less than or approximately equal 3.0) over the range 0.7 less than or approximately equal p{T} less than or approximately equal 3.5 GeV/c. The spectra are compared to pi{0} spectra measured in Pb+Pb collisions at sqrt[S{NN}]=17.3 GeV in the same experiment. For a wide range of Pb+Pb centralities (N{part} less than or approximately equal 300), the yield of pi{0}'s with p{T} greater than or approximately equal 2 GeV/c is larger than or consistent with the p+C or p+Pb yields scaled with the number of nucleon-nucleon collisions (N{coll}), while for central Pb+Pb collisions with N{part}greater than or approximately equal 350, the pi{0} yield is suppressed. 相似文献

Detailed investigations on structural, electronic, optical and thermoelectric properties of WB and WAlB have been done by using a full-potential linearised augmented plane wave method. Different approximations have been used to treat the exchange–correlation potential. The PBEsol-GGA method is found to be the most suitable for WB and WAlB. The obtained values of the equilibrium structural parameters such as lattice constants, volume and bulk modulus are in good agreement with the available experimental and theoretical data. The results of electronic charge density plots show that WB has a strong covalent bond between B-B and an ionic bond between W-B. In case of WAlB, the distance between any two atoms is more than the corresponding interatomic distance in WB. The band structure and density of states around the fermi level suggest that WB has a metallic nature and WAlB has a semimetal-like character. The optical properties are determined and analysed in detail for the first time. The larger reflectivity in the low-energy region (infrared) indicates that these materials can be used as a coating material to remove solar heating. The effects of temperature on thermoelectric parameters are also studied for the first time. High value power factor and high thermal conductivity suggest that WB and WAlB are potential candidates for thermoelectric technological applications. 相似文献

ODAP (N-oxalyl-L-2,3-diaminopropionic acid) is present in the seeds of grass pea. In this study, variation of total ODAP accumulation in leaves throughout the crop growth starting from 40 days after sowing to maturity, and the distribution pattern of ODAP in different plant parts including the seeds at the mature stage was analyzed. Five grass pea accessions were evaluated for two subsequent growing seasons in one location of ICARDA, Aleppo (Syria). The results found that the rate of accumulation of total ODAP varied during plant development. Increased rates of synthesis were noticed in young leaves of grass pea. The highest total ODAP content in leaves was noted in the early growth stage (40–50 days after sowing). Mean total ODAP content in leaves ranged from 0.17 to 0.96 percent during 2010–2011 and from 0.19 to 1.28 percent during 2011–2012. During maturity, the total ODAP content was lowest in the seeds than in leaves, stems, pod cover, seed coat, and cotyledons. The ranges of total ODAP content were 0.13 (seed)–0.34 (stem), 0.20 (seed)–1.01 (leaf), 0.22 (seed)–0.62 (leaf), 0.21 (seed)–0.66 (leaf), and 0.21 (seed)–0.78 (leaf) percent in B387, B222, B390, Bio-520, and B587 accessions, respectively, during maturity. The results indicated that the rate of accumulation and synthesis of total ODAP varied during the plant lifespan. The lowest total ODAP content of leaves was observed after 130 days of sowing. The lower total ODAP content after the early vegetative stage of grass pea plants makes them suitable as a feed. 相似文献

Silver cluster-based solids have garnered considerable attention owing to their tunable luminescence behavior. While surface modification has enabled the construction of stable silver clusters, controlling interactions among clusters at the molecular level has been challenging due to their tendency to aggregate. Judicious choice of stabilizing ligands becomes pivotal in crafting a desired assembly. However, detailed photophysical behavior as a function of their cluster packing remained unexplored. Here, we modulate the packing pattern of Ag12 clusters by varying the nitrogen-based ligand. CAM-1 formed through coordination of the tritopic linker molecule and NC-1 with monodentate pyridine ligand; established via non-covalent interactions. Both the assemblies show ligand-to-metal-metal charge transfer (LMMCT) based cluster-centered emission band(s). Temperature-dependent photoluminescence spectra exhibit blue shifts at higher temperatures, which is attributed to the extent of the thermal reverse population of the S1 state from the closely spaced T1 state. The difference in the energy gap (ΔEST) dictated by their assemblies played a pivotal role in the way that Ag12 cluster assembly in CAM-1 manifests a wider ΔEST and thus requires higher temperatures for reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) than assembly of NC-1. Such assembly-defined photoluminescence properties underscore the potential toolkit to design new cluster- assemblies with tailored optoelectronic properties. 相似文献
