Differently substituted cyclopropylcarbinols underwent ring cleavage with easily accessible cyanuric chloride–N,N-dimethylformamide adduct to produce homoallylic chlorides or dienes depending on the nature and location of the substituents. A mechanistic explanation of the aforesaid observations has been provided. A promising antioxidant compound was prepared following this protocol and studied against Fenton’s reagent. The synthesis, micellar aggregation, and pH‐triggered intracellular drug delivery ability of an amphiphilic statistical copolymer (P2) are studied. Two methacrylate derivatives, one containing a hydrophilic pendant and the other containing a hydrophobic pendant chain, are copolymerized to produce P2. The hydrophobic pendant chain is linked to the polymer backbone by a β‐thiopropionate linkage, known to undergo slow hydrolysis at mild acidic pH. P2 forms a multimicellar cluster in water with a critical aggregation concentration of 0.02 mg mL−1 and encapsulates a hydrophobic guest such as pyrene, Nile red, or the anti‐cancer drug doxorubicin (Dox). Sustained release of the entrapped Dox (80% after 100 h) is noticed at pH 5.2, while release is significantly slower (35% after 100 h) at pH 7.4. Acidic hydrolysis of the β‐thiopropionate linkage leading to the reduction of the hydrophobicity is established as the cause for micellar disassembly and triggered drug release. Cell‐culture studies with the human breast cancer cell line, MCF‐7, reveal biocompatibility of P2 (below 150 μg mL−1). It is further tested for intracellular delivery of Dox. MCF‐7 cells remain healthy at pH 7.4 but become unhealthy at pH 5.2 when treated with a Dox‐loaded P2 micelles.
The present paper describes the synthesis of the redispersible rutile TiO2 nanocrystals in organic media by surface chemical modification reaction in an aqueous barium hydroxide solution. In our facile surface modification reactions, the surfaces of the TiO2 nanocrystals are coated by bimetallic TiOBa spices and saturated with BaOH terminal groups. The inherent characteristics such as morphology, size, crystallinity, and color of the nanocrystals remained almost unchanged after surface-treatment, but their dispersibility in organic media such as methanol and DMF were remarkably enhanced. It is ascribed that BaOH groups in the surface of the TiO2 nanocrystals prevented the formation of covalently bound agglomerates through Ti-O-Ti condensation reaction among the nanocrystals during the purification and water-elimination procedures. 相似文献
Six mononuclear complexes [M(L1)2(H2O)4] (M = Co(II), 1a and M = Mn(II), 1b), [Cu(L1)2(H2O)2] (1c), [Cu(L1)2(H2O)(Py)2] (1d), [Cu(L3)(H2O)Cl] · H2O (3a) and [Co(Sal)(H2O)(Py)3] · 2ClO4 · H2O (3b) of phenoxyacetic acid derivatives and Schiff base were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The Co(II) (1a) and Mn(II) (1b) complexes are isomorphous. X-ray crystal structural analyses reveal that these coordination complexes form polymeric structure via formation of different types of hydrogen bonding and π-stacking interactions in solid. Thermal analysis along with the powder X-ray diffraction data of these complexes shows the importance of the coordinated and/or crystal water molecules in stabilizing the MOF structure. Complexes 1a, 1c, 3a show marginal catalytic activity in the oxidation of olefins to epoxides in the presence of i-butyraldehyde and molecular oxygen. 相似文献
A novel rhodamine–tryptamine conjugate–based fluorescent and chromogenic chemosensor (RTS) for detection of Hg2+ present in water was reported. After gradual addition of Hg2+ in aqueous methanol solution of RTS, a strong orange fluorescence and deep-pink coloration were observed. The probe showed high selectivity towards Hg2+ compared to other competitive metal ions. The 1:1 binding stoichiometry between RTS and Hg2+ was established by Job’s plot analysis and mass spectroscopy. Initial studies showed that the synthesized probe RTS possessed fair non-toxicity and effectively passed through cell walls of model cell systems, viz., human neuroblastoma (SHSY5Y) cells and cervical cells (HeLa) to detect intercellular Hg2+ ions, signifying its utility in biological system. The limit of detection (LOD) was found to be 2.1 nM or 0.42 ppb by fluorescence titration. Additionally, the potential relevance of synthesized chemosensor for detecting Hg2+ ions in environmental water samples has been demonstrated.
The Mott law for the dc hopping conductivity for amorphous semiconductors is derived from the rate equation formalism by using the methodology of Butcher and Hayden. This formula is then fitted to the experimental data for a-Si, a-Ge, partially compensated heavily doped n-type Ge and polymer PPIB at 640 atmospheric pressures. It is found that the “simplified Butcher formula” approximately fits the experimental data for a-Si and a-Ge. The values of the density of states at the Fermi level calculated from the expression for the prefactor of this formula are much more reasonable values than those obtained from the original Mott formula. The origin of this significant improvement is found to lie not in improved approximations but in the choice of the values of the characteristics frequency R0. 相似文献
Complexes of the type [RuIII(L)Cl2(PPh3)2] and [RuII(L)2(PPh3)2] (HL=benzoylacetone or acetylacetone) have been synthesized by the reaction of [RuCl2(PPh3)3] with HL under various experimental conditions. The [RuIII(L)Cl2(PPh3)2] complexes are one-electron paramagnetic species and, in solution, they show intense LMCT transitions in the visible region together with weak ligand-field transitions at lower energies. The [RuII(L)2(PPh3)2] complexes are diamagnetic and their solutions show sharp 1H n.m.r. signals and also show intense MLCT transitions in the visible region. In MeCN solution, the [RuIII(L)Cl2(PPh3)2] complexes show a reversible RuIII-RuII reduction near –0.3V and an irreversible RuIII- RuIV oxidation near 1.2 V versus s.c.e. A reversible RuII-RuIII oxidation is displayed by the [RuII(L)2(PPh3)2] complexes in MeCN solution near 0.3 V versus s.c.e. followed by another reversible RuIII-RuIV oxidation near 1.1 V versus s.c.e. The [RuII(L)2(PPh3)2] complexes have been oxidized to the corresponding [RuIII(L)2(PPh3)2]+ analogues and isolated as ClO4– salts in the solid state. The oxidized complexes are one-electron paramagnetic. They are 1:1 electrolytes in solution and show intense LMCT transitions in the visible region along with weak ligand-field transitions at lower energies. 相似文献

The band structures of the doubly odd 138Pr nucleus have been investigated using the 128Te(14N, 4n)138Pr reaction at a beam energy of 55-65 MeV. Altogether six distinct structures have been established, of which the lower part of the yrast band and two side bands were known from earlier works. The observed level properties of the members of the yrast band have been compared with theoretical calculations performed within the Particle Rotor Model (PRM) with axially symmetric core. The experimental branching ratios and B(M1)/B(E2) values when compared with the theoretical results of the PRM, suggest an oblate core. 相似文献
