H2n+1NH2. The products (especially N-diphenylphosphoryl-N′-n-octylurea) are efficient extractants capable of extracting actinides and lanthanides from nitric acid solutions with high
distribution coefficients.

Heating of (η-C4H4BCy)Co(CO)2I (Cy is cyclohexyl) with arene ligands in the presence of AlCl3 at 80 °C followed by hydrolysis afforded the [(η-C4H4BOH)Co(arene)]+ complexes (arene = C6H6 (2a), C6H5Me (2b), and 1,3-C6H4Me2 (2c)). The starting iodide complex was synthesized by the reaction of [(η-C4H4BCy)Co(CO)2]2 with I2. The structure of [2a]BPh4 was established by X-ray diffraction.

New carborane-containing amidophosphites are synthesized. Their effectiveness as ligands in the Rh-catalyzed hydroformylation of alkenes in supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) is tested. It is shown that the use of carboranylamidophosphites makes it possible to achieve a high degree of conversion at a low catalyst loading. A novel facile one‐pot synthesis of the 1,2‐azaphospholanes by intramolecular alkylation of 3‐halopropyl amides of tricoordinate phosphorus has been suggested. Using this method, a series of the differently N‐substituted 1,2‐azaphospholanium salts were synthesized. 3‐Aminopropylphosphine oxides were obtained by hydrolysis of the salts.
