The wavelet transform has been shown to be a useful tool for multivariate calibration. However, the choice of wavelet transform settings (wavelet family, length and number of decomposition levels) for a given application is still an open problem. The present paper proposes an alternative approach, which consists of generating an ensemble model by combining individual models obtained with different wavelet transform settings. The advantages of the proposed method are demonstrated in two analytical problems, namely the determination of moisture and protein in wheat by near infrared spectroscopy and the determination of specific mass and three distillation temperatures (T10, T50, T90) in gasoline by middle infrared spectroscopy. In these problems, the results varied considerably among individual models, which underlines the risk associated to an inadequate choice of wavelet transform settings. In contrast, the ensemble model always provided adequate results in terms of prediction error and noise sensitivity. The proposed method can be seen as an advantageous alternative for multivariate calibration in the wavelet domain, as it frees the analyst from the need to choose a particular configuration for the wavelet transform. 相似文献

The generation of two idler waves inside a high birefringent (HiBi) optical fiber through three four-wave mixing (FWM) processes is studied theoretically. The coupled-equations for the field amplitudes are derived and analytically solved, in the co-polarized and orthogonal polarization schemes. The obtained solutions take into account the delayed Raman response of the medium. The polarization sensitivity of the generation of the idler waves is analyzed. Results show that the stimulated Raman scattering does not change the efficiency of the idler wave generation in the co-polarized scheme, whereas in the orthogonal polarization scheme that nonlinear process decreases the efficiency of the four-wave mixing processes. Results also show that this set of multiple four-wave mixing processes is physically quite different from the typical single or dual pump four-wave mixing configurations. Findings show that the power transfer from the pumps to the idler fields can lead to a monotonous growth, or a periodic evolution of the sidebands along the fiber. In this paper, two-dimensional convolutional codes constituted by sequences in $(\mathbb F ^n)^{\mathbb{Z }^{2}}$ where $\mathbb F $ is a finite field, are considered. In particular, we restrict to codes with rate $\frac{1}{n}$ and we investigate the problem of minimal dimension for realizations of such codes by separable Roesser models. Hole-doped rare-earth manganite La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 and the electron-doped manganite La0.7Ce0.3MnO3 both show a metal-insulator transition around 250 K associated with a ferromagnetic transition and colossal magnetoresistance.
In an earlier publication we have reported the rectifying characteristic of La0.7Ca0.3MnO3/SrTiO3/La0.7Ce0.3MnO3 tunnel junction at room temperature, showing that it is possible to fabricate a diode out of the polaronic insulator regime
of doped manganites. Here we report the magneto-transport properties of such a tunnel junction above and below the metal-insulator
transition. We show, from the large positive magnetoresistance of the tunnel junction at low temperature, that La0.7Ce0.3MnO3 could be a minority spin carrier ferromagnet. The implication of this observation is discussed. 相似文献

Self-injection length in La0.7Ca0.3MnO3-YBa2Cu3O7-δ ferromagnet-superconductor multilayer thin films
We have carried out extensive studies on the self-injection problem in barrierless heterojunctions between La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 (LCMO) and YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) thin films. The heterojunctions were formed in situ by sequentially growing LCMO and YBCO films on 〈100〉 LaAlO3 (LAO) substrate using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) system. YBCO micro-bridges with 64 μm width were patterned both on
the LAO (control) and LCMO side of the substrate. Critical current, I
c, was measured at 77 K on both the control side as well as the LCMO side for different YBCO film thickness. It was observed
that while the control side showed a J
c of ∼ 2 × 106 A/cm2, the LCMO side showed about half the value for the same thickness (1800 ?). The difference in J
c indicates that a certain thickness of YBCO has become ‘effectively’ normal due to self-injection. From the measurement of
J
c at two different thicknesses (1800 ? and 1500 ?) of YBCO films both on the LAO as well as the LCMO side, the value of self-injection
length (at 77 K) was estimated to be ∼ 900 ?. To the authors’ best knowledge, this is the first time that self-injection length
has been quantified. A control experiment carried out with LaNiO3 deposited by PLD on YBCO did not show any evidence of self-injection. 相似文献

O7+δ (M=Mo, W and Re) compounds have been stabilized by chemical doping. Superconductivity is observed for these phases in the
range 30–45 K. X-ray diffraction studies suggest a relatively small orthorhombicity compared to Ba-analogue. X-ray photoelectron
spectroscopic investigations reveal that the stabilizing cations are in the hexavalent state. The observation of the higher
oxidation state of M-ions accounts for the excess oxygen content in these phases which is in accordence with the diffraction
results.

Molybdenum trioxide thin films were prepared by reactive pulsed laser deposition on Corning 7059 glass substrates. The influence
of oxygen partial pressure and deposition temperature on the structure, surface morphology and optical properties of these
films was studied to understand the growth mechanism of MoO3 thin films. The films formed at 473 K in an oxygen partial pressure of 100 mTorr exhibited predominantly a (0k0) orientation,
corresponding to an orthorhombic layered structure of α-MoO3. The evaluated optical band gap of the films was 3.24 eV. The crystallite size increased with increase of deposition temperature.
The films formed at an oxygen partial pressure of pO2=100 mTorr and at a deposition temperature greater than 700 K exhibited both (0k0) and (0kl) orientations, representing α-β
mixed phases of MoO3. The films formed at an oxygen partial pressure less than 100 mTorr were found to be sub-stoichiometric with α-β mixed phases.
The investigation revealed the growth of polycrystalline and single-phase orthorhombic-layered-structure α-MoO3 thin films with composition nearly approaching the nominal stoichiometry at moderate substrate temperatures in an oxygen
partial pressure of 100 mTorr.
