The first experiments measuring the density of a compressed deuterium and tritium mixture in microtargets of indirect irradiation (x-ray targets) were performed at the Iskra-5 facility. The density was determined according to the broadening of the lines of hydrogen-and helium-like argon added to the DT gas as a diagnostics material. A series of three experiments was performed with x-ray targets in which the central capsule filled with a DT + Ar mixture over a range of shell thicknesses. In two of the experiments, argon emission spectra were recorded and the density of the compressed gas was determined. For a microtarget approximately 280 μm in diameter with a wall approximately 7 μm thick, an analysis of the experimental results yielded an estimated density in the compressed gas of ∼1 g/cm3. Gas-dynamic calculations using the SNDA (spectral nonequilibrium diffusion with absorption) program show that argon emission takes place just after reaching maximum temperature, but much sooner than maximum compression. The results of a calculation for an experiment with low relative Ar concentration are in overall agreement with the experimental data. The effect of incoherence of the readout light on the level of crosstalk in wavelength-division multiplexing of reflection holograms is studied. The level of crosstalk is determined theoretically as a function of the spectral width of the readout light, the total number of multiplexed holograms, and the frequency difference between neighboring holograms. The results of an experimental study of the influence of unstable MHD modes on plasma confinement in an L-2M stellarator are presented. The spectral and statistical characteristics of turbulent plasma simultaneously at both the edge and center of the plasma are investigated. It is shown that at constant power of electron-cyclotron heating of the plasma the energy content of the plasma depends strongly on the strength of the externally applied vertical magnetic field used to adjust the position of the plasma column. Appreciable degradation of plasma confinement is observed for values of the vertical field such that ideal MHD modes become unstable in the greater part of the plasma column. This in turn is due to the formation of a magnetic configuration with a magnetic “hump.” At the same time, in the edge plasma the instability of resistive-balloon modes grows, and turbulent particle transport increases. Passive cw mode locking of an ytterbium-doped fluoride phosphate glass laser is demonstrated, for what we believe to be the first time, based solely on the Kerr effect in the active medium in a resonator with dispersion compensation. Nearly bandwidth-limited pulses as short as 160fs are generated at ~1040 nm. We obtain average output powers as high as 250mW at 170-MHz repetition rate with absorbed pump power as low as 1.2W.  相似文献

研究了三种掺Yb钒酸盐晶体Yb:LuVO4,Yb:YVO4和Yb:GdVO4的激光振荡中所呈现的光学双稳态效应.以晶体所吸收的抽运功率表征的双稳区宽度ΔPabs可超过1W,在双稳区高功率一侧的边界,即激光振荡的上阈值点,出现激光输出功率的不连续变化或跃变,同时发生亚毫秒时间尺度上的大幅度强度涨落.谐振腔的输出耦合透过率、晶体长度、晶体中的热效应等对双稳态效应均具有重要影响.  相似文献

The incubation-period-based criterion for fracture is considered in terms of the Zhurkov kinetic model of fracture. Within the kinetic model, fracture is treated as a continuously developing process, which starts immediately after the application of a tensile load to a sample and consists in breaking of the interatomic bonds and gradual accumulation of broken bonds in the material in the course of a fracture test. For certain materials, the inclusion of the thermal-fluctuation mechanism for fracture in the incubation-period-based criterion significantly affects the position of the static branch of the time dependence of strength. Time dependences of strength are calculated for a number of materials. The experimental data are analyzed using the structural-time criterion for fracture, which allows one to obtain a unified time dependence of strength for quasi-static and high-rate short-term loadings. The temperature dependence of the incubation period (latent time) is calculated analytically, and a relation is found between the latent fracture time and the thermal vibration frequency of atoms.  相似文献

Polarized reflectance and optical conductivity spectra of single crystals of two new isostructural organic conductors based on the BEDT-TSeF molecule, namely, the κ-(BETS)4Hg2.84Br8 superconductor (T c =2 K) and the κ-(BETS)4Hg3Cl8 metal, which undergoes a smooth transition to the dielectric state near 35 K, have been obtained in the spectral region 700–6500 cm−1 at temperatures of 300–15 K. At 300 K, the spectra of both compounds are nearly identical and differ from the Drude spectrum characteristic of metals. The nature of the observed difference is discussed, and the spectra are described in terms of a cluster approach with inclusion of electron-electron correlations in the Hubbard approximation combined with the Drude model. The parameters of the theory were determined, including the electron transfer integrals between molecules in a cluster. The spectra in the conducting plane of the crystals were found to be essentially anisotropic, which should be assigned to specific features of in-plane interaction between molecules. The spectra of the superconductor and the metal become increasingly different as the temperature is lowered. The spectra of the metal obtained for T<150 K exhibit splitting of the broad electronic maximum in the mid-IR region into two bands, which is accompanied by a splitting of a vibronic feature deriving from electron interaction with intramolecular BETS vibrations of ν3(A g ) symmetry.
