Monosaccharides are added to the hydrophilic face of a self‐assembled asymmetric FeII metallohelix, using CuAAC chemistry. The sixteen resulting architectures are water‐stable and optically pure, and exhibit improved antiproliferative selectivity against colon cancer cells (HCT116 p53+/+) with respect to the non‐cancerous ARPE‐19 cell line. While the most selective compound is a glucose‐appended enantiomer, its cellular entry is not mainly glucose transporter‐mediated. Glucose conjugation nevertheless increases nuclear delivery ca 2.5‐fold, and a non‐destructive interaction with DNA is indicated. Addition of the glucose units affects the binding orientation of the metallohelix to naked DNA, but does not substantially alter the overall affinity. In a mouse model, the glucose conjugated compound was far better tolerated, and tumour growth delays for the parent compound (2.6 d) were improved to 4.3 d; performance as good as cisplatin but with the advantage of no weight loss in the subjects.  相似文献

Define a minimal detour subgraph of the n-dimensional cube to be a spanning subgraph G of Qn having the property that for vertices x, y of Qn, distances are related by dG(x, y) ≤ dQn(x, y) + 2. Let f(n) be the minimum number of edges of such a subgraph of Qn. After preliminary work on distances in subgraphs of product graphs, we show that The subgraphs we construct to establish this bound have the property that the longest distances are the same as in Qn, and thus the diameter does not increase. Pure enantiomers of chiral (atropisomeric) polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) obtained by high-performance liquid chromatography were used to establish the gas chromatographic elution sequences of the (+)- and (−)-enantiomers of six PCB atropisomers on Chirasil-Dex. The elution order was found to be (−/+) for PCBs 84, 132, 136, and 176 and (+/−) for PCBs 135 and 174. The retention characteristics of all 19 tri- and tetra-ortho atropisomeric PCBs were also investigated. Nine of the atropisomers could be separated using this chiral selector. PCBs 95, 132, and 149 were completely resovled and PCBs 84, 91, 135, 136, 174, and 176 were partially separated (R = 0.7–0.9). All of the separated congeners are 2,3,6-substituted in at least one ring, and conversely – none of the congeners that lacks 2,3,6-substitution could be separated. Thus, chiral recognition and enantiomer separation seems to be strongly governed by 2,3,6-substitution.  相似文献

Small-angle X-ray scattering using synchrotron radiation at pressures up to 700 MPa has been performed on triblock-copolymer gels, polystyrene-rubber-polystyrene with poly(ethylene/butylene) as the rubber mid-blocks. A 2-stage pressure behaviour could be verified by comparison of the experimental data with the Tait-equation and a model of pressure screening.  相似文献
