The helium energy spectrum in Martian orbit has been observed by the MARIE charged particle spectrometer aboard the 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft. The orbital data were taken from March 13, 2002 to October 28, 2003, at which time a very intense Solar Particle Event caused a loss of communication between the instrument and the spacecraft. The silicon detector stack in MARIE is optimized for the detection of protons and helium in the energy range below , which typically includes almost all of the flux during SPEs. This also makes MARIE an efficient detector for GCR helium in the energy range of 50–. We will present the first fully normalized flux results from MARIE, using helium ions in this energy range.  相似文献

One of the innovative technological directions for the high-temperature superconductors has been persued by fabricating the heteroepitaxial multilayer structures such as superconductor-semiconductor heterostructures. In the present investigation, metal/superconductor/semiconductor (Ag/Tl-2223/CdSe) hetero-nanostructures have successfully been fabricated using dc electrodeposition technique and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies. The measurement of junction capacitance as a function of biasing voltage was used for the estimation of junction built-in-potential (V D) and to study the charge distribution in a heterojunction. The Mott-Schottky plots were measured for each junction in dark and under the photo-irradiation. The effect of laser irradiation on C-V characteristics of hetero-nanostructure has been studied.  相似文献

It is proven that a large class of pionization Mueller Regge models are equivalent to the multiperipheral model. An orthogonal similarity transformation is found which allows one to transform in either direction between equivalent multiperipheral and Mueller models. Models with charge are discussed and the problem of constructing charge conserving Mueller models is solved.  相似文献

The decays ψ′ → ψππ and ψω? are studied in the framework of Zweig Rule violation via SU(4) pole dominance. The SU(3) character of the decay of the ψ is discussed in the same model. Using results of the purely hadronic decays, the cascade transition rates ψ′ → ?c + γ and ?carψ + γ are calculated and compared to recent experimental data.  相似文献

For the linearized Boltzmann equation with finite cross section, the solution is represented as an integral over the paths of a Markov jump process. The integral is only shown to converge conditionally, where the limiting process is defined by an increasing sequence of stopping times. The notion of local martingale plays an important role. A nonlinear, macroscopic multi-phasic model for describing the interactions between solid, fluid, and ionic species in porous materials is presented. Governing equations are derived based on the nonlinear theories of solid mechanics, linear flow theory of Newtonian fluids, and theory of irreversible thermodynamics for the transport of ions and ionic solutions. The model shows that the transport coupling between ions and ionic solution exists only when the porous material has a membrane-like feature, which could be inside the material or on the material boundaries. Otherwise, the coupling occurs only between the solid and fluid phases and the transport of ionic species will have no effect on the macroscopic stresses, strains and displacements of the porous material. As an application of the present multi-phasic model, a numerical example of the human cornea under the shock of NaCl hypertonic solution applied to its endothelial surface is presented. This is a typical example of how ionic transport induces swelling in biological tissues. The results obtained from the present multi-phasic model demonstrate that the mechanical properties of the tissue have an important influence on the swelling of the cornea. Without taking into account this influence, the predicted swelling may be exaggerated.  相似文献

We consider a diffusion process on D⊂RdDRd, which upon hitting ∂DD, is redistributed in DD according to a probability measure depending continuously on its exit point. We prove that the distribution of the process converges exponentially fast to its unique invariant distribution and characterize the exponent as the spectral gap for a differential operator that serves as the generator of the process on a suitable function space.  相似文献
