The influence of thermal molecular motions on spin echo decay in pure nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) is considered. Our calculations show that the Hahn echo decay is caused by dipole-dipole interaction of the nuclear spins and is strongly affected by molecular mobility that can lead to the shortening of the echo decay with increased temperature. Slow molecular motion yields an exponential τ3 time dependence, while fast motion yields an exponential decay. The outlined theory allows us to explain an unusual shortening of the35Cl NQR echo decay on heating in thiourea-C2Cl6 inclusion compound. 相似文献

We investigated a particular design of a highly birefringent PCF with attractive features for pressure sensing applications. A plane-wave method together with the finite element method were used to numerically calculate phase and group modal birefringence, pressure and temperature sensitivities of our fiber. The simulation results together with the experiments demonstrate a considerable difference between a very high phase birefringence (B ∼ 10−3) and a very low negative group birefringence (G −10−3). Our fiber exhibits a low and positive temperature sensitivity (KT < 0.1 rad/(K⋅m)), and relatively high and negative mechanical (pressure) sensitivity (Kp ≤ −10 rad/(MPa⋅m)), which supports its possible use as a mechanical sensor that does not require any temperature compensation. 相似文献

Using Prussian blue (PB) electrodeposited on gold-covered foil as a model system, we have demonstrated the usefulness of
the time-derivative measurements of absorbance versus potential (linear potential-scan voltabsorptometry) for spectroelectrochemical
characterization of thin electrochromic films. The time-derivative signals were monitored for PB at 680 and 420 nm in potassium,
sodium and lithium electrolytes. Information obtained from cyclic voltabsorptometry is equivalent or complementary to that
from conventional cyclic voltammetry. In the case of PB films investigated in lithium electrolyte, the voltabsorptometric
time-derivative peaks are better defined than the respective voltammetric peaks. The combination of voltabsorptometry with
voltammetry enables molar absorptivity and/or film loading to be determined. Also, concentration changes of differently colored
mixed-valence redox centers can be monitored as a function of applied potential.

The generalized Steiner problem (GSP) is concerned with the determination of a minimum cost subnetwork of a given network where some (not necessarily all) vertices satisfy certain pairwise (vertex or edge) connectivity requirements.The GSP has applications to the design of water and electricity supply networks, communication networks and other large-scale systems where connectivity requirements ensure the communication between the selected vertices when some vertices and/or edges can become inoperational due to scheduled maintenance, error, or overload.The GSP is known to beNP-complete. The thermal expansion coefficient α of the Fe-Ni, Fe-Cr and Fe70Ni30-xRux alloys was studied over the temperature range from 4,2 to 300 K. The magnetic contribution to α for all investigated alloys is obtained. The stabilization of the γ-phase in Fe70Ni30 alloys by small additions of ruthenium is shown to lead to the appearance of Invar anomalies of the thermal expansion coefficient. The magnetic contribution to α of Fe-Ni and Fe-Cr alloys is shown to have the same character despite the difference of crystal structure of these alloys. 相似文献
