A novel preparation of methyl (13S)-13-hydroxyisoatisiren-18-oate ( 4 ), a key-intermediate in a synthesis of (+)-methyl trachyloban-18-oate ((+)- 1 ), from (?)-abietic acid, is described. Since (?)- 1 has been previously converted into (?)-methyl 16-oxo-17-norkauran-18-oate ((?)- 16 ), our preparation of 4 constitutes also a formal total synthesis, from (?)-abietic acid, of (+)- 16 . Key steps in this approach were the allene photoaddition to podocarp-8(14)-en-13-one ( 5 ) and the conversion of the endo-toluene-4-sulfonate 11 into the exo-benzoate 12b .  相似文献

Si/SiO2 superlattices are recently under investigation to add optical functionality to silicon based microelectronics. In such superlattices quantum-confinement should drive Si to become a good light emitter. Emission properties can be further improved and controlled by placing the emitter in optical microcavities. In this paper emission properties of (Si/SiO2), superlattices grown by Low Pressure Chemical Vapour Deposition will be compared with the ones obtained by other growth techniques and the origin of the emission will be discussed. Emission properties can be further improved and controlled by placing the emitter in optical microcavities. Optical properties of microcavities produced with standard complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor techniques containing Si/SiO2 superlattices as light emitter will be reviewed and a comparison between properties estimated from calculations and experiments will be given.  相似文献

It is shown in the literature that Tollmien−Schlichting waves can be damped and transition delayed by a proper modulation of the streamwise velocity in a boundary layer (BL), which can be obtained using miniature vortex generators (MVGs). Experiments show that the amplitude of TS waves is not always monotonically damped past the MVGs. In this study, direct numerical simulations and local stability analysis have been performed in order to provide an interpretation of the experiments and to characterize further the stabilization mechanism induced by this type of control. We consider a two-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with concentrated nonlinearity. In both the focusing and defocusing case we prove local well-posedness, i.e., existence and uniqueness of the solution for short times, as well as energy and mass conservation. In addition, we prove that this implies global existence in the defocusing case, irrespective of the power of the nonlinearity, while in the focusing case blowing-up solutions may arise.  相似文献

The Cayley-Bacharach Property (CBP), which has been classically stated as a property of a finite set of points in an affine or projective space, is extended to arbitrary 0-dimensional affine algebras over arbitrary base fields. We present characterizations and explicit algorithms for checking the CBP directly, via the canonical module, and in combination with the property of being a locally Gorenstein ring. Moreover, we characterize strict Gorenstein rings by the CBP and the symmetry of their affine Hilbert function, as well as by the strict CBP and the last difference of their affine Hilbert function.  相似文献

In this paper we design and implement rigorous algorithms for computing symbolic dynamics for piecewise-monotone-continuous maps of the interval. The algorithms are based on computing forwards and backwards approximations of the boundary, discontinuity and critical points. We explain how to handle the discontinuities in the symbolic dynamics which occur when the computed partition element boundaries are not disjoint. The method is applied to compute the symbolic dynamics and entropy bounds for the return map of the singular limit of a switching system with hysteresis and the forced Van der Pol equation.  相似文献

Abstract In [16] a visco-elastic relaxation system, called the relaxed Burnett system, was proposed by Jinand Slemrod as a moment approximation to the Boltzmann equation. The relaxed Burnett system is weaklyparabolic, has a linearly hyperbolic convection part, and is endowed with a generalized eotropy inequality. Itagrees with the solution of the Boltzmann equation up to the Burnett order via the Chapman-Enskog expansion. We develop a one-dimensional non-oscillatory numerical scheme based on the relaxed Burnett system forthe Boltzmann equation. We compare numerical results for stationary shocks based on this relaxation scheme,and those obtained by the DSMC (Direct Simulation Monte Carlo), by the Navier-Stokes equations and bythe extended thermodynamics with thirteen moments (the Grad equations). Our numerical experiments showthat the relaxed Burnett gives more accurate approximations to the shock profiles of the Boltzmann equationobtained by the DSMC, for a range of Mach numbers for hypersonic flows, th  相似文献

We estimate the asymptotic behavior for the Stokes solutions, with external forces first. We found that if there are external forces, then the energy decays slowly even if the forces decay quickly. Then, we also obtain the asymptotic behavior in the temporal-spatial direction for weak solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations. We also provide a simple example of external forces which shows that the Stokes solution does not decay quickly.  相似文献
