Three glycosides and a long chain alcohol were isolated from the bulbs of Polianthes tuberosa, these were identified as 3,29-dihydroxystigmast-5-ene-3-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside (1), ethyl beta-D-galactopyranoside (2), ethyl-alpha-D-galactopyranoside (3), and 1-tricosanol (4). The structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic and chemical methods. All four isolated compounds were screened for their cytotoxicity, antibacterial and antifungal activities, none of the compounds showed any significant activity.  相似文献

Quercusides A and B, new flavonoid glucosides have been isolated from the chloroform soluble fractions of Quercus incana. Their structures were assigned from 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra, distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer (DEPT) and by correlation spectroscopy, heteronuclear multiple quantum correlation (HMQC) and heteronuclear multiple bond correlation (HMBC) experiments. In this study, water-soaked seeds of sunflower were exposed to He–Ne laser irradiation of different energies to determine whether or not He–Ne laser irradiation caused changes to seed thermodynamic and germination parameters as well as effects on the activities of germination enzymes. The experiment comprised four energy levels: 0 (control), 100, 300 and 500 mJ of laser energy and each treatment replicated four times arranged in a completely randomized design. The experimentation was performed under the greenhouse conditions in the net-house of the Department of Botany, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. The seed thermodynamic parameters were calculated according to seed germination thermograms determined with a calorimeter at 25.8°C for 72 h. Various thermodynamic parameters of seed (ΔH, (ΔS)e, (ΔS)c, (ΔS)et and (ΔS)ct) were affected significantly due to presowing laser treatment. Significant changes in seed germination parameters and enzyme activities were observed in seeds treated with He–Ne laser. The He–Ne laser seed treatment resulted in increased activities of amylase and protease. These results indicate that the low power continuous wave He–Ne laser light seed treatment has considerable biological effects on seed metabolism. This seed treatment technique can be potentially employed to enhance agricultural productivity.  相似文献

A simple approach for the growth of long-range highly ordered nanoporous anodic alumina film in H2SO4 electrolyte through a single step anodization without any additional pre-anodizing procedure is reported. Free-standing porous anodic alumina film of 180 μm thickness with through hole morphology was obtained. A simple and single step process was used for the detachment of alumina from aluminum substrate. The effect of anodizing conditions, such as anodizing voltage and time on the pore diameter and pore ordering is discussed. The metal/oxide and oxide/electrolyte interfaces were examined by high resolution scanning transmission electron microscope. The arrangement of pores on metal/oxide interface was well ordered with smaller diameters than that of the oxide/electrolyte interface. The inter-pore distance was larger in metal/oxide interface as compared to the oxide/electrolyte interface. The size of the ordered domain was found to depend strongly upon anodizing voltage and time.  相似文献

Epoxy resins (EP) have been used as a thermos-setting material in the field of coating, casting, bonding agent, and laminating. However, a major drawback associated with its use is the lack of good flaming properties, and it is responsible for heavy smoke along with hazardous gases considerably limiting its uses in various fields. In this study, N-ethanolamine triazine-piperizine, a melamine polymer (ETPMP), was established as a new charring-foaming agent and was successfully synthesized with ethanolamine, piperizine, cyanuric chloride, and melamine as precursor molecules via the nucleophilic substitution reaction method. Elemental analysis and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy analysis were applied to approve the synthesis of ETPMP and confirmation of its structure and characterization. The epoxy coating of intumescent flame retardant (IFR) was equipped by introducing ETPMP, ammonium polyphosphate (APP), and copper oxide (CuO) in multiple composition ratios. CuO was loaded at various amounts into the IFR-coating system as a synergistic agent. The synergistic action of CuO on IFR coatings was scientifically examined by using different analytical tests such as vertical burning test (UL-94V), limited oxygen index (LOI), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), cone calorimeter, and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that small changes in the amount of CuO expressively amplified the LOI results and enhanced the V-0 ratings in the UL-94V test. The TGA data clearly demonstrate that the inclusion of CuO can transform the thermal deprivation behavior of coatings with a growing char slag proportion with elevated temperatures. Information from cone calorimeter data affirmed that CuO can decrease the burning factors by total heat release (THR) together with peak heat release rate (PHRR). The SEM images indicated that CuO can enrich the power and compression of the intumescent char that restricts the movement of heat and oxygen. Our results demonstrate a positive influence of CuO on the epoxy-headed intumescent flame retardant coatings.  相似文献

Some novel Schiff bases bearing phenylferrocene were synthesized by condensation reaction of 4‐ferrocenylaniline with different aromatic aldehydes. The compounds prepared were characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, UV–visible, 1H and 13C NMR) and elemental analysis. The single crystal analysis of compound F1 [monoclinic, space group, P21/c (no. 14), a = 19.858(2), b = 7.416(2), c = 12.095(5) Å, β = 106.257(14) ] indicates a trans imine bond with a bond length of 1.270(2) Å, typical of a carbon‐nitrogen double bond. Some novel ferrocene containing aromatic polyamides were prepared by low‐temperature solution phase polycondensation of 1,1′‐ferrocenedicarboxylic acid chloride with some newly synthesized aromatic diamines in tetrahydrofuran, in the presence of triethylamine. The amorphous polymers were derived in good yields, and did not melt at >350 °C. The monomers and the resulting polymers were characterized by their physical properties, elemental analysis, 1H‐NMR, FTIR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analyses. The polymeric products were insoluble in common solvents tested. However, all were miscible in concentrated H2SO4, forming reddish brown solutions at ambient conditions. The glass transition temperatures (Tg) of these polymers were quite high, which is characteristic of aramids. They are stable up to 500 °C, with 10% mass loss observed in the range 400–650 °C. The activation energies of pyrolysis for each of the products were calculated by Horowitz and Metzger's method. Solution viscosities of the polymers were reduced in concentrated sulfuric acid, which is due to their non‐Newtonian behavior. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Summary Frequency domain measurements on Na2B4O7 and Na2B4O7(95%)-V2O5(5%) glass systems have been carried out in the frequency range 10−2 to 104 Hz and temperature range 300 to 450 K. The complex capacitance has shown fractional power law dependences on frequency which obey the generalized Maxwell-Wagner relationships. The activation energy is found to increase with an increase in V2O5 composition.  相似文献
